I haven't read all the stories nor have I watched all of the interviews. But it sounds like all of the stuff from grandpa has not been reported by police. We have no idea where he's getting this stuff. If he's going by what police told Ciara during questioning, then he may want to zip it for now. Police may have told her all sorts of stuff, including things that weren't true.

My take on Grandpa's revelations are as follows...

I feel he is trying to pull his family together... Trying to make the best of a horrendous situation...

I do not feel he has all the facts at his disposal... That his family members may not be telling the whole truth...

but he is in such a vulnerable position... Lack of sleep... Shock from all the life changing events unfolding before him...

and I wish there was a family member or close friend who could replace poor Grandpa's place as spokesperson...

But... With that said...

I believe LE is welcoming the wealth of information he is supplying... Whether true or not true... As they continue to fit all the puzzle pieces together...

all JMO... And can change as new events are revealed...

Well this just is awful! The only upside is that she was found, the perp arrested and now the case can begin for swift justice. I've read this thread and Im pretty taken aback by a few opinions regarding looks, drug use and Satanism! Where do people get this?! As a recovering junkie (yep, I went there) who is a card carrying member of the COS - I would hate to hear what people would think of me on these boards. Hurting a child or another person is against all logic. Do people do horrific things while "high"? yes. Do people do horrific things while sober? Yes. I can assure you that not many heroin addicts have the energy or care to kill someone! Only a sick and depraved person with no empathy for human life commits murder - period - mental illness, religion and choice of substances aside.

Drugs don't make you a bad person, being a bad person makes you a bad person. Sometimes people use their addictions as an excuse - the second that becomes less believable is when people stop allowing that to be used and justified.

Just curious....what is a COS?

The grandpa has said, according to other posters here who went to great lengths to verify it, that the uncle thought she was dead or would die from an impalement injury that was accidental. The "putting out of misery" part would be sufficient to support a murder 1 charge. Although I don't think it necessarily would stick if tried and there was evidence of an accident preceding it.

jmo

I did read a number of the articles in which grandpa made that claim. If grandpa was not a witness to what happened in that house then he's getting his info 2nd hand and I question whether what he's been told is true or is a coverup type of story. Until I read or see something official from LE I'm going to remain skeptical. I'm not into speculating and like to wait for known/verified facts.

The autopsy already occurred today, yes? And then they charged JD with 1st degree murder this afternoon. That charge is not by mistake or a mere misunderstanding. LE and the DA of the area know why they are charging JD with this most serious level. Despite what grandpa says or thinks, the reality of what's unfolding doesn't point to an "oops my bad" scenario. When in doubt sit back and watch what LE does for the real story.

The evidence is going to blow that House of Sticks down, just like Big Bad Wolf did!!

Quotes directly from Willow's mother Ciera DeRyke and a lot more of her explanation in her own quotes of what happened on Sunday morning in the article. I didn't want to link too much of it here. ULBM

DeRyke noted that Willow apparently left the house under undetermined circumstances between “10:05 a.m. and 10:15 a.m.” Sunday morning.

“I woke up at 10:15 a.m. and then we went outside and through the house and around the block a few times so it was 10:30 a.m. when we called 9-1-1.”

"...my mother called the mayor’s wife. Her husband got people together immediately and started calling and going door to door. I had several of the neighbors here and I had pictures of Willow.”

“I don’t even know how to begin to say thank you to everyone. I’ve been kind of trying to figure out how to thank everybody. I expected there would be a lot of people out looking for her and helping, but there are so many people from so far away helping that aren’t even connected to the community,” said DeRyke with a trembling voice.
an interesting perspective when the above statements are underlined... Highlighted... :waitasec:

Was the statement about feeding the kids cereal and pop tarts a direct quote from Ciara? Or was that a retelling from the media or another friend/family member? I'm trying to figure out if Ciara locked herself into that statement.

ETA: I found the quote. It came from Ciara's boyfriend's mother.

“Her mom and dad are over-the-road truck drivers. They had left the night before (Saturday) to go out on the road and when Ciara got up Sunday morning she fed the kids cereal and pop tarts about 7ish and about 8:30 she wasn’t feeling well,” explained Everett.

Hmmm. They left Saturday night? The same night which is now bing claimed as when "the accident" occurred? They need to go into the manure business. Sorry if this has already been discussed, I'm about 10 pages behind.

Does anyone know what time the grandparent's left on Saturday night? When they went OTR? Is there any indication that there actually was a party at their home after they left? Was there actually a party or did C leave her kids in the care of her brother to go out (not condemning this young mother, but the facts are murky at best).

I've spoken to a friend of the mother and uncle. They said that Sat night the mom and uncle threw a party that didn't end until between 4 and 5 Sunday morning. Willow's dad is frustrated because LE isn't talking to them. I suspect there is a reason. I would really not be surprised to see obstruction charges come out of this for the mom...at the very least.

I really wanted to believe that the mom was being somewhat responsible for her children. Unfortunately, from what we are hearing this evening, a party that lasted most of the night makes sense. If this is true, there is no telling "who" is really guilty.

Interesting. This is the first mention I've read about a party going on !

Who else saw Willow on Sat. , and who were the last people to actually see Willow alive , besides mom and uncle J. ??

http://fox2now.com/2013/09/10/suspect-being-held-for-suspicion-of-murder/

Dale DeRyke says Justin was babysitting the little girl on Saturday night. He says the two were playing, chasing one another around the house, when Willow ran outside. He says there is a pile of sticks he keeps in the back and the girl fell into them.

“A stick went through her and through her head,” he said Tuesday night. “She was laying there twitching and dying. My son is 22 years old. He’s not….he’s never had experiences like this. He was scared. He hid her body.”

Must be a pretty big stick to go through her head. And again, he's 22. Seemingly intelligent and has all his faculties. He could have called 911. A five year old would know to get help and call 911.

Also, what part does little brother pointing at the door and saying Willow play in this scenario. If he was in bed as GP suggested, then why would he do that?

:twocents: not buying it, sorry.

Quoting LucyO:

"We need to see what the COD (cause of death) was and go from there. But, given everything I see on social media about this guy, unless he snapped, there is nothing to indicate or foreshadow this situation would occur or he was capable of this. "

I'm still looking at all his SM...he's got quite a bit. The emotional scars comment is interesting. (Btw, that comment is interesting for more reasons than one! I believe it was either Clueless or Toothless (:floorlaugh:, clueless or toothless, haha) who mentioned their own "emotional scars"...then he used the exact same words...that was creepy).

I remember looking at that dirtbag Jesse Speer's facebook, and how we were all blown away with his incredible talent as a nature photographer...National Geographic and all.

What is the SM link? tia
Was JD parroting the post of that person or repeating back what he/she had posted word-for-word? I'm asking because parroting is something that schizophrenics do.
