Who could she be running from in the car?
Just about anyone I suppose. It certainly looked like in the video that she took off running as soon as the car lights appeared. Could be a coincidence, but seems unlikely.

Seems like she might have known who was chasing her?
That’s what I was thinking, someone she was meeting or must have known. She recognized the car it seemed.

Why run in the opposite direction of your home, where your 3 children are, unless you don't want to see someone at that home? If she was running from that car, I believe that she believed there was someone in that car who wanted to confront her in some way. She was scared and did not think running towards her home, not very far away, was an option.

ETA- here is a google map I re-created using the info from GH’s video- is this allowed ?

Red route is where a female was seen on surveillance cams. Green route is where the car went. JA's home and husband's workplace (Cinco) noted on map as well.

This is helpful since I am not from Clinton. If there are some locals with more insight to these locations it would be helpful. These are all google map observations but there are a few things I noticed.

She chose to go south instead of north on Illini drive even though the more lighted areas with business were north. Doesn’t look like much in that direction to the south that she’s running/walking to besides the hotel and a highway, and also a medical center of sorts. She could’ve turned on Manor Hill into a subdivision to loop back towards her house but kept walking south to a more deserted area towards the highway and hotel. I’m quite sure they would’ve checked everything at the hotel, but if there was a meet up of sorts that night, one would think a hotel is a plausible spot. Maybe she was trying to get back to that person she originally met with for help. Either way it seems clear she didn’t want to go towards home.

The car in the first part of the video does go north on Illini Drive, and the restaurant is also just to the north there also. It’s very plausible if she was trying avoid the car and/or restaurant area, she would’ve also chose to run south instead.

You just would’ve thought with the 3-4 minute head start she would’ve found a way to elude or get help from whoever she was running from.

This was exactly my thoughts when people kept asking “why didn’t she just run home”. Apparently running home wasn’t an option, or maybe she was running from her home.

I totally follow the line of thinking to first look for POI’s closest to home, and I rarely am one to first jump to alternative theories, but at this point in the investigation, I’m leaning toward the same line of thinking to this @Tomas1312 :
The big time frame in question then becomes 10:28pm-1am. The two back to back phone calls from husband to her were at 11:07, and the surveillance footage of someone running near their house was around 11:15. Did husband leave after the 10:28 phone call to go looking for her?

One of my reasons for feeling this way is that her kids (or at least the one who was talking in the background of the interview on the GH video) seem old enough and aware enough to know if their dad was home or not during these times. The child who was talking to JA’s SIL during the GH interview seemed very open and honest, at least regarding the last times she saw and phoned her mom. Obviously it is very difficult (potentially impossible) to glean substantial info from the short time she was talking in the interview, but these are just my initial thoughts and impressions.

<modsnip: Quoted post was removed> Or perhaps the lady's husband was looking for her, not because of jealousy or anything, but because the lady may have been experiencing some kind of mental event or episode that was making her behave very strangely? jmo

If I were being chased by some maniac that I didn’t know I wouldn’t run to my house. I’d be showing him where I live and possibly expose my family to him. MOO.

That's where we differ. If a weirdo was chasing me, I'd run to my street and find a place to hide and call the police. I wouldn't run away from the safety of my home and loved ones...especially my husband who's my life partner and protector.

So, if you watch GHI's map of it, the car keeps making a right turn and driving in a loop. It keeps driving past her house. I'm not sure that's a safe place for her to go. I just don't understand why she didn't call the police if she had her phone and she was in trouble.

I'm currently watching GHI's video and the story is getting fishier and fishier. She tells the daughter at 9 that she's going to Cinco's (husband's workplace) but 20 or so minutes later, she doesn't take her husband's phone call so he calls home and then the daughter makes a call which does get answered. She tells her daughter she's taking a walk. An hour later the husband reaches her and she says she's at Snappers and will be on her way home. But someone dressed similarly to her was seen on camera next to the elementary school which is actually near Cinco afraid and holding a large bag. Nothing of this makes any sense.
Was it mentioned if the phone conversations with JA were phone or text? There have been cases where someone is victimized and the suspect answers texts from family. Not likely but possible IMO.

They seem to be all calls with phone records provided by the family. The timeline is here on page 2.

From the way the daughter described her conversation with her mom, it sounded like a phone conversation. Juana's husband said that when he talked to her she sounded normal and her voice didn't sound like she had been drinking, so that had to also be a phone conversation.

I believe this is her TikTok, and there’s a strange video, uploaded 4 days ago….

Oh my gosh. Chills.

Editing to add rough translation for those who need it. Correct me if I’m wrong! My Spanish is spotty.
Heart: you did it?
Brain: yes
Heart (sad): at what cost?
Brain (sad): I lost everything
