Garnie Dell Rice, 36, was last seen heading toward Chicago Heights for work.

Rice was last seen meeting with two men in Ottawa, with plans to work in Chicago Heights for C&J Sealcoating, on Sunday Aug. 30. Rice has not been seen or heard from since then.

Rice is a white man, who is 5 feet 11 inches tall and weighs about 170 pounds. He has short receding brown hair, hazel eyes and a goatee. He also has a large tattoo on his upper left side chest that reads "Arianna" and "Brooklyn," in black ink, according to his family.

There has been no contact with the missing person since 08/23/2020.

He was last known to be working for C&J Sealcoating, which they deny knowing where he went. They are saying he walked off mad in Chicago Heights/Park Forest area. None of this makes any sense. Not much can be disclosed due to investigation, but SOMEONE KNOWS where he is!

Chicago Heights is known as a higher crime area. That said, I’m not sure from the described circumstances of disappearance that he ever made it that far.

Local news reports are now saying that Garnie was found in an abandoned house in the glen park neighborhood of gary indiana.
This revealing of location definitely gives us some insight.
When I had researched this case and the sealcoating company that garnie was involved with, multiple people were leaving reviews and comments on the c&j sealcoating fb page. Many of these comments were outing one individual in particular. Even though said individual frequents the lasalle county area, his recent court dockets list his address in lansing illinois. Lansing is very close to chicago heights (the place that garnie said he was going to for sealcoating jobs) and lansing is also close to gary indiana. If you check out the map, you will see it is only 20 min away.
