I was afraid I was the only one that had
analyzed the videos so much that I can practically do them -- a very scary notion at times the last two weeks !!

There was one really good translator one -- that captured (not that engineer stuff!) that captured a lot missed on a lot of the others.

It was cause, it appeared that poster had really good speakers and was not using a degraded copy!!

Is it common in everyday life for folks to film off another cell phone -- those clips are maddening - the shining of the phone and the tiny cell itself .

And the audio on all those on YT is the pitts.

I can't even go there with the videos that tape off of other phones or devices. Drives me nuts. In some instances, to save a video that might be deleted, fine, video it, but do it without jogging the phone all over the place. The videos of the floor as folks walk around somewhere drives me nuts too. Irene's video has been interesting to me because it is the only video where, it's possible that we hear an intoxicated KJ. Folks don't tend to sober up and get bouncier into the night. If your soused when the night begins then your usually going to go further downhill as the night progresses.

I must have missed something. I thought she was found in the kitchen area that she was seen in, on video, but there was no video camera trained on the freezer, so we saw only the part of her walking out of sight, toward the freezer. If that's not the case then there should be video of her walking through another door, into another kitchen, at the very least. I find it hard to believe that she wandered through two kitchens that night. Confused and wandering through one? Yes. But accidentally wandering through two restaurant kitchens? Idk.

In the meeting area it is all one HUGE connected kitchen. If you picture all the meeting rooms side by side and visualize that behind the whole row of meeting rooms is one big long kitchen.

But they are all connected into one but are def individual for each meeting room if that makes sense.

Its kinda like if you take your kitchen and make 6 of them and put them side by side but connected that it how it is .

But you can tell they are seperate in a way in that each area has its own sinks prep areas banks of coolers etc etc.

Obviously the kitchen related to the room that accommodates 2000 is bigger than the smaller meeting room next to it.

In terms of servicing each room tho it is logical that they all are connected behind the scenes.

You dont want to see dozens of servers
pushing stuff around. Its like the main stage and behind the scenes are the wings make up rooms etc etc -- all connected but one huge space.

I feel like I am having a hard time explaining the videos of the kitchens I have seen in the place!!

They all had the same ugly tile!!

I've never been in this Crowne Plaza, but I have been a guest in another Crowne Plaza Conference center hotel during a tornado warning in which we had to shelter in the basement. We stayed in a hallway where usually only staff are allowed and periodically checked an emergency exit to see if the tornado sirens had stopped. There were most definitely loading docks off the basement exit of that hotel. The driveway upto the loading docks went down into the ground to access the basement level. I'm not saying it's like that in Rosemont, but someone needs to actually go to the Crown Plaza in Rosemont to settle this, IMO.

I am so glad that you posted this. I have been wanting to say the same thing about Basement level loading docks.

In high school, my son worked in the warehouse of BestBUy, loading/unloading freight. The trucks drove down a ramp to get to the loading dock which was at the basement level.

If you wanted to get to the warehouse in the store, you took the elevator to the LL.

I can understand that. That's why I think that she was found in the Metro Place's kitchen area, if she was found on the Lobby Level area. I think the Metro Place is more likely to be the place that Caddyshack will be located. Those Ballrooms will need those giant kitchen areas to continue to service the conferences. The video of the G-Fest Conference was actually on all three floors of the hotel. The Ballroom level, the Conference Level, and the Lower Level. The videos of the guys at G-fest were really interesting. All levels are really nice. I'd thought the Lower Level would be just kind of a basement type area for storage but it's a very nice area for conference space. I think she left the room, got on the elevators to go to her car, and pushed the wrong buttons and got all turned around trying to find the Exit.

Yeah I don't put a lot of credence into what the mother says regarding the drinking "knowledge" of her 19 year old daughter. She is an underage drinker, she is leaving the house at 11;30 pm to go to a birthday party for her friend at a hotel 45 minutes away (reportedly that far). A hotel room paid for with identify theft. (whether she knows that or not is irrelvevant). With drug being smoked and taken and drinking. Hard to assess based on the circumstances she found her self in. Did she go in a report to her mother oh I was out drinking or I was out with friends who were drinking but I don't to any of that because I can't handle it. Really, that statement is not worth a sheet of paper it could be written on.

