That's not what this says. It says an anonymous reporter contacted DCSS on May 9, 2019. The baby came to the hospital April 23, 2019.

Also, I’m really invested in this case because it goes back to what I was saying before, how do so many women go missing in Chicago and no one acts on it? At least, it seems like a lot of people don’t act quickly on it.

I’m glad we have closure on Marlen, but there are more women missing in Chicago. We have a pregnant postal worker who went missing in October, Kierra Coles.

Men even go missing around her in strange circumstances. In Zion, Aaron Ramos’ body was found in the retention pond. I don’t think that has been solved. Body recovered from Zion pond identified

A lot of odd things are happening in the Chicago and greater Chicago area.

I haven’t seen much in the media about this, but I read somewhere that the baby was left at the hospital. I need to track down those articles, and tell me if I’m wrong. It sounded like they went to the hospital, did their whole woe-is-me my baby is dying spiel for attention, and then when they learned the baby had no brain activity they left and didn’t come back. Because the baby was in the hospital. That’s where it was found. Was Clarissa really at the hospital for 3 weeks? Women are usually only at a hospital 3 days after giving birth. Again, I could be wrong.

Yeah I think you're right. She wasn't at the hospital for three weeks. But they spent a few days with the baby it appears. And I also recall that they didn't come back after they left- which an article states is not uncommon with these types of freaks as the baby is a tool to them. Not a human.

But the baby was not reported to the authorities until over two weeks later. That baby should've been reported the very day they were admitted.

That happens a lot, think of how many years John Wayne Gacy was able to kidnap and kill young boys, for decades, even though he had previously been in prison for sexual assault!

And women disappear all of the time, no one really cares, aside from their families. Look at the attention finally being placed on missing Native American women.

As for Kiera Coles, I believe that the police know who killed her, but they don't have evidence or a body to charge for her death.

Look at how many years Drew Peterson was able to be free to kill, over and over.

Is society more evil? Or are the laws so complicated to prove guilt that criminals are free...

Detectives went to Defendants home in search of Defendant Clarisa. They were informed that Defendant Clarisawas at the hospital because she had just given birth.

I think it was more for the sympathy and money. I mean she did set up a Go Fund me immediately. If they did this again, surely to goodness the family would be like whoa wait a minute what the heck is going on here, right?

Detectives went to Defendants home in search of Defendant Clarisa. They were informed that Defendant Clarisawas at the hospital because she had just given birth.

Hmm. It's interesting. It does appear that they found the connection to Clarisa quickly. Either the 24th or soon after.

Yet the proffer is somewhat misleading. They didn't test the baby until AFTER the anonymous report to DCFS it appears. They didn't protect the baby and keep him away from those ghouls.

And they apparently created the crowd funding site "over the next few weeks" which makes me think they did go back to the hospital for photo ops.

LE also didn't obtain a search warrant until 5-14. Three weeks later.

Why? If they actually had these creeps in their crosshairs from the beginning why was the child unprotected and untested and why did it take so long to obtain a search warrant.

I think they screwed up. It appears they did make an immediate connection but didn't realize the significance or magnitude of the connection and then failed to follow through properly.

I'm not one to criticize LE in these cases and nothing that LE did or didn't do would've saved Marlen and her baby.

But that baby was left exposed to those people for far too long and Marlen's body was left decomposing for three weeks when they should've been able to easily obtain a search warrant within a couple days of making that connection due to: 1) Last place Marlen was known to have gone to. 2) Woman had just "given birth" to a child but showed no signed of pregnancy or delivery.

That's probable cause IMO.

And that baby should've been removed and a report to authorities instantly when the ghoul showed up with him and had no signs of having given birth.

I find it all quite odd.

They then call 911 right after the murder knowing Marlen's dead body is right there in the house.

I think the proffer is misleading. It doesn't give dates, but from other articles police only made the connection on May 7th, after they got a tip from one of victim's friends that victim was on facebook. I don't believe they made immediate connection at all.

Did you read this article? May 7 is when police first discover a connection. Not right away.

Very true, I do agree it is very much similar to the Munchausen population. I would not be surprised to hear there are others who are also missing after coming into contact with these people.

What did she have over her boyfriend and daughter that made them agree to “help” her?

Here is the timeline. May 7 is when police first discovered a connection. Certainly not right away. Apparently May 7 is when police went to the hospital to talk to the alleged killer for the first time. Not sure what she was still doing at the hospital all this time later.
