CA - Jia Jia, 41, and daughter, 8, stabbed to death, Rancho Cucamonga, 7 Mar 2021 *Arrest*

It looks like they there is finally some movement in this case.

Case Summary:
44 and 8-year old victims were stabbed to death by an intruder in their home on March 7th, 2021.
A suspect was arrested in connection to the murders on April 13th, 2021. Almost five years after the crime, the case finally seems to be gearing up for trial. His next appearance is set for 4/30/2026.

I have found only two articles regarding the defendant's appearance in court on 1/28/2026. Unfortunately, they're both behind a pay wall. The articles contained some interesting details I never knew about. I'll post more details as they are reported.

This case really gets to me. It happened a few blocks from where I was living at the time. More importantly, this was a savage attack on three victims, one of them only 8-years old. I try not to think about some of the details. They are truly heartbreaking.

Thank you! I was able to find an article not behind a paywall that includes a lot of new information. It’s horrendous what this individual did. Thankfully they are seeking the death penalty!

Wright, 24, has pleaded not guilty to all charges.

District Attorney Jason Anderson said he plans to seek the death penalty if Wright is convicted as charged.

“You have a double murder and an attempted murder in the sanctity of their own home, and the manner in which death was inflicted, that was the child’s worst nightmare,” in the bed of a parent, Anderson said in an interview.
