IN - 8 Dead at Indianapolis FedEx Facility Mass Shooting, 15 Apr 2021

America has 5% of the World's population, yet it accounts for 30% of the Mass Shootings.

I'm stumped as to why that could be, (not really).

When did she reach out to them? Was it right before he committed mass murder or in March over a year ago?

I think it was in March 2020. What I don't understand is how he could gain access to yet another firearm after being detained in a mental health facility.

FBI Indianapolis Special Agent in Charge Paul Keenan told a reporter .... that 'the suspect's mother contacted law enforcement to report he might try to commit 'suicide by cop'.'
'The suspect was placed on an immediate detention mental health temporary hold by the Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department,' Keenan said.

'Based on items observed in the suspect's bedroom at that time, he was interviewed by the FBI in April 2020. No Racially Motivated Violent Extremism (RMVE) ideology was identified during the course of the assessment and no criminal violation was found.'
.... 'the shotgun was not returned to the suspect' after the incident last March.

Tragically, it sounds like it was the beginning of a shift change, with people coming into work and leaving.

The folllowing excerpt is from someone whose friend's Mom was dropping him and his friend off at work:

Brandon Scott Hole: 5 Fast Facts You Need to Know | Heavy.com

“This made me stand up and actually look out the entrance door, and I saw a man with a submachine gun of some sort, an automatic rifle, and he was firing in the open,” Jeremiah Miller told WISH. “I immediately ducked down and got scared and my friend’s mother, she came in and told us to get inside the car.”

Zen, I thought of that this morning when it stated it happened around 11 pm.

Imo, he totally premeditated this mass murder, and probably had for awhile.

Most mass murderers usually does great planning before they inside their victims without warning right out of the blue. IMO, he used the surprise attack knowing they would have their guard done when he stuck Imo, he knew people would be in the parking lot on break.

Once the FBI thoroughly investigates what's on his communication devices it will be quiet revealing, imo. He could have written out his to do list or left some kind of manifesto.

IMPD has coordinated with the Marion County Coroner’s Office and is planning to release the names of the deceased victims at 8:15pm this evening.

The identities of the victims have not been released at this time, though 13News has confirmation four of the victims were members of the Sikh community in Indianapolis.

Wonder about the possibility of a hate crime against Sikhs?

If they family member recently contacted LE they must have thought he was dangerous, and also homicidal now.

Its still not clear to me whether it was a recent call right before the murders happened or she called them over a year ago.

Oh no. How sad all four victims were Sikhs that he targeted since I'm sure he had many others he could have selected to kill.

Relatives have identified several of the victims in the mass shooting at a FedEx facility in Indianapolis.

Jasvinder Kaur, 50, and Amarjit Sekhon, 49, are among the eight dead, according to Rimpi Girn, a family member.
They worked on the 11 p.m. shift at FedEx, Kaur said. She said she thinks her aunts were killed in their car by a gunman in the parking lot.

Jaswinder Singh was also identified as one of the victims, by his nephew, 27-year-old Harry Singh.

The number of people in Indianapolis practicing Sikhism, a monotheistic religion that originated in northern India, has grown in recent years.

Police said they recovered a rifle but did not specify the make and model. A gun was seized from Hole about a year ago, officials said, and he was “found in a couple police reports.”

Anyone able to find any priors for Brandon Hole?

I don't know if there were any priors, as such, but he was in two police reports. One of them being the one where his mum reported in March 2020 that he might try suicide by cop.

McCartt said Hole's name appeared in two previous police reports, including one last year from an incident in which a gun was seized.

I’m not finding anything on him which is strange.

The other report could be this, I think ... (do they keep private any info on people with mental health problems?)

A family member of the suspected shooter reached out to authorities warning about the suspect's potential for violence, according to three law enforcement sources briefed on the matter.
It was not clear when the warning was given but the outreach was followed up by both local authorities and the FBI, which opened a preliminary investigation into any possible threat, the sources said.
The FBI eventually closed their inquiry into the suspect after concluding there wasn't sufficient evidence to continue it, according to the sources, who did not specify why federal investigators dropped the matter.

Thursday's mass shooting was at least the third such incident this year in Indianapolis alone.

Five people, including a pregnant woman, were shot and killed in January, and a man was accused of killing three adults and a child before abducting his daughter during at argument at a home in March.

Kamala Harris says US 'violence must end', after another mass shooting

Those were both domestics, which IMHO are even worse.

About half of the fatalities were of Sikh descent.

And it would be dark, too.

It makes me so sad that Sikhs have been targeted a lot by people, they know nothing about their religion but kill them based on a stereotype of what a terrorist looks like.
They think they are targeting Muslims who they hate but Islam is one of the Abrahamic religions, along with Christianity and Judaism, who all share some of the same passages in their Bible, Koran and Torah.
Sikhs are not connected in any way other than they respect everyone’s belief in their own god.
Sikhs believe in one god with no gender who lives in each persons soul, they are egalitarians who believe in no one’s superiority based on gender, religion, race, or caste. They believe in humanity’s progress connecting to the divine (god) within our souls by the practice of the tenets of love, justice, and service to humanity, through lifetimes of reincarnation.
Sikhs are some of the kindest and most accepting, non judgmental, people I’ve ever met.

People are so blinded by hate they don’t even know who they are killing.
It’s not ok to kill Muslims either, it only puts them in the same category as those they claim to hate.
