Six people, Victory Banks (33), Will Brown (21), Aldonte Goodman (22), Anthony Hampton (24), Dalvin Johnson (31), and Armon Williams (18) have been charged with theft, burglary, and criminal damage following a robbery at the Rolex Boutique on Chicago’s Magnificent Mile, where they allegedly smashed exterior glass and display cases with a hammer and stole five watches worth $170,500. At the same time, employees and shoppers hid in a security room. The group led police on a high-speed chase down Lake Shore Drive and the Dan Ryan Expressway, tracked by a CPD helicopter, before crashing their vehicle and being apprehended on foot. No one was injured, and Chicago police recovered four of the five stolen watches.

In the middle of a weekday afternoon!

The robbery happened Friday afternoon around 2:30 p.m. when a group of four men wearing ski masks and carrying axes smashed the front windows of the Rolex boutique, 701 N. Michigan Ave., according to Chicago police. They took watches and fled on foot before getting into a red Nissan SUV and speediing off. Police scanner audio said shots were fired at police.

that's strange that they did not find one of the watches
maybe one of the suspects threw it out the window during the chase because it had his DNA on it?
or could someone have stolen it at the scene ...
