I thought it looked like water but I can't tell who ended up with or for what reason. I thought possibly b/c they were trying to sober up the female for whom it was intended. I didn't see KJ by the door. I thought she was standing not far from the bathroom, or is that the girl that had on a similar outfit. I honestly can't make much out of the videos other than trying to see if she was in there and trying to get a time reference. With the manager coming up there, I think they all got kicked out, later, and she got separated.

Also, please excuse me if I'm repeating things already discussed... for some reason on this thread in particular I'm having a hard time following some of these posts and/or not able to clearly comprehend posters messages thus not reading them all the way through. What I'm not understanding is why:
1. Everyone is assuming that they have the right to even see this footage that was released? This is not the norm. They don't HAVE to show us anything. I mean there are other people walking these halls at this hotel too-- footage that has others in the frames I'm sure. Where did everyone get the idea that this is PUBLIC info? (I'm speaking of everyone, on SM, discussion forums etc- not necessarily here)

2. What, if anything, do we know is hoped to be accomplished with these nightly protests?

3. Am I the only one who feels like bashing my head against a wall trying to follow this SM spectacle. I almost think it is disrespectful to a young woman who hasn't even been laid to rest yet. I feel sorry for her and her family.

4. Do you all feel like with all this commotion going on LE will ever be able to get to the bottom of this?

5. Has our world become so convoluted that we can't trust hotel cameras, detectives and eye witnesses to hope they are doing what they can?

Am I the only person who doesn't think there is some conspiracy? I'm at a loss.

IMO, nothing will be accomplished with these nightly protests besides even MORE bizarre theories, possibly something else happening to someone innocent (I've read so many death threats).

IMOO, I think TM attorneys didn't review any of the video surveillance yesterday at the hotel because they have it all and watched it all. I think KJ mom went to the public and media way too fast with the theory about the taps being tampered with and everything ESCALATED from there. The family and protesters are only adding fuel to the fire. They need to let LE and all other authorities, investigators ME do what they need to do to get to the bottom of her death.

I think some of this stems from the fact that that citizens in Rosemont feel like the police and city leaders have been corrupt for years. This "case" has some elements that can be twisted to look like it fits their story. If you really want to believe something, you find a way to make it true in your own head. One of the protesters said they are holding the protests so they can hurt Rosemont economically, until they get their "answers".

And you are absolutely right about LE and information sharing. They don't HAVE to tell us anything! So people need to stop DEMANDING to know every aspect of this incident.

Has the mom actually said she thinks the surveillance videos were tampered with? I thought she went to the press complaining about the treatment she received from LE and the hotel, and the conspiracy theorists ran with the story. I haven't heard her say she suspects editing of the videos, but I haven't watched all of her videos, either.

The cameras were motion sensitive. Shouldn't there have been a security company monitoring those screens? What if terrorists were planting bombs all over to go off at a future date? (Unlikely I know).
Guest safety is another reason why they are supposed to be monitored. Someone should have seen her all over the place on different feeds and either kept an eye on her, or gone to investigate when she never returned from her one way trip. I have a friend that monitored a hotel in Atlantic City. Boring job, but he couldn't perl his eyes away, and when the sensor engaged his screen flashed.

Casinos are a whole different animal than an airport hotel. They are watching folks who they are going to profit off of, and they want everything above board and for everyone to have fun and gamble, gamble , gamble. Comping a room is like me giving someone $10 bucks. They want no cheating, no foul play by their employees, and they are going to watch for opportunists. Anything that will cause their haul to go bad that night. People are gambling big bucks a lot of times and, Casinos spend millions of dollars on security because owners want everything to operate on the up and up.

People go to hotels for a variety of reasons, some for business conferences, some for discrete affairs, some just flying from state to state, some for partying, and most of the time if it's a late night party they don't want to be followed around by hotel staff.

There's only a skeleton crew on hotel night shifts, especially in cities, during the weekend. They can't go chasing every adult that comes through the lobby who is staggering around. They have bars in the hotel. That happens all the time. Every conference, in every state, that I've attended, there's been at least one person, usually more, who has over indulged at the evening festivities, or at the motel bar. Not one motel employee have I ever seen follow them around to ensure their safety. Her friends were with her, if anyone should have noticed she was out of her head, it should have been them, and at least one should have stayed with her, while the other two went to get the things from the room.

I could very well be wrong, but, I think an employee may have found her on a second search of that level. They didn't think to search the freezer the first time, and then the officer called it in. I'd not want my name leaked out either if it were me. In this case, you could get death threats for finding her. Irene has gotten them just for streaming out that video of herself.

"Never mix beer and wine, stick with liquor and you'll be fine." Something my cousin always used to say about mixing drinks. That's how she remembered when first started drinking lol.

And if KJ started drinking on an empty stomach, that would get her drunk faster...at least it did for me anyways.

my opinion regarding the protests is that the attorneys know that there are too many people with contributory actions to get a really large settlement from a jury at trial so you use what amounts to fiscal blackmail to try to force the hotel to offer a better settlement. Or simply put the squeaky wheel gets oiled. The louder the squeak the more oil.

I agree with you, no conspiracy here. Thanks for being a voice of reason. IMHO the protesters have nothing better to do. A second autopsy ... wait for the first one. Some people IMHO create drama where there isn't any. Dissing Rosemont, dissing the hotel some people who have never even been to Rosemont.

Rosemont is a busy place with fine restaurants, fine hotels, theatres, music/sports/etc arena. Many hard workers and fine citizens (and no I do not live in Rosemont) but have been there many times.

Conference centers have many shows and exhibits available to the public, with easy access, not having to go to more congested downtown Chicago. As it is close to O'Hare (not inside the airport) many travellers / exhibitors etc. Make part of their living/livelihood in Rosemont monthly or quarterly but on a regular basis in RM ie a fantastic jewelry show with international vendors, too. Incredible items at unbelievably lower prices as it cuts out the middleman. This will not tarnish Rosemont or Crowne Plaza.

I am sorry she is deceased, but imho, people, even young people die everyday for various reasons and not everything is sinister. Tragic, absolutely. I grieve with her family. But conspiracy and cover-up I believe not imho.

BTW there isn't anyone behind her in the videos. Some of the walls are mirrored.
