IL - Kenneka Jenkins, 19, found dead in hotel freezer, Rosemont, 10 Sept 2017 #2

Only one way to get there or only one entrance? Just wondering which one you mean.

The one side of lower elevators from what I seen on a YT video has 2 exit doors inside the elevator. 1 door looked to be where it may lead to laundry and kitchen area. On the video I watched the both doors opened at the same time when a person wants to get off the elevator and the videoer said, "that's creepy". Will try to find it and post.

Peace, make sure the video is from MSM (main stream media). I know which one you are talking about, it’s a couple young boys. But I think it may not be allowed here — you might want to check with a mod if it appears to be non-media. It can easily be found at YouTube (search for Crowne Plaza elevators, or something similar)

Ok but the 1 I viewed wasn't 2 boys just some guy getting in and going down to lower floor. Also viewed KJ's sister being interviewed by news media and she mentions double door elevator in the area going to a kitchen. FWIW

Actually, there are a lot of elevator videos, so your description is helpful. I don’t recall the sister saying anything about an elevator with double doors (she very well could have, so not disputing that!).... I may look for that. If not all the elevators were double doors (front and back), then I would wager at least one set was.

I do remember her saying they went through white double doors and then into the area where her sister was found. That place has a lot of “doors”!

I watched quite a bit of the “36 hour surveillance” and am surprised how little of KJ wandering around was on there. mostly was of the lobby. Surely there was more to see of KJ.... ?

Is there any link to the entire 36 hours?

No. This person is releasing them over the periscope in sections You keep going back, and she'll have more. I got some of the original footage, but it's VERY long. The way the hotel did it, was they had hours long blocks of each camera. So I believe it is even more than 36 actual hours, but rather it covers a 36 hour time period from several angles.

They have footage of the lobby, the elevator, the back entrance, the escalator, the hallways she walked down on Conference level. The kitchen, and the entire time she got thawed out, her mother seeing her, etc.

You just have to be careful watching it because the time can jump based on the motion sensor, and it will "look" like something is happening at the same time, but in reality, an hour went by first.

I thought the footage would clear up a lot, but it's just making people come up with even more wild theories.

It's hard to findfootage that you can see, no one has written all over it or tampered with it. I believe this person got the footage by the freedom of information act request.

This covers the other hall with the bathroom on it. The person broadcasting skips around a lot.

I saw the footage where they pull her from the freezer and present her to her mother. I didn't see that her hair was all over the place as if she'd been in a fight, BUT I did see some evidence bags that appeared to have hair weave tracks in it. Let me know if you think it's hair weave or what.

If you watch this, you will see KJ on a stretcher with her body covered up to her head. Just a Fyi warning. It is near end of video.

From the way they get her out, it just seems that the freezer is right there as you turn the corner. If that's true, it looks like she really did just walk herself in there. Also, I don't know if that time stamp is correct or if it's an hour off. fyi.

What do you think? Do you agree because of how close it seems like the freezer is to the last time she was spotted on camera? I wish we could gt the pictures the police took. Would they be apart of the freedom of information act? If so, I might try to request them. I think I could figure this out if only I could see around that corner.

This video also explains a lot about why it took time before they let her mother see her.

Yeah, I don't get that, either, but I do notice that they brought the mom and sister in from the same direction and KJ came and they passed under the same camera KJ did. So I don't even know about the sister's description of where it was in the kitchen. It's not like they came in from a different way.

For the second night in a row, Teresa Martin stood with supporters while adamantly stating that she was not a “sell out.”
Martin led chants of “release the tapes,” “tear it down,” and “justice for Kenneka” that were directed at the hotel located in Rosemont, Illinois.

snip

Martin can be heard asking authorities to “release the tape.” The statement is a reference to the hotel’s surveillance footage that showed Jenkins staggering around the hallway before making her way into the kitchen, where the freezer was located.

Am I missing something? Weren't all 36 hours of footage released in response to a FOIA?

Thank you, wasn’t_me, so we will get to see the entire 36 hours. This to me was the possibly one of the most crucial elements of the tapes.

We can clearly see this is the “upper” kitchen, as it is labeled in the video corner. It appears to me she was in that right side white corner area, so the double doors could be right there (and be white). All the activity was focused there throughout. Perhaps there is another area inside that where she actually was found.

hard to be sure, but it did look like it might be hair in the evidence bag; sometimes it seemed different, tho—video viewing is not my best skill.

Indeed they were, she needs to sit through them like the rest of us. Wasn’t_me Explained to me above that the tapes are being released for our access a little at a time, but the should all be available. I would wager a bet that Mom can go to the police department and see them all if she prefers that to "at home viewing”.

Just my opinion, but Mom did not seem too upset when viewing the body of her daughter. it would have been so difficult had it been me in that position to not be crying hysterically and wanting to wrap my arms around my child. not sure if they were instructed to not touch her, but the sister seemed more concentrated on Kenneka. No one needs to tell me “we all grieve differently” as I know some just don’t show emotion in the same way as others, but it really struck me as to how I would feel. Again, JMO

I recall back when this first happened, either LE or the hotel offered for her mom to watch the tapes, but she did not take them up on the offer. So her protesting "release the tapes" seems misguided IMO.

I was also surprised at her mom's reaction to seeing Kennekas body.

Since Mom was still recovering from surgery, maybe her reaction was subdued by painkillers?

Who is the guy in the green jacket with the red/maroon beanie? Also the man in the blue jacket with the pot belly? The coroner maybe. I'm not bringing this into a conspiracy aspect, but they both acted weird to me. Well, the green jacket just seems oddly dressed for that environment.

Correct and I'm assuming the surgery was due to cancer. Most patients with potentially terminal illnesses are given mood enhancers as well.

I find it so appalling that video of her dead body being wheeled out of the freezer had to be released to the public. :sigh:

I don't disagree, but this what the protestors/activists/family have been protesting for since day 1.

Agree. It is their doing. They got what they wanted. I don't blame the authorities that released it. However, I wonder if it will change anyone's mind that was out protesting. Will they even watch it? Will they stop claiming there was some big conspiracy? I doubt it. JMO.

I disagree. I thought they were very respectful--and caring. The way they adjusted the blanket, etc.

I'd also assume coroner and assistant, the assistant would have been wearing the jacket and hat because of the temperature in the freezer. My son takes a coat and hat to work on days that he has to stock or rearrange the freezer.

Personally, I'm kind of surprised that they had her view the body onsite instead of at the coroner's office but maybe it was done that way for her mom's benefit?

Not if what is being posted on FB groups is any indication.
