Well if this is the same brother who he almost killed in the 80s that is now standing behind him I'm interested in what he has to say.

I think it's faaar too early to bring Austin Sigg up as a comparison, if at all! Aren't we always warned here NOT to sleuthe family members unless LE has named them?

I'm bringing him up for this reason. They may try to play it off as a youthful indiscretion when in fact he was 17 at the time. Even though 17 year old's aren't technically adults they do know the difference between right and wrong and realize that their choices have consequences. This isn't some situation where an 8 year old gets mad at mom and starts a fire, this was far more serious.

This family is complicated...that's not Todd's original last name, nor did I think that was the name of the brother in the fire documents...blended family? Half brother? I'm confused... :waitasec:

Dayne (who wrote the post), was asked by Todd's brother (JR) to share that statement. Dayne is not the brother, he wrote on his behalf. Least that's what I gathered.

Glad to see they served a search warrant at the house. If hubby is innocent and they find nothing, it will only benefit him. I'm still not convinced he is involved, although it seems to be a logical assumption given the known facts so far.

him attempting to kill his family was on the 6o'clock news last night -- no one had to sleuth to gain this info.

if le is not involve then it really isnt a true presser is it? they said for people to come to the park to hear it and i imaging the news will be there but if le isnt present its just a family update. i think they should just keep to passing out flyers.. im still on the fence too

usually the cops wont make any comments about anything...but for them to reiterate their belief of the two being separated really sticks out, doesnt it? i am not sure that everyone is cooperating with le if they are going out and changing their story and publicly accusing le of being all wrong...

Is the reporter just restating what LE said early on about the separation?

If not, then I would feel confident that someone who is close to Katrina, knows a lot about the relationship between she and Todd. Are there animals to be cared for at the condo which necessitates someone being there?

Does the search warrant mean that he wasn't willing to let them search unless they had a warrant?

No, the warrant protects any potential evidence discovery for purposes of a trial. Don't want some sleezy attorney getting the forensic evidence tossed because there was no legal proof to collect it.

That info was in the news, but did they also discuss whether he murdered his wife and compared him to Austin Sigg? I doubt it. <modsnip>.

I brought him up to show that this fire wasn't just a mistake that a young kid made. I brought it up to show that at 17 we can tell that there are some very bad people out there.

A fire at 5 or 6 is one thing, but when the person is almost an adult it can't be excused.

this is just in the most recent article as of this morning...until yesterday when ts stated that le is wrong about their living arrangements there was no need to clarify the difference of opinion between ts and le... thats the only reason why i posted it.. could be reporting since there havent been any pressers. idk

Well it wasn't excused, was it? He went to court for it and a jury or judge sentenced him.

And has he set any other fires in the past 27 years? Not that we know of. So maybe it was juvenile mistake after all.

The jury and judge obviously failed. Who gives someone 30 months probation for multiple counts of attempted murder?

There is another more recent crime that we haven't really talked about but I'm sure that news will break with the MSM and we will be able to talk about it.

Not necessarily. They would get one anyway at this point, to protect anything they might find.

Yes. It also means that they had to present a reason(s) to the judge why they have probable cause to search the residence.

Yes, I would like to know where the puppy is and who is caring for the sweet thing. BTW, her puppy is a blue heeler/cattle dog like mine in my avatar! A smart, loyal, and energetic companion.

As for the husband TS and his actions at the age of 17 attempting to burn the house down with his family in it, that shows some real serious issues. I am having a hard time getting past that when his wife is now missing. From the documents I read it said after he did it he left. I think his true intent was to kill them not scare them. I wonder if his mother and father will attend the press conference to stand by him through this.

Exactly and it's not even like starting a fire and walking away, in that way the fire would progress and it would be easier for people to get out. He did it in a way that all of a sudden the house would blow up. A mentally challenged kid who had just started on hard drugs burned down my apartment building a number of years ago. IMO arson isn't simply arson if people are inside and it's an attempt on someones life.

Scadder this was posted on the find Katrina FB page. The person who posted it said they reported it to LE. The only reason I even bring it up is because the car was also found behind the poster's brothers house where the scream was heard. It was posted on Saturday (along with many other posts, in the comments sections by an LK)

I guess IMO someone who can try to blow up a house, and if I understand correctly, with people in it? is capable of something much more sinister. This is just my own opinion, but if I knew a man had done something like that, even if he was a kid, I am not so sure I would be comfortable marrying someone who is capable of that, KWIM? And I am IN NO WAY blaming Katrina for marrying him! That was just my OWN opinion.
