Beaver County woman arrested, accused of abducting boy from Illinois who she met online

Lilandra Redman, 20, of Rochester met the 15-year-old victim from Woodstock, Illinois, online and had been in contact with the child for a few years.

Investigators said the two would use social media and apps to talk and on Aug. 3, Redman traveled to the child's home in Illinois in an Uber in the early morning hours.

The sheriff's office said the child left his parents a note stating that he traveled to New York City with a woman named Jessica and factory reset his phone and left it behind in Illinois.

Police said the two flew back to Pennsylvania and authorities found the victim in the evening on Aug. 3 in Beaver County at Redman's home. Police said Redman was not there when the victim was found.

On Aug. 19, police in Illinois charged Redman and police have been searching for her since then.

The Allegheny County Sheriff's Office said deputies began pursuing her recently and found her Wednesday evening around 6 p.m. at a home in the 2900 block of Versailles Street in McKeesport.

This is extremely disturbing on so many levels.

I wonder if she made her bail then she is gaming or whatever they call it. IMO that is more than luring. She crossed State lines with this boy.

Her Pintrest IMO is disturbing. Then again I don't like anime or furries. Now what? I'd want her locked up even for the sake of wondering where my son is.

I looked at that neighborhood on Versailles Street, and it was not impressive at all -- it looked pretty run-down.
Glad LE found her -- LE amazes me quite often how they can locate some people so quickly.
I hope the young man is doing okay and will understand why his folks were so worried about him. Hoping his home situation is a good one.
Was he running "to" something or running "from" something?

She is in big trouble...what in the world possessed her?? Glad she's been found.
