John M. Kurtis, 57, was reported missing by his friends. Kurtis is 5-foot 11-inches, 195 pounds, with brown hair and brown eyes, and wears glasses. Police were unable to provide a photo as of Thursday.

Thanks for following him and hoping for the best. Johns life is a hell of a story, one ill be telling to the day i die. He will not be forgotten. His life was taken for being too generous. The things he did for people, the amount of trust offered by him, was both foolish and astounding. And all to be stabbed in the back and thrown aside. Those responsible will be held accountable, as time goes on their names will be revealed.

John M. Kurtis, 57, who’s from Woodbridge but recently moved to Sterling, was reported missing on Dec. 30, and police found his body around 2:30 p.m. Saturday in a vacant apartment in a building in the 400 block of Fourth Avenue

Autopsy results are still pending following the death of Kurtis. Police say the circumstances surrounding his death are under investigation and no further information is being released at this time.
