My thoughts are with you. This case is horrible, and to know the victim must compound the horror. Thank you for your insight, and I am so sorry for everyone affected by this crime.

Thank you, when this was first reported my family was scrambling as my ex sister in law (was married to my brother and still a huge part of the family) works at Catholic Supply. At first it wasn't stated which location this occured. She works at the one in the city of St Louis and while it didn't take long to find out it seemed like forever.

Wow - that certainly must have been a horrible scare. I bet nerves are very frayed right now because of this crime. So sorry it happened close to you.

And this court document that lists the charges Thomas Bruce faces shows his height as being 5’09” and weight 210lb.

According to the FBI, the BG is described as being “5'6" to 5'10"” and weighing “180 to 200 pounds.”

Very interesting, thanks for posting his height and weight, I was curious. I’d posted this link earlier on the TB thread. So TB was actually a bit older than he appeared and taller too, when he allegedly committed the Catholic supply store murder/attack. Still he fits within the range of the Delphi description (along with millions of other men, I must admit)

Early on, when LE first distributed the image of BG it was under the pretence that he come forward to provide information. Later, after he failed to contact them, the photo of the man was declared to be a suspect and BG just sort of stuck.

So just reflecting but the thought just occurred to me - BG is a very mild and polite reference compared to autrocity of the horrific crime he’s accused of having committed.

So it’s about a 4 hour drive between St Louis and Delphi where the girls were killed, brazen act in the middle of the day, not concerned with witnesses or consequences, happily used his gun without impunity and he is ex Navy and wasn’t there a LOT of talk about it being white rope in BG jacket, sticking out ? Knows how to tie knots / people up professionally . Similar build and clothing and can blend into a variety of situations. The list is endless and goes on and on.

Definitely needs to be looked into as a potential match for BG

It was such a huge letdown when nothing came of the D.N. arrest. We all wanted it to be him so, so badly.

I hate to get my hopes up here...but there are so many details that allign I cannot help but feel like this must be B.G. That outfit...similarities to the sketch....multiple victims at once....his facebook started a year and a day exactly after the murders....his ties to Delphi....
I strongly feel like there is a 'signature' of some sort which will tie him to other cases as well. This WAS NOT his first rodeo. JMO

Kudos to the S.L.P.D. for tracking down this disgusting piece of filth so fast.

I am totally spitballing and speculating here, and everything MOO, but after digging around TB's social media (FB, Twitter, LinkedIn), and looking at the church college/franchise where he got a degree and started his own franchise...
I'm getting sort of a DeAngelo/GSK vibe from TB. "Normal" enough that he was getting away with stuff, but if you scratch the surface, he's boiling over with rage and resentment. This sense of misunderstood superiority and grandiosity... a perception that others are having successes and happiness in life that they "don't deserve" (but that GSK/TB do deserve and aren't getting). GSK and TB being underachievers compared to what other men in their social status, age group, and military record typically achieve, filling them with resentment and rage directed at everyone but themselves, especially women and girls. I think the idea of punishment, and being the one with the authority to dole it out, is very central to TB's crimes (as it was to GSK) and his focus on women and possibly Catholics. If I were the authorities, I'd be looking very carefully into any crimes that occurred in the Jewish community where he worked as well. I see his motivators as being resentment/religion/sex.

He was replying to another twitter user, which was a coffee shop with locations in St. Louis, Atlanta and Kansas City according to their Twitter page. So I googled the area code for St. Louis and it is 314. I then googled 314 with the # in the tweet and BAM! https://arch-city-cafe.business.site/
Seems he was wanting to open a coffee business.

Similarities could he -
That he murders innocent victims who refuse to perform sex acts on him, rage killing.
It appears he’s an opportunist, a sexual deviant seeking power and control who takes advantage of situations involving multiple females.
That both cases potentially involve a man wearing a fisherman style cap. In general terms, he also fits the basic description of BG.
If a gun was used in the Delphi murders, TB listed the various types of guns he owned in his bankruptcy docs Jan/17. Maybe one matches the bullets, if the Delphi girls died by gunshot? (Personally I think this is highly likely, and how BG demanded that the girls to go down the hill)

TB didn’t have a criminal record and as per media comments, others who knew him were shocked he’d (allegedly) commit such an atrocity as the Catholic store murder/attack. So he’d also be the classic type of suspect who wouldn’t appear on the radar of ISP until now.

As others have mentioned, if he has proven ties to Delphi I think that’d put him very high on the suspect list.

I just think of BTK Dennis Radar
No previous convictions
No one would have ever suspected him
Had Church ties
Just goes to show that we NEVER really know anybody... Would be interesting to know if this is BG

White Pages lists that he lived in Cleburne, TX. Can anyone find out when that was? There were some killings in TX that are thought to be of the I-70 killer. I'm wondering if that was when he was living there.

Mmm . . . many of us thought that DN was way too young to be BG. I know what you mean, though: people wanted the case to be solved.

I think this guy will turn out to be BG. There are too many similarities to ignore. He doesn't look exactly like BG, but the images of BG are badly pixiated, and TB's looks have probably changed.

My ex DH shaves his head bald and people presume that it’s because he is balding and has bits of straggling hair at the sides going grey that he wishes to rid him self of , however, he shaves it because if he didn’t then within 3-4 weeks he has what looks like a grey carpet of hair on his head as it’s so thick and coarse

The fact that he left two living witness's has to be important. He picked a target close to a bar he frequents. This guy was unraveling somehow. If he is responsible for other crimes...which I believe he has to be..I think we will know soon. He may want to get a lot off of his chest. He may have been ready to get caught.

He may have simply left them alive because he knew that LE were fast approaching as the sirens neared and decided to get out ASAP , not giving himself chance to kill them. I know it only takes seconds but so does LE to be upon you once the sirens are nearing plus the fact that he may have made mistakes in his frenzy

I agree with your thoughts about rage and resentment due to a massive inferiority complex. Does anyone think he’s possibly both the I-70 killer AND BG or are we speculating them as mutually exclusive? I wonder if perhaps he was no longer feeling “vindicated” from his heinous crimes (speculating he is both here) and, in much the same way someone quits a job without giving notice because they’re that over it, he committed this crime hoping to just get caught and finally get recognition as a “legendary” serial killer who committed his crimes in the daytime with multiple women / girls?

Of course it’s possible the STL crime is the only crime he’s ever committed but I doubt that so thoroughly I keep forgetting this is all speculation. Especially after reading the comments on an article about him. Which we cannot discuss.
