So I have found a list of vehicles towed in Chicago during that time period that had Ohio plates. Any suggestions on how to find out who’s plates these are?

That’s great! I’m not sure how to get the owners names but you can get the VIN number for each vehicle by checking the plate numbers on a site like this: https://www.vehiclehistory.com/license-plate-search.php
Searching the VIN numbers might get you names or at least you can find out where in Ohio they were registered and narrow down which ones are of interest. Car Fax is expensive though.

I found an IG account for someone with the screen name rubber city boy and his main name is Xingyuohio. It’s a request to follow account.

Was this ever looked into farther? Or can it be?

i know, I have said and heard both ways. of and for.

It’s only odd because most tattoos like this say Forgive me for instead of forgive me of.

people say "I could of looked for..." when it is grammatically incorrect. It should, of course, be "I could have looked for..." ( I could go on an on, I love grammar.)

Or the way "for all intents and purposes" becomes "for all intensive purposes"...

Tattoo artists do not have to be fluent in grammar rules, unfortunately... And I would not get too bogged down in the incorrect phrasing IMO.

So awesome that so many folks are working on IDing this guy. Gives me hope, which has so frequently waned of late...

Yes, I messaged him and requested a follow and he denied the request to follow so clearly whoever owns the account is alive and denying follow request.

Weird. Well anyhow I’m glad they’re alive, but I was for sure that was his account. So coincidental.

Agreed. There have been so many different things driving me crazy with this case. Areas where my heart starts racing cause I feel like I’m right there and then total let down. I found a letter that goes out to motorcycle clubs. In it the guy was thanking members of Christ’s Disciples for a donation. I have not been able to find anything on them yet. So I was going back trying to find motorcycle events close to the navy pier and literally have just been running down thing after thing with little success.

There is a big Toys for Tots motorcycle parade in Chicago every year. It begins on the South side 83rd and Western and ends at Addison & Western. There are literally thousands upon thousands of bikers who attend.

Here is there website.

Not sure if you are referring to a several month's long event or a specific event during that period. Here is a specific event during that period.

A lot of times you will see advertised "Poker Runs" around the Chicago land area.

I’m really lost in these motorcycle clubs. I found Christ’s Diciples, based in Kelso, WA, Deciples for Christ out of Kileen, TX, Diciple Christian Motorcycle Club and other similarly named groups... with all of them I’m just stuck on a cultural and styalistic difference from the Doe’s tattoos. To me his tattoos have a hip hop flavor and these motorcycle groups look like they generally have less tattoos overall and they are more American traditional or Japanese and even with other styles the subject matter looks like traditional tattoo themes.

I’ve been trying to look into the Christ’s disciples too, but all I can find is a church in Chicago under the same name and it’s a Baptist Church and the motorcycle groups already mentioned. I’m not really convinced that his tattoos are actually religious (MOO) so I haven’t really looked into that side of it.

I was looking at the post mortem pictures and on the picture of the cross tattoo there is a band around the wrist. I’m wondering if that was were a watch was or if it’s an anomaly of decomposition. There wasn’t a watch listed with the personal items so I’m just curious.

*forgot to spell check that. Second generation agnostic here so I usually bow out of a thread when religion comes up. Spelling words like “disciple” is obviously something I’m terrible at :slap:

I asked the same thing. My friends that have done body recovery said it’s a watch.

Also I heard back from that tattoo group we were asked to message and he did not do the work. Similar but not his and he said a lot of people elect to not have their work shown.

Maybe its referring to a Church in Ohio?

Most likely has nothing to do with the church I posted, but along that thought line.

Wooster doesn't appear to be all that far from Akron and in the 330 area code...

JMO, but I don't think his "Christ's Disciple" tat is a reference to any specific group. Most of the gangs, organizations and various churches use the term "Disciples of Christ" (Plural) as a group identifier and would write/say "Disciple of Christ" (Singular) when referring to one person. But his tat is flipped around to say "Christ's Disciple"-- it is personalized and singular as if only referring to himself or one main person. IDK, maybe I'm being nit-picky on the grammar but the way it is phrased strikes me as being more of a tat he got for personal symbolism rather than a tat he got for a group identifier. It could be referring to himself or to the angel tat or could be a memorial in honor of someone he knew. JMO.
