The bridge and hiking trails are popular hangouts for teens.
Is it a known teenage hangout underneath the Monon bridge?

  • #362
Yes and I suppose this is another reason LE is prevented from revealing information. How easy would it be for a malicious person to invent an entire set of facts to fit around the details...he told me, I overheard, etc. Neighbour is out of their hair and the tipster is $200k richer.

Thankfully, it takes a lot more to charge a person with a crime and even more to convict.
With that being said, I'm sure the real investigators working this case are tired of the nonsensical tips.

Arrows? Why arrows?

MOO when Hunger games came out it caused a big pick up in bow shooting for rec fun. Especially with under 30's. Creeks offer a good place to shoot, because of the banks for back stops

If you’re imagining the Monon High bridge to similar to a modern bridge that has a solid deck, it’s not like that.

My mind is on a roll today. I believe it was said that Libby took a class at Purdue in regard to forensic science. Was that an online class or did she physically go to a class. Have they checked the other people in that class. Could the perp have known at least one of the victims from that class?

Delphi Daughters: Untold story of Abby & Libby

Its mentioned in this link about Libby attending several classes at Purdue Uni.

Where it really could mess up an investigation is people claiming a false sighting. Even if it was proven wrong, at best they’d only have to claim they were mistaken as nobody can be charged and convicted for having a poor memory.

I think re-enactment may refer to other videos involving actors role playing scenarios that occurred after DTH. I didn’t notice anything in GH’s videos that would lead to false tips at all. Have you?

A reenactment is a reenactment, doesn't matter if there are actors or Sims characters in the video. Nobody but LE knows what actually happened and how it happened, plus - everything on social media (and youtube is social media too) can lead to false tips, people even turned GH in "because he knows too much" and police talked to him because of that (he mentioned this in his videos quite a while back, I stopped watching his videos quite a while ago, so not sure if he mentioned it in the last couple of months as well, but I guess he probably did).

So everything is speculation, here, on youtube, FB, other social media, because only LE knows all the facts.

MOO.

Yes.
And there was an incident in 2010 on CR 300 in front of RL's that has never had the attention it needs.
It is hard to dig it out of the Comet, but its a police calls entry. Since I have lost and found several times I would appreciate help if someone has a link.

IIRC in 2010 Naked woman in road screaming for police and help in 2010. The responding deputy is still Delphi deputy.

I have always thought there needs to be a full search of the whole creek area with cadaver dogs, the ones they use to uncover the long dead and buried, the ones they use to uncover civil war dead.
I've wondered if the latest shift in investigation strategy was because of a new event, such as a girl getting followed by someone resembling the current sketch? Just a thought...

Misty thanks for this perspective, it really helps. That left side is very steep down to the creek while the right side looks easily accessible. I ask because places like this, remote and quiet are a lot of times hangouts for teens. School was out that day and I was wondering what odds were kuds were below that bridge, maybe potential witnesses to something of the events.
Is it the left side of the photo, out of view, where the girls were ordered down? TIA

BG is spewing? There's a video of BG walking the trails? Come on.
Railroad tracks (my bad vocabulary and mistake).

It’s believed to be from the right side, but from the photo the end is not visible. A large portion of the bridge, which actually is a old railway trestle, is high atop of land. As for the trail itself, yes it appears it was a popular area for youth to go but exactly where has never been stated.

“The bridge, which is now just loosely fitted railroad ties, is the second-highest in Indiana at 63 feet high and is also 853 feet long...”
Hikers experience beauty of Delphi Historic Trail

This is also a video, illustrating the actual bridge.

What a proactive way to murder people. Study forensics. Food for thought, thanks.

Good gawd... over 42,000 in email tips, walk ins and calls since the inception of the email and tip line. Yikes. BG watch out!

Delphi-Since the news briefing on April 22, 2019, the Multi-Agency Task Force has received over 2,600 emails, 506 calls to the tip line and an additional 145 calls and or walk-ins to local police departments and state police posts around the state. The total amount since the inception of the email and tip line is over 42,000.

That’s a staggering number.

I’d be curious to know how many came from the general area, and how many came from other states.

Someone in the community has the best chance of providing valuable information.

Yes. A younger gal from Delphi was on here briefly ten months after the murders and elaborated about the so-called "BOBs" (Bottom Of Bridge). Her comments start here:

Found Deceased - IN - Abigail Williams, 13, & Liberty German, 14, Delphi, 13 Feb 2017 #77

It doesn’t look to me as if that person was verified to be a younger gal from Delphi. Anonymously, anybody can be whoever they want to be.

ETA: Also notice the coincidental timing to when DN became the prime cyber suspect.

I think that may have already happened with the OBG sketch. MOO.
