14wfie is reporting that they have found Jacobs body.

BREAKING NEWS UPDATE: According to the White Co. Sheriff's Office, An arrest was made in relations to the Jessica M. Evans and Jacob C. Wheeler missing persons case. Danny K. Coston (DOB: 11-21-1975) was arrested and his currently being held on a three million dollar bail for two counts of 1st dregree murder.
The body of Jacob C. Wheeler has been located at this time.
More information will be released in the morning.

Tonight, authorities located the body of Wheeler, reportedly in a field in Edwards County, located to the north of White, and several miles from the campsite.
This is the only thing we didnt already know. It takes forever to open that link.

I do not for one minute believe it was a random meeting....I hope there aren't more than these 2 kids he has hurt. I don't think anyone says, let's truck around, mow someone over, shoot them,and it is just random.... :moo:

Maybe I'm over analyzing, but it could be a random meeting in that he didn't know them personally but had at least seen them in the area, or just a "wrong place wrong time" scenario, or met in passing right before their trip (possible altercation?) and happened across them (they were neighbors, but neighbors in rural areas vs suburban/urban are completely different in the sense that knowing/seeing your neighbors is more likely in suburban/urban areas than in rural areas - I've lived in both). Basically, there's more to the story than we know right now. MOO

BREAKING UPDATE: 14 News crew in White County just spoke with Sheriff Doug Maier. Maier says the body of 22-year-old Jacob Wheeler was found Friday night in Wayne County, IL. The sheriff says it's believed Wheeler has been dead for six days. An autopsy is scheduled for tomorrow. More soon on 14news.com.

Such a sad turn of events for all three families involved. I find myself searching for answers as fast as they get posted, but really there are none, kwim? random flashes of anger or righteousness between strangers can be explosive, a grudge held against one or the other of the victims carried like a torch, or a smoldering fire in one man's heart for who knows how long or why. tonight I'll say a prayer for understanding.

Something that happened between DC and Jacob's father? Jacob's father must be beside himself finding that he knows his son's killer. That is heart wrenching. My thoughts are with Jacob's father, I hope that no matter the motive that he knows this is not his fault.

I hope they release a motive soon. Another thing I would like to know is did Jake take the gun with him camping or did this guy steal it from their home? How horrible if they find out that it was their gun that killed these kids.

Wow I'm just jaw dropping shocked and speechless.. I had quickly popped in earlier this evening while still out with friends for dinner and drinks.. And just happened to pop in for a moment as we just got home.. Literally had to zoom, scroll back up and Back down several times before it actually sank n what I was reading.. That this man Is actually a neighbor tht lives couple houses down from Jake and his family, yet "claims", this was totally random and that he had no connection, nor even knowledge of who Jake and Jessica were....???... I'm sorry, wtf??.. How is that even remotely possible as being true?.. He lives on the same exact street as jake&fam, mere houses separating the two properties from one another..

Yet that's not where the victims were even at at the time of their murder.. They were in a completely different area and county, in a pretty much remote area with no main draw of landmark or attraction which brings heavy or even regular traffic back through this area where the couple was fishing/camping..

Yet of all the people, in all of the places, out of all of the times it just so happened to be that Jakes "neighbor", Danny Coston with zero intent, nor planning, or even knowledge that the couple were at this remote locale.. He just "happens", upon them and literally brutally slaughtered them???... Again wtf?

I'm not buying that version for even a millisecond.. Sorry, nope, not gonna wash imo.. There is much more to this man's agenda, motive, or intent than what he's supposedly claiming..

What probably made it most shocking for me was clicking on the little league photo with him as the coach in the photo.. He looks as normal and as average as most career holding 36 year old men, who are fathers and coaches to their sons little league teams.. It's spine tingling terrifying in realizing the literal monster that was hidden out of sight behind the mask of an attractive, thirty-something year old dad who appeared to be involved in his sons life.. My gut is just twisted into a knot at this moment and I just desperately want to know WHY?.????..

The tiny sliver I am atleast "happy", or better worded, relieved to see that atleast we now have Jakes name and character cleared and the truth fully exposed of who is the evil in this sad, sad happenstance, and exactly who are the two victims whose young lives stolen from them in literally the blink of an eye.. After midnight alive and well and loving and living life together and before the break of dawn ever was even able to peer its first mornings ray of blessed sunshine.. These two young lives filled with so much promise, so very much more life yet to live, they were gone....

RIP Jessi/Jake you will never be forgotten and your loved ones will ensure that justice is served on each of your behalf..

May God grant these families, loved ones, and friends the small solace in closure, and the strength to see this tragedy through to its very bittersweet end of seeking justice for these two.. My prayers will continue for the weeks and months to follow..

I have a couple of neighbors on my street that I dont know who they are. But yeah he claims he knew Jakes dad but not the kids. Possible. But ending up in that same remote spot is weird. Maybe he had something against the dad and when he found out who Jake is went ballistic. Their is more to this story.
It was a random event that turn disastrous LE said. So what set this man off? I cant wait to hear the motive.

If you google his addy, it states there's a business there called Country Site Kennels. I wonder if this is his or prior to his moving there?
