Police are looking for a 15-year-old girl who went missing from her Northwest Side home earlier this month. Maisha Thomas was reported missing from her home in the 3700 block of North California Avenue about 5 p.m. on April 4, apparently after she left for school about 7:30 a.m. that morning and did not return, according to police News Affairs.
Thomas is described as an African-American, 5-foot-5 and 165 pounds with brown eyes and black hair typically worn in braids. She was last seen wearing a jacket, white shirt, blue pants and gym shoes.
Police said the girl is a "habitual missing person" who previously went missing in March for five days.
Grand Central Area Special Victims Unit detectives are investigating. Anyone with information should call (312) 746-8365.
