CHICAGO (CBS) — Chicago police are searching for a woman who is 9 months pregnant and has been missing since Tuesday.

Marlen Ochoa-Uriostegui, 19, who also goes by Lopez, was last seen in the area of 2001 S. California, according to police.

She is 5 feet 3 inches tall, weighs about 125 pounds and has brown hair and brown eyes.

Marlen was last seen wearing a gray sweater and sweatpants with a maroon top with a Latino Youth High School logo on it.

She may be driving a black Honda civic.

Anyone with information about Marlen is asked to call 911 or the special victim’s unit at (312)747-8274.

I feel like the obvious question is where is her baby’s father? It seems like preggo ladies go missing and more times than not it was the young man soon to owe child support. In my opinion.

The best case scenario in these cases is that the mother takes off to give birth because the infant is going to be taken by child services. Since the car is also missing, I’m hoping that this is a voluntary disappearance.

I wonder what is going on with her husband, and her child?

Pretty, pretty young woman. Her husband is IMHO an adorable looking kid. They're both so young. His facebook seems like that of a young dad that loves his wife and kids. Looks like he lives in Des Moines, Iowa but she is from there but now living in Chicago. Hope she is located safely.

Activist Andrew Holmes is offering to help with search efforts. His organization is currently working on finding 27 year-old Kierra Coles, a pregnant postal worker, who has been missing since failing to show up to work last October.

"I'm gonna be involved to find the whereabouts of these young women." Holmes said.

Other than race, the dynamics of these two women were completely different. Kierra Coles was early on in the pregnancy and may not have even been visibly pregnant. Marlen is due to give birth any time. Kierra's baby Daddy is married to someone else, a woman also expecting a baby, and has custody of a third child with another woman. Marlen appears to be very happily married with a two-year-old son. Kierra had a stable career job and Marlen was still in High School. I don't think these disappearances are related in any way if Mr Holmes was implying that.

Hmmm, seems like the FBI would step in if a ransom was demanded from someone in another country. Hopefully, they are involved.
