I wonder if she was taking suboxin and Adderal at that time? I believe she was pregnant already.

I think the Adderal might have been for a child.
LE is used to addicts reporting Rx stolen. In the good old days people could go to their pharmacist, claiming they lost their Rx & get a refill. Not so simple these days.

Hence the home haircuts? Avoid questions?
The photos @osu found present AJ as healthy, happy & clean. I’m led to believe she was on the road to recovery, only to have a major relapse, combining her drug of choice with what ever she could get, using Subs if no drug available, fluctuating between euphoria & WD, eventually going completely haywire. We will never know why her abuse was directed at AJ, imo.
@Whiteorchids my image is one from your link, I tried to get a close up, to see if I was actually seeing correctly. Awful

Yes, I believe that’s JC in the black dress.
Just cannot believe the difference to what she looks like now... A before drugs and an after drugs, frightening...

Notice AJ changes right along with her. I wonder if she was medicating him?
I also wonder what it was about AJ that annoyed her so.

I do too!!! Parents of adult druggies are just worn out from years of stress, worrying, the lies, and financially cost. The grandmother has raised one child and we don't know her physical condition, this kinda stuff takes its toll. I am sure she is devastated and combined with blame for not taking the other children. I pray for her.

I have several friends that have custody of their grandkids. These folks worked hard all their life, were outstanding citizens, had great retirement financial accounts and plans for a happy secure retirement.
They look 10 years older than their age, can't go anywhere, have become reclusive, stressed, many are dealing with cancer and are spend out of money. Some have taken on part time jobs in their 70s.
I would like this 1,000 times if I could! So very true. I personally know 2 sets of grandparents raising their grandchild because of the parents drugs, jail, etc issues.

It's so sad to see because they love their own child, but they have been beaten down by all the crazy and chaotic behavior that the addict brings to the family.

It's the little children I feel sorriest for. The ones I've talked to think it's something they've done to cause Mommy or Daddy to be in jail or in rehab or whatever. It's absolutely heartbreaking how these little guys suffer and the families too. :(

Those cravings took a toll on her.
Her central nervous system was no longer her own.......
She needed to be in a long term in patient rehab facility, IMO.

Our local news did a week long series on grands raising grands due to incarcerated or dead parents. It is becoming very prevalent.

Thanks Trudie. I think he was beat over the head numerous times.

Do you think she cut his hair to get a better view of his skull? To see what had happened in the 03-04 beating, if the beating actually occurred?

I did read TBI can distort the skull. I could not finish the article, too disturbing. I googled “craniocerebral trauma” .
