If Karr was innocent....

If the Rs are guilty, and I certainly lean that way, they were very quick to toss their own friends under the bus, as the saying goes. If they have no compunction about fingering their own friends, I doubt that JR would give a rats a$$ about saving Karr or anyone else's butt...

imho
I totally agree with you, and I think it is so sad. They pointed the finger at every friend they had and even their own housekeeper. These were people that were around them all the time daily for years. JMO

You know if John Ramsey was involved, there is no way he is going to come clean - even after his wife's death. If he's involved, most of the last ten years of his life has been devoted to a cover-up of the highest order. I think he'll ride that wave to the grave.
there would be noone coming forward who did this if they thot Karr would take the rap-I dont believe the ramseys are involved at all..not even in covering it up..but if another intruder was - he would not come forward unless like BTK he resented that person getting attention he wanted.
I hunch that JBR's killer is in jail but for other crimes. Or dead=santa.
BTK came forward when that author started taking his spotlight away by writing the book.

this is exactly what I mean when i say the ramseys cant win..of course they pointed the finger at any remote possibility-any parent of a murdered child would-in fact they would be asked to.
They went thru the same process everyone here did -instead of eliminating the ramseys many decided it was them-we are no better when pointing a finger than them-they are the parents and had to consider everyone..I would have done the same.

If the ramseys breathed loudly that would mean they are guilty to so many-they cant win-no matter what they did or did not do everyone wanted the opposite..and that wont change-everything they do is seen as evil by those who think they did it-and to those of us who dont think they did, it seems perfectly logical.
no disrespect intended here.

Not true new, if they had cooperated with LE as John Walsh and Marc Klass did and had been cleared, we wouldn't be having this conversation. Their actions were those of a guilty party ala Scott Peterson, trying to flee the state immediatedly after their daughter's body was found! Also there is fiber evidence- John's black shirt fibers were found on JB's genitals, Patsy was not excluded as the writer of the note, and the spider web on the window was unbroken, which means no intruder came or left via that window! These are the most powerful points for me, not to mention that both Ramsey's corrupted the fiber evidence instead of leaving the body alone.

Bravo LinasK. The Ramseys' behavior and attitude cannot possibly be considered reasonable at any time. Scott Peterson had precisely the same reptilian detachment, and he didn't scream out to take a polygraph test to prove his innocence, either.

When the Ramseys finally took polygraphs, some four or five YEARS after the crime, skeptics rightly questioned whether they had been doped up with prince valium and/or been taught bio-feedback techniques to control their autonomic nervous system responses to p/g questions.

There is nothing homespun or roly poly about the Ramseys. They consistently appeared weird, arrogant and obstructive during the investigation, yet by some miracle - or was it power and influence - they were never held in custody.

It is hard not to be cynical when the likes of OJ, Michael Jackson (no, he's not a killer, or even a suspected killer) and the Ramseys can mysteriously beat the odds, and people without massive financial backing in equally questionable situations go down.

The Ramseys can't win? I respectfully beg to differ... I think the Ramseys DID win.

mystery novel - a guy we'll call, oh, I don't know, maybe Kohn Jarr, knowingly confesses to a crime he didn't commit to a, um, ummm, I know! a Professor, whose name is Trike Macey so that the Professor can turn him in, knowing he was innocent and then they'd write a book together and have a nice little deal going for them after the media blitz cools down - but wait! Unbeknownst to Jarr, the dna evidence appears to match and he may well be the killer! Or perhaps, someone even more cunning has switched the evidence! But who could it have been? The old delusional cop who had a case once where some old guy was stungunned and he sees stungun marks everywhere...or the DA who thinks you can actually tell the innocence or guilt of people by their body language (ask Steve Thomas) or is the professor, who throws back a few and then corresponds with fruitcakes he characterizes as "short a few apples a full picnic"? Or could it be the private dick and his faithful sidekick whose motto is "We don't need to check'em, we just turn'em in". and their slogan printed on their business cards, "it's a lot easier than you think, when you don't care."

A few more chapters and you have yourself a treatment!

I agree - even if it was an intruder (a theory I have a hard time subscribing to) - THAT person's not going to say a word!

I agree with you - don't believe the Ramseys are involved, and believe it was an intruder. I'm leaning toward believing that the intruder is now dead, and that the crime will never be solved.

How very sweet of you Dark Knight, to think that people have a conscience and they will tell the truth in the end. John Ramsey will be another that will take this secret to the grave, sorry to say. We can't see how people can live with themselves but some can, very sad.

Their conscience would have been "seared with a hot iron" long, long ago. Sociopaths don't even seem to have any conscience. That's a symptom.

Good to see you, DarkKnight who's not dark at all! Thanks for your posts.

This killer is desperate enough to suicide Helgoth, for maybe knowing too much, and doing all that staging at that scene and at the Rs'. Karr claims he's going to be killed, too. Very possibly. Crazy like a fox.