AND she told her Mom she was going bowling. No mention to Mom of the hotel party with older guys passing out shots of liquor and blunts.

So Mom is not a good source of realistic info, just as most Moms are not.

Keneeka was also celebrating her graduation from a charter school. It was a school for dropouts who were given one last chance to get an education and training for a decent job. It was her ticket out of the ghetto. She lived in a super bad neighborhood. She end up getting a job as a nursing aide in a nursing home. If she was going to drink or get high at that party, then she should have never went. What if the police pulled her over in her mom's car on the way home and got a DUI? They might not give her that job. Healthcare workers are scrutinized and DUI's are frowned upon. Healthcare workers also get randomly drug tested and some drugs are detectable in the body for a long time. A positive drug test would get her fired. It would be hard to stay clean and sober at a party like that. I have to question her decision to attend that gathering if she knew she would be drinking or doing drugs.

I've got inlaws in Chicago and I tried to get more info from them, but we honestly know more than they did! I was going to see if I could get them interested enough to go to the hotel but, it just wasn't happening.:notgood:

Yes, I have seen that often in commercial buildings and businesses. Basement level in a commercial building does not mean that it is completely underground with no street level entrances. There can be one side where you walk in at street level and the other side is under ground. Or street level on one side can be one story above the street level on the other side, due to a hill. That entrance just happens to be over near the site circled in red where previous posters said the new restaurant is going. You can walk through part of the hotel and see different levels of sitting areas up 3-4 stairs and several stairs going down with an escalator and sign directing to the conference level downstairs. However you can't go down the stairs in the google earth walk-through to see what that level looks like and there are no walk-through dots in the soon-to-be restaurant area or the kitchen where KJ was seen walking. So it's not entirely clear, IMO, what the layout is like.

I think she and Mom were more like besties than Mom and daughter. I wasn't a helicopter parent but I didn't fool myself into thinking that mine were angels. At 11:30 was the time mine had to start thinking about coming home, not going out. Everyone raises theirs different but Chicago after midnight is not especially safe to begin with.

I have a question about the picture posted earlier. What's inside the building with the red circle around it? Is it vacant? A current conference room or ballroom? Storage space for the kitchens? I can see a red canopy on the side of it and a brick wall, but not much else.

Nineteen year olds do not think in those terms. They think friends, party, what's the harm? I won't get caught. If she went to a party at midnight she wasn't going in to work the next day. Drinking is legal as long as she didn't drink and drive or drink at work. She got the job so she likely passed a drug screen.

I seen that before when I was doing a walk around outside the hotel with the Google arrow thingy. Crowne Plaza uses the same dumpsters in their kitchens. I seen the same kind of dumpster in a YouTube video that some lady made when she boldly walked in the basement kitchen and started filming. They probably have a bunch of them down there in the kitchen but I'm not sure where they dump them at and they probably have extra empty ones stored inside the dock area.

I am not sure if you should be concerned or not!!

The red canopy, at the end, is where you can enter to the Fire Pizza, the hotel, and the Visibility Bar. There is also a section, down from the Visibility Bar, and Pool, called the Metro Place. I think it was used as a conference space and it is U-shaped. They served food at the conferences that were in there but I am not sure if it had its own kitchen or not. It is past the escalator/stair area where you can go down to the Conference Level. I thought maybe she came back up from the Conference Level on the escalator and wandered into the Metro Place somehow (and it was the future Caddy Shack).

At the 2:33/34 point of Irene's video, she is toking away and asks someone off camera, "Did you put any enforce (?) in this?" Now, I've been around the block, more than once, but I've never heard of "enforce". It may mean nothing or it may mean that the pot was laced. Also, if you'll notice in the party vids most were drinking out of plastic cups. In the Irene vide, two of the girls had them with just a small amount in the cups (@4:53 & 5:17 of Irene video) That leads me toward them drinking something hard at the very least. I don't drink much hard stuff these days so I'm not up to snuff on the new stuff. I do know that Jager will have you staggering drunk. It doesn't look like Jager though. If it was PurpleDrank, it can be deadly if you drink it, along with alcohol, or take Ecstasy at the same time. Purple Drank can cause drowsiness, loss of balance, loss of coordination, slurred speech, etc... see link below.
