EAST ST. LOUIS • Police have identified a woman found shot to death Sunday as Nyosha Lache White, 19, of Sparta.

White was identified by relatives after police released details of White's distinctive tattoos, said East St. Louis Police Chief Michael Floore.

White was found fatally shot about 12:45 a.m. Sunday in the 3900 block of Glass Street, Floore said. It was the city's eight homicide of the year.

White died of a gunshot would to the head, Floore said. Her tattoos included "Princess" on the back of her neck, plus "Love" and "Pain" on her chest. In addition, the number "4" is on the back of her right hand and "NeNe" is across the top of her right foot.

Floore said police have no suspects in her killing.

"We don't know the particulars on why she was here," Floore said.

Prosecutors in St. Clair County have charged 18-year-old Donzell Curry of Centreville with first-degree murder in the death of Nyosha White of Sparta.

According to Illinois DOC, Curry was sentenced to five years for involuntary manslaughter:
