I don't think it's even the type of meds one would use to increase the buzz. It might make you sleepy and drowsy if taken with alcohol, but how does it increase the buzz?

I understand what your husband is saying but this isn't an active/working kitchen right now. It was my understanding that this particular kitchen area was under renovation for the new "CaddyShack Restaurant." The new restaurant is scheduled to open in January of 2018. Why would the cooler/freezer be operating now? Seems much to early to have it on if the restaurant is expected to open 3 months from now. Would they be making refrigerated or frozen food deliveries this soon for the new restaurant? Seems strange to me. JMO

I asked him about this specifically, I didn't know these details before. He says that 3 months is excessive (duh) and there's no obvious reason to do this. According to him, one month is pretty much the max in his opinion.

There's also the chance that the freezer being left on could be an oversight entirely.

In the video she is lying flat on the stretcher. So, she must have been laying flat on the freezer floor. I do think that this was an accident but that does seem strange to me. Just my opinion. I hope her family finds peace.

but then i thought if it is gonna be empty for half a year I can just have someone clorox it

I remain totally stuck on the notion that young party kids are not like oh lets eat some of mom seizure meds for some fun

sneaking it into someones drink is just as awful as we know called rape date stuff

hey lets throw in some stoke meds to see if we can have some more fun

ugh just does not ring for me for a group of party kids -- they could get real party stuff if they wanted

I migraned for about 15 years and you do learn that some of the meds are only for when your brain is beginning to blow up

you learn to take them before you go full blown

once that line is crossed you are effed and in the drug myself into a comma and hpoe that when i wake up it is on the decline stage

it is hell

sit up hurts

lie down hurts

cold hurts

eyes open hutts


eyes closed hurts

now i did find ( after a couple of years youdo know oh my god I am gonna go ) but the meds if you eat em at the right time ( before a certain threshold ) they will lesson them

but no matter what you will go

takes about 72 hours after the whole cycle is done

best way to describe the coming out is your brain has been beat up

just fried

but during that stage your so grateful that it is over you fugue out almost happy its over

i never had mixed signals by that i mean once i was on the decline i knew it was going away

Maybe not even a family member of hers. Someone at the party had it, maybe, thinking it did something it didn't? Some kids are naive about medications and like you said if they saw someone have some side effects of drowsiness or loopiness might think you take the drug to feel that way.

I don't think Topomax could get to an extreme date rape level though. It would just be like being extra drunk I think.

cause to me when i was reading the autopsy and then researched the drug the highest tablet comes in at 200 mg and actually dosing is much less than that

but i gave up trying to figure out being at 3000
does that mean she had to have someone crush up 20 pills

then i thought ok lets say she was spiked about an hour before she started roaming

and then in the fridge

any then ignored for a day and half

then prep for the autopsy

then draw the samples
so the truth is the levels they got were two days old

so really what were the levels in real time

I would certainly go higher than the 3000 found

The medical examiner checked the temperature of the freezer when he did a walk around with the Rosemont police. He wanted to see if the freezer was working properly. The freezer temperature was recorded as -10 degrees which is normal for a walk-in freezer. But that still doesn't explain why the freezer was running in a very old kitchen that hadn't been used in a long time.

There were a lot of different places/rooms she could have entered into to go and "pass out in" if she was intoxicated. i.e in the pic right there before going around the corner is a room! To me it's not making any sense why KJ would go into a freezer with not just 1 door to get into but 2 and she walks/staggers right into the very far little inside room of it? After that 1st part of freezer closed wouldn't it be dark in there? How did KJ know where to find the handle of the inner door? And why go farther and farther away?
Wondering about the box in the pic inside first freezer part hmmm. Also the mystery coffee cup in the kitchen, was there when KJ wandered into there and it was still there as they displayed her body for the mom and sister? Unprofessional JMO (the kitchen looks more like a morgue IMO)

People need to find someone to blame so the can feel no guilt about whatever they might have contributed or might have prevented. It is much easier to blame some one or some thing rather than take responsibility especially if there might be a big fat check at the end of the rainbow. Just my opinion.

The shoe and sock may have gotten misplaced when the toe tags were put on. Just because the coroner didn’t get one doesn’t mean LE doesn’t have it. They may have taken it to check for trace evidence. The small abrasion and bruise near the ankle (not thigh) was probably a rolled ankle during her staggering very possibly during that cute maneuver at the bottom of the stairs.

Was KJ known for taking drugs? I'm still thinking someone at the party gave her the drug without her knowing . The 1 guy's live video in it at the end of the video he's asking where the cup is at? What cup? And they looked to be disposable cups so why is he asking for a disposable cup back (evidence?) JMO

Her Topamax serum levels were within therapeutic range. "Therapeutic range" is the serum concentration usually expected to achieve desired therapeutic effects of the drug. You can't just take a couple of pills of Topamax and achieve therapeutic range.

Her family said that she wasn't prescribed that drug but KJ was over 18, and didn't need her mother to go to the doctor with her. If she had been given a scrip, that would be between her, and her doctor. She also may have been new to taking Topamax, and did not realize (or believe) how heavy drinking, combined with the drug, might affect her.

My notions are someone as a family member with either seizures or migraine

and it would seem by observation of someone taking it for correct reasons would appear to be knocked out .

So I would thing someone that observed that would just conclude that it knocks people out throw in some alcohol and it would do the same thing as a more common date rate drug

I think if that were the case though, it would show traces of the drug, not a therapeutic level. Honestly, I can see nothing fun about taking Topamax as a recreational drug, or to use it to as substance to drug someone. It would even be difficult to crush, and either snort, or put into a drink, unlike say 2-3 xanax or some opiate based pain pills (both of which I'd come much closer to seeing at a party).

Some of the workers may have turned it on, to put stuff in the cooler section during the day, or had left it on over the weekend to see if it reached desired cooling temps. As OP said, it takes several days to reach max cooling, so let it cool over the weekend, and check the temps Monday morning.

Someone could have sold her a 100 mg as something else. They don't say Topamax on them. Even if they did, I think they'd be much less harmful than if they'd sold her a 100mg oxy.
