I KNOW!!! Isn't that the most ridiculous thing you have ever heard??? He is a businessman, and runs a multi-million dollar business....but he can't place a 911 call????

No its not the most ridiculous. According to RDI, the wife of a businessman who runs a multi-million dollar business can't spell business! Oh, I forgot. She 'deliberately' misspelled business.

Yes...you are right. Funny how....in your scenario....the intruder cannot spell business....BUT...he can spell....attaché...complete with the little thingie magig over the e. PUHLLEEEEEZZZZZZZ.....business was mispelled deliberately. They have you fooled, don't they??? Patsy was banking on the fact that NOBODY could possibly believe that the wife of a business man would misspell the word BUSINESS. She screwed up though...when she correctly spelled the word....attaché. Kinda ironic that attaché has the same French spelling....(with the é)....as JonBenét.

Good catch! (the accent ague) in JBR's name and attache'.

What kind of intruder uses the word....attaché....anyway? Why not the word briefcase?? Or heck...as far as that goes...why should an intruder care what the heck kind of bag the money is in.....just as long as he gets it? OH YEAH...that's right....it wasn't a REAL KIDNAPPING. That's just another red flag to me....Patsy's passion for French stuff....giving JB a french spelling of her name, using the é.....Why not...JONBENAY instead of JonBenét?? And now we have attaché....a word that ...imo...an intruder would NOT have used.

What conditions exist where it would make sense to misspell business deliberately, but spell attache correctly?

I suppose they would be the same conditions where it would make sense to threaten to behead a 6 year old girl. Going a bit overboard, though. Not even believable. Were'nt they trying for believable?

and don't forget the little dog Jaques.Patsy was a french freak.

I was just about to post that...but I wanted to find a link first.

"They went to a small pet store at Crossroads Mall, and JonBenét found this bichon frise that looked more like a stuffed animal than a dog. She looked up at Patsy, with this pleading look on her face and this little white puppy in her arms, and what was Patsy to do? They bought the dog on the spot. They named him “Jacques.” (French name pronounced like: “Jock.”)"

They actually had TWO dogs named Jacques...one of them was named Jacque 2. I will post that section if needed.

that was in DOI as well.I felt sorry for the poor sick dog...one thing I teach my kids is that when we get a pet,we keep it,and we take care of it when it's sick, even if it's a terminal illness.I can understand the cancer and all,but she then lied to JB about the other dog and said it was the same Jacques ! comon' now,she wasn't stupid, and that wasn't right.
It would have been a good way to teach her about life and death,IMO.

The condition where you are trying to appear stupid enough that you can't spell business, but then you make a boo-boo when you spell the word attaché. They acheived their goal...with YOU anyway...by that I mean....Patsy is thinking while she is writing the RN....or as John is dictating to her what to write...."I will misspell the word business....because nobody would EVER suspect that I wrote this, because my husband is a business man". There were other harder words in that RN....that could have been misspelled....WHY the word business?? Because she knew that if she misspelled it ....it would distance her away FROM being the author of it. She apparently forgot that she was dumbing down the RN...when she wrote the word....attaché, though.

Going overboard when they wrote the part about beheading a six year old? NO...not really,...not when they are trying to save their own butts...and make it like some sort of sadistic intruder killed her. Doesn't sound quite as bad, if the RN had of said...."if you talk to so much as a stray dog, your daughter will be garotted".....now does it?? Notice how though...she wasn't beheaded? Why would an intruder/kidnapper threaten to behead her, and then not do it? Then again, why would the intruder/kidnapper...say that she has been kidnapped and write a two and a half page RN, when in reality she lies dead in the basement of her own home??

Okay...so JonBenét, attaché and Jacque....are all French words. Patsy loved anything French....(probably had a French boyfriend on the side...just kidding)....so it would make perfect sense for her to use AND SPELL the word attaché correctly. Personally....I say BRIEFCASE. She just always tried to be hoity toity...even coming across that way in the RN. NO intruder is going to spell the word attaché correctly, but misspell the word business. That....was done on purpose...because....OH NO...Patsy couldn't have possibly written that ransom note, it doesn't matter WHAT those TEN experts say. She would NEVER EVER misspell the word BUSINESS. Just like she would NEVER EVER put that big of spoon in that pineapple bowl, like that, OR drink hot tea from a GLASS!!! (GASP!) So, NO....no way, no how....since Patsy KNEW how to spell the word business, and it was misspelled in the ransom note.....there is NO WAY that she could have written it. PUHLEEEZZZZZZ....spare me.

You're kidding me, right? You've got PR dumbing down and forgetting to dumb down, all at the same time, in order to satisfy RDI scenario. Don't you see all these things that have to happen just so, in the RDI scenario?Thats ridiculous.

Probably it was some nut who killed JBR.

Going overboard when they wrote the part about beheading a six year old?

Way overboard. If you stop and think about it, the idea of beheading a 6 year old girl was presented in the RN. Nobody thinks about beheading a 6 year old girl. Its not in a movie, its not in a book. Its totally unique, and superfluous to any RDI scenario (that means it doesn't fit any RDI scenario).

