No Jersey Girl, they are searching for the body now... Supposedly the guy has told them where he put Jacob's body.

The post said "they found the missing guy in Exwards County", so I assumed maybe Jake's body. So them saying they got the perp in Edward's County and also say "missing guy" as pertaining to him, they must have had their eyes in him!

Wonder if he's the guy that had blood on him that wanted to use that guys phone at 3:00am... I mean, maybe cops got the phone records, saw the number that guy called, found out who he was from that, then found him today...

I can't help but see the irony (not humor) of someone surviving what he went through in Iraq just to come home and be murdered on a fishing trip. Sometimes reality sucks.

My heart is just broken for these families. What did Jessi and Jake go through? I just can't bear to think about it.

I'm hoping their deaths were quick and painless. I can't even begin to imagine the kind of terror one would feel knowing they were about to die. Such attractive young kids with their whole lives ahead of them, I really hope they didn't suffer.

RIP Jessica and Jacob, may you be in a much better place together. My prayers are with your friends and family.

And may the sick SOB who did this get everything that's coming to him.

There was another solider from Southern Illinois who was killed in a car accident on his way home from Iraq (like driving to his parents' home).


Come to think of it, General Patton died in a car accident after the war.

If they live out in the country, they probably don't have direct next door neighbors.
The "neighbor" thing hasn't been confirmed yet. Neither has him being in Edwards County. Just want to make that clear.

I want to add one thing about all this talk about Jake maybe having a gun from his parent's home... and we still don't know if Jake has/had the gun.
Simp has one in her purse AT ALL TIMES... I'm sure there are plenty of people that don't agree with that but, it's my right. I have a license to carry it ... so if anything happens to Simp or her family,,, don't be asking about my gun.

I don't know how to feel about this... I've not been able to get this case off my mind since I first heard about it, and I'm glad that Jake may actually be innocent, but this now means that two young lives were lost, and that's just not something I can feel happy about. So senseless.

I don't know why, but I was holding out hope that he'd be found alive and innocent, no matter how unlikely.
