Looks like we got another COB on our hands.....

Ya know, I am getting really really really tired of all these senseless murders - I for one am voting for the return of vigilante justice!

I agree - "An eye for eye" I say.

I'm having a terrible time the past few days accessing WS. We either have had lots of new people join or there are too many 'new' crimes of interest. :(

Anyway, while I was locked out I found an article from the Chicago paper, which I can't seem to access again, that said Christopher Vaughn had told one of his relatives, two weeks prior to this incident, that he was thinking of a divorce.

Seeing as how close Kimberly was with her family and how happy she appeared to be, IMHO, I think he FORGOT to tell his wife.

Seriously :(, this has so many similarities to the Peterson case, it's getting spooky!

PS.........I also am seeing more and more where he had a different story EVERY TIME he told it during the FIRST DAYS, with LE and the man who found him..................I hope he keeps talking.:loser:

I just can't get over how sad this story is. It really ticks me off.

Anyway, about his left arm wound. I think he could have lifted his leg in the air, then grabbed it with his left hand to support it and stabilize himself, then when he shot he accidentally grazed the top of his arm.

I have to wonder about the original story he was telling, though. Was he seriously trying to sell someone else was involved? What a crock.
Just my opinion.

You are so right about this being just like the Peterson case and this guy seems to be even dumber than Scott Peterson. He can't keep his story straight and it is so conveniant that a few weeks before he is thinking of a divorce and all of a sudden his family ends up dead. :banghead:

Plus he told someone recently that he was having an AFFAIR with another woman!! And he told his relatives that he wanted a divorce!??!?!

Also, it said in the Chicago paper that Kimberly's mom said there is no way she would killed her kids and herself as even neighbors said Kim was very protective of her kids and even walked them the bus stop regardless of weather. Plus Kim hated guns and wouldn't even let the kids have water pistols!!

This guy is guilty as SIN!! I'm sure the cops must KNOW by now that he is guilty.

But they probably just have to wait for all the tests to come back.

Shyspinner, I agree with you. Both of my children would have said forget it. My kids would have wanted to be there when the park first opened and then stayed until it closed. Soccer would have been on the back burner that day. And what responsible parent would wake their children before dawn to drive 300 miles roundtrip to a water park, and then expect to be home in the afternoon for soccer???

Bingo. A normal Mom wouldn't do this. None of his story is making any sense at all. I have a feeling LE will wait until after the funeral's then move in on him.

Okay...what is a "cob"?

Thinking out loud here.,....but shouldn't they be able to tell how far distance the bullet traveled that hit his leg...Also, the angle (I know everyone has been saying....) but if he did it don't you think he would have thought about these couple of things??

--->>>Presuming that HE shot himself, we all pretty much concur on that point. HOLDING the gun to shoot oneself in ones leg, one should have powder residue on ones hand from shooting the gun AND AND AND the close proximity of hand to leg, (hand steadying the leg, guessing here - aim sorta off) there should also HAVE BEEN powder residue on yer leg too, (I think, huh, er?). Sheer gravity of the heavy gun powder dropping down on yer leg (I am a thinking, huh,er?).

On the Jessie Davis thread, JDB made a typo. Instead of cop he typed cob...so its kinda stuck. The cop is the father of the missing pregnant woman's 2 y/o and unborn child and not named a suspect but......so COB or cob has evolved.

Thank you, Chico.

Chalk me up as another one that was wondering! I was afraid it was offensive, and I was trying to figure out which member to PM to ask, LOL.

Thanks, Chico!

Shoulda known it was JDB :blowkiss: {{hugs}}

I like JDB's word. Combination of COP and SOB.

That's so true! I think that'll now take off and fit a number of these guys who (**allegedly**) killed their wife/gf...

Did anyone one on here see the Law and Order episode? I am wondering if the shootings on the episode took place in a vehicle?

I see all the holes in his story ...

The only thing that really throws me is that it seems to have been reported that she was shot under the chin? How could he sneak up on her and do that? Though I suppose we really don't know exactly how long they were there...

I think that's what has me have that little bit of doubt - from what's "leaked" I still can't figure how it all could have gone down without more panic .. on 4 of 5 people...

Hi Pamlet,

Where has it been reported that she was shot under the chin. If that's the case, I can't imagine that's how any killer would shoot someone in the head!

Let's presume that the wife did this - my jury remains out until forensics come back - perhaps her husband DID tell her he wanted a divorce and she could not bear the reality of that....so much so that she didn't mention it to anyone - not her family or friends, certainly not the neighbors who never really no what goes on in someone else's house anyway.

She just kept going on with the perfect family facade - even in the face of betrayal and possible divorce.

Whatever brings her to that dark road that morning, she snaps and shoots at him. He runs away and she goes over the edge and kills the rest of her family and herself.

This doesn't explain everything, but it could fit some of what we know.