Only a nut would think of this.

....WHY the word business??. . .
There is actually another reason for her to have mispelled that particular word. It was supposed to point to a famous serial killer who also made that spelling error years ago and who was never caught.

Actually...I don't think that she tried to dumb down the whole note...just the word BUSINESS, and I believe that she did that....to distance herself from it. (WHY....heavens to betsy...Patsy could have never written that note, because the word business is mispelled...and SHE IS THE WIFE of a businessman, she would KNOW how to spell that word). What sort of "NUT".....can spell the word attaché, complete with the thingie over the e..and NOT the word business?? That was obviously done on PURPOSE. I am quite sure, that when they were transposing that RN...they were trying to make it sound as gruesome as possible....remember....a sadistic intruder had "kidnapped" her. They thought of the worst thing imaginable....and put it into their RN.

Your imaginary intruder.....how did he...
1. Gain access into the house?
2. If you say, he crawled though a window, did he go back out the same window?
3. Or...did he use the door?
4. How did he know that the alarm would be off?
5. How did he know that they didn't have any pets in the house that would attack him?
6. If he went back out the window....for which he came....why did he replace that heavy grate back?
7. Why would he wipe the flashlight and BATTERIES...clean, and leave it on the counter, when taking it with him, would have been so much easier, and taken way less time...and he could have actually used it to see ...to get around that dark house...and to use when he fled into the dark of the night??
8. Why were there no tracks?
9. Why is there no evidence of an intruder....and don't give me that line about DNA being found on her panties....it was DEGRADED...which means...OLD....which means, that someone, before the package was opened handled it....which means....a factory worker. The DNA doesn't belong to the intruder.
10. Why were Patsy's fibers found entwined in the garotte, on the tape that was on JB's mouth, AND in the paint tray?
11. Why was John's shirt fibers found on her crotch area?
12. HOW did the intruder know where to find the panties?
13. The flashlight was kept in a drawer....in that big ole house....how did he know which drawer it was in? Was he psychic?
14. Why would he take the time to replace her panties...and re-dress her? Why not just leave her naked on the floor?
15. Why would he wrap her...in John's words...in "a loving way" ..."like a papoose"?
16. Why would he wipe her down?
17. Why would he tie her wrists 15 inches apart?
18. Why would he RISK doing all of this....writing the note, taking her from her bed, hitting her on the head, sexually assaulting her, tying her wrists, garotting her, wiping down not only the flashlight, but the batteries.....with the family sleeping just FEET away?
19. Why wasn't he afraid that they would wake up...and that he would be caught?
20. Why did he make himself "at home"?
21. How did he know that the Ramsey's would be home that night?
22. Why did he replace the notepad, and pen....and put the cap back on the pen...and place it back in its holder?
23. Why would he sit down and write a two and a half page RN...and then not do anything that he threatened to do....including the whole kidnapping part?
24. If the RN was written first, and then she was killed...why didn't he take the RN with him, instead of spreading it out on the stairs? Leaving it behind, just meant that he was leaving behind more evidence than necessary.
25. Why was the tape not sticky at all? Like it had been used on something else, before being placed over her mouth.

I have many more questions...but, my daughter needs to use the internet...so these will have to do for now. HAVE FUN!!

Or the conditions you already set up in an earlier post:

IMO the actual perps handwriting is going to be a dead ringer, because in the last section of the RN, the handwriting is smooth and more relaxed. It isn't disguised at all.

( http://www.websleuths.com/forums/showthread.php? p=1570190#post1570190 )

I think it makes absolutely perfect sense that Patsy might have paid careful attention to the RN "staging" -- i.e. handwriting, spelling -- in the beginning of the note, and then relaxed enough by the end that her own writing and manner of speaking slipped in.

She'd have been far better served with the standard "We have your daughter. 10 Million. Don't call the cops." Hard to source handwriting OR writing style from that.

The only one going "overboard" here is Patsy, in writing this manifesto that she thought would sound like a kidnapper but sounds like a bunch of baloney right from the first line instead.

Don't you see all these things that have to happen just so, in the RDI scenario?Thats ridiculous.

Don't you see all these things that have to happen just so, in the IDI scenario? That's ridiculous.

Both theories are ridiculous, because at its heart, the sexual assault and murder of JBR (as well as the ensuing media/LE/legal circus) is so alien and unlike anything that's happened before or since. In and of itself, the whole case is ridiculous. If the truth were ever known -- incontrovertible evidence for either IDI or RDI -- the truth would even seem ridiculous.

No matter which side you're on, you have to imagine a bizarre and almost impossible series of events. The IDI scenario makes no damn sense, and frankly I don't think RDI makes much "sense" either -- but it's the one supported by not only the evidence, but by everything I know about human nature. Kidnappers/murderers simply do not spend hours in a strange house, feeding the victim pineapple and writing 3-page ransom notes for a dead body.

RDI is convoluted and ridiculous? Maybe so, but there's more than a touch of "the pot calling the kettle black" there.

right on,and you can dumb down...but you can't dumb UP...the author of this story can't have it both ways.OOPS.
