It puzzled me that Oz said the alcohol level wasn't high. I don't know anything about those levels, but isn't hers twice the legal limit?
It wasn't quite double the legal limit, which is 0.08 in IL I believe. Hers was 0.112. Nonetheless, sure her BAC wasn't sky-high, but it was high. I don't really get how he could claim that it wasn't, but he's a junk doctor IMO anyways. In this article from Notre Dame regarding BAC, they describe general effects at different BACs (a lot of different things cause it to vary of course). KJ's falls into this range:
0.100-0.129% Significant impairment of motor coordination and loss of good judgment. Speech may be slurred; balance, peripheral vision, reaction time, and hearing will be impaired.
And that's not even factoring in the topiramate.
