I heard the person of interest being referred to as a man in all the articles. Even though LE has been tight lipped I am so glad to see they progressed into a person of interest and possible arrest of murder. I think it might be a student as well that had a thing for her. About her clothing, the press conference stated while answering questions that her belongings matched what she was last seen wearing. Which I believe is the clothes.
Let keep the family in our thoughts, I can't imagine the ordeal they must be going through. Even with an arrest of the person that did this heinous crime to their loved one doesn't bring her back.

I wouldn't be surprised if the POI made a full confession already. I agree with several posters here who think that he is another student who totally panicked after his deed. I have not found any reference that he actually 'called' in the fire to the police. That would be even more stupid. To call the police and leave his name and number. More likely is that he mentioned it while being questioned by the police? JMO.

the state's attorney announcing homicide charges. Seven counts, William Curl is the suspect....Five are first-degree murder charges.... range of charges of up to 60 years. Some potentially qualify Curl for death penalty

Also charged with arson and criminal sexual assault....Curl in DeKalb County Jail....was extredited from Louisiana.

Investigation has resulted in the charges filed
