Mother says he got out of a car she was driving in Crystal Lake il near Nish rd. and Highview rd. at 11:30 pm. He was wearing beige shorts, blue shirt and no shoes. He was not wearing his glasses. He walked into a brushy area.

The temperature was 53 overnight low chilly for shorts and no shoes. He wasn’t wearing his glasses in the dark, curious how well he could see without them. Where was Mom taking him at the 11:30 at night not properly dressed and without his glasses and no shoes.

Aidan Beckford, 18, was last seen around 10 p.m. Friday in the area of Nish Road and Highview Road in McHenry County.

His mother said he was riding in a car when he bailed out in a wooded area. The teen left his cellphone at home.

Beckford is 5-feet 8 inches tall and 160 lbs with brown hair and eyes. He was barefoot, wearing beige shorts and blue shirt when he was last seen.

His mother said he has been depressed lately.

Beckford’s father passed away three years ago and the area in Highview Estates where Beckford went missing is the last place their family lived, his step mother said, adding that the man is not in a good mental state.

It was stated he fled a vehicle driven by his step mother at approximately 11:00 pm on foot, without his wallet, cell phone, glasses, shoes, or a jacket. Does anyone know where they were going at this time in what sounds spontaneous?

Search for missing Huntley teen continues along Fox River in McHenry County

The family asks that anyone willing to help search for him wear protective clothing. The areas will be heavily wooded and with thick brush. Maps will be provided to the locations that have not yet been searched. The search will continue for as long as there is daylight and people are willing to help, the family said.

They ask that people continue to check security cameras from the time of about 9:30 p.m. Aug. 30 to the present day. The family also asks that people search their own private properties including places where a person might seek shelter such as a tree house, shed, porch areas and toy houses.

Found deceased

The body of the 18-year-old Huntley man was found Saturday afternoon.

LE and firemen were called to Nish Road and Highview Drive about 1:30 p.m. and found the body of Aidan M. Beckford, according to a news release from the McHenry County coroner's office. This area was searched previously on Wednesday.

An autopsy is scheduled for Monday morning.
