Willow found in pooling of water. Hard to find, hard to see from air due to trees.

Would like to see a profile pic of JD. He has a very unusual face (in the nursing pediatric world we would call him FLK (funny looking kid) and it often means there is something very wrong). Wonder if he is missing part of the frontal lobe of his brain or something.

She was found in an area they call a "slew" The river rises up, leaves water in there, and recedes... They call it a "cooling area" for the water. I believe I understood that correctly. Static!

I am new and I feel this way too. Not one person has welcomed me or aknowleged me. But..I remind myself these are heavy hearted cases and emotions can run high (and rumors!) When a new story (for lack of better word) happens in a new town, I know a lot of new people show up. I am one, as every person posting here was at one time. There is a lot of explaining the rules and learning to agree to disagree. As well as suspicion of who you "really" are(you never know who is here lurking). So I overlook it and throw in my 2cents when I want to, lol I am hoping with post numbers and experience I will earn some friends. =-)

Hi Dogs4me - Welcome to WS! I don't know about everyone else but Willow's thread has been moving quickly the past 24 hours not to mention little Elaina's thread and so many more. I can't keep up with all of them and I'm sure it's the same for others. This is a great community full of caring individuals. :seeya:

In interviews with investigators with the Illinois State Police, Justin DeRyke said he had been in his bedroom playing video games for much of the night before leaving his room to go into the bathroom to masturbate and watch pornographic films. Upon leaving the bathroom, Long grabbed his arm to bring him downstairs to watch television and scratched DeRyke's arm, drawing blood.

DeRyke said he was angry at seeing blood and chased Long. She fled the house and ran to a brush pile. She fell into the pile and was impaled through the neck with a branch. DeRyke said Long was twitching and he "believed he had to put her out of her misery." DeRyke then slashed her throat and said he stabbed her multiple times, aiming for the heart before wrapping her body in garbage bags, sealing them with duct tape and dropping her body in a body of water south of Watson.

Kibler said the body was found by volunteers at around 7:30 p.m. Monday and a small hole in the bag revealed an elbow, with the size of the bags indicating the remains inside may be those of a child. The bags were not opened at the scene and were instead sent to St. Anthony's Memorial Hospital for an autopsy.

Awww I'm sorry, honestly everything is moving real fast, I've got 4 streams running hoping to find a feed, I'm sad and angry, everyone here is great trust me. It just takes a little getting used to, the rules and how WS rolls. I was a long time reader before I plucked up the courage to post. And I feel for ToothlessFairy too, I keep meaning to say something, again I'm sorry. Alanna Gallagher was the first case I got actively involved with on here, and I had to step away a few times because the emotion can get the better of you.

FLK is a much nicer way of saying what an earlier poster said, (that I agree with)....

"I just hate his stupid looking face"

PC: You have to realize that our mindset at that time was yeah they let us into the house our mindset was that we were looking for a 7 year old girl, so our ... investigation was nothing but finding a live child, that is what we were facing, one moment we are looking for a child and the next moment we are looking for evidence.

Were dogs used to search around the house? Yes they were. The dogs did find a scent. we used 2 different dogs, those dogs went north to ...main street... and it seems like they lost the scent after that

I do not see any way that this little angel ran and stumbled and impaled herself with enough force to have a stick go through her head or even the softer tissues of her neck.

She only stood a few feet off of the ground, weighed only about 40lbs., and would have had to have been running with the speed of a bullet.

That stick would have needed to have been chiseled into a sharp point and been coming at her with tremendous force.

The grandfather must be devastated. I know he didn't want to believe his own son would do something so horrific to his own granddaughter.

This is just heartbreaking....

It will be easy to determine if a stick was used on any of her wounds because it will leave debris behind. Poor sweet Willow.

Her Mom made a huge mistake believing that she simply walked out of the house and was lost.... and lied to police about seeing her that morning. I just wonder if there is some reason why her children should not have been left in her brother's care and that is why she lied.

What if part of his story was true about the stick?

What if he tried to rape her and she fell or he threw her down and she just happened to get a stick in the throat and he panicked because really how could he explain this? She was still alive at that point and could have told the truth and in MOO he killed her? Sounds like it could be possible but I am sure that the evidence will speak once the trial takes place.

There has got to be blood somewhere!!!

I don't want to believe the stick theory at all because it sounds so ridiculous. However I need to hear more in order to rule it out. Like another post said, he may have used it first and it didn't work so he chose the knife.

Question is: Why so much anger? There lies the answer
