I personally have seen deer standing at noon, possibly later, and didn’t run.

MOO deer keep doing what they are doing unless a real reason to run.
FYI Creek must be a deer spot as there is a deer blind by the north end of the bridge.

That was the story told to BP from the person who found the girls.

Just odd that 2 deers would be standing near 2 human bodies, just the sent of humans send them on their way.

Wish the sight and sounds of cars would send them on their way. Lot of cars hitting deer around here!

The searcher was with other people.
IIRC There is a short video the man that found them talking, its a small part of a larger news segment video.

Hey all...so I know this is likely crazy and nothing. But I've been entertaining the idea that BG is now deceased. Well I posted something on another site about it, and a user shared a link to a story about a conversation that a somewhat local had with her uncle, in which her uncle told that BG looked like someone he worked with, he called LE with the tip, they never followed up with him, and the guy had since killed himself. Her uncle was an iron worker.

I did a quick search and found a young man who I think resembles the sketch. His cause of death is not listed in his obit...which CAN mean suicide...the family just doesnt want that out there. But it does say he worked in construction.

Again, I know it's probably nothing, and I'm not looking to out this individual...or post side by sides or the like....but has anyone looked into this? Or have resources to get more info on this individual?
I think it’s very plausible and not crazy at all. MOO
I still think he's local, just not living "in town."
Maybe living in a surrounding area?? I know a wife/gf/parent, could be protecting him or in denial but a neighbor/friend/coworker/classmate wouldn’t. So why hasn’t he been caught? This is why I think he frequents Delphi for work but doesn’t live there and/or lives in a much larger nearby city. MOO

It took the LE 24 hours to say publically that the two bodies found were A&L. All the immediate family were surely available to identify them. It makes me ill to think of the possibilities of the wait.

Legally, doesn't a coroner or medical examiner have to be the one to make identifications, then they notify LE and LE notifies families?

Way way back, when the original BG sketch was released to the public, LE said basically that they would like to know who the person in the sketch was, "even if that person is now deceased" (BBM).
Oh wow, in a weird kind of way, I hope the perpetrator IS alive only so that the families and local residents, not to mention concerned others, can have a chance to find out who he is!

I downloaded a photo of a man who committed suicide in a bordering city in March of 2017. He did look like the sketch (size, etc.).

I agree, he could be from a nearby town as well, but perhaps grew up in Delphi and moved away. Our eldest moved from our small town to a larger town 13 minutes away. As a teen though, he knew the fields and bush very well in our immediate area and I believe BG knows that area very well to feel SO confident to commit this crime in broad daylight in so little time without leaving a trace (as far as we know). John Douglas a former FBI Profiler said this a.m on GMA that Carters new strategy is good and that Carter should have done this strategy a long time ago” and he said this could have been a “solvable case REALLY QUICK”. He went on to say that he has learned over the years that information should be released regarding pre offense behavior and post offense behavior..... Thoughts on these comments by John Douglas.?? My thoughts are of sadness that these things didn’t happen sooner. (You can find the clip online. I’m sorry that I don’t have a link) ** DOUG CARTER is the lead investigator/Indiana.... The person I am referring to is JOHN DOUGLAS, a former FBI profiler who GMA brought in today.
I think he’s Monday morning quarterbacking. Did releasing an extra word, the new sketch or the video solve the case really quick? Nope, no arrest since April 22. Would it have then? IDK, maybe the sketch would’ve, but it was only 2 years ago. It’s not like BG is prepubescent and drastically physically changing in a short period of time. He’s pretty much going to look the same unless he gained 100s of pounds.

TBH I’m biased and I don’t really care for him. Read several of his books when they first came out and liked the first one. Every one after that seemed like he was more about self promoting.

Not meant to be a dig at you. I am a little grouchy today.

I certainly hope he and others that fit the perp's description are being thoroughly investigated. I'm sure LE is looking at deceased men, but I hope there is extensive investigation in this regard!

I'm more inclined to hope he IS dead and then the good people of Delphi could rest a little easier.

eta: having him alive wouldn't change anything IMHO.

That's why they sent the whole case to Georgia State Police a year ago.

They need someone like Michael Rourke. Someone who is logical, reasonably obstinate, but compassionate, too.

No, your not alone. I have always found that odd. I remember someone posting about a shoe being found separate, away from the bodies, so maybe that was the reason. MOO I’m sorry I don’t remember who posted that and I could be remembering wrong.

Early on there was a photo of a pair of light green or bluish tennis shoes underneath the bridge. It was taken after the area was searched. But, I do remember seeing that photo.

I was asked to identify a family member after they were brought DOA to the hospital.

" More like it is close family member and they just have that slight doubt."

if you are not sure the cops have any evidence against your brother or your husband or your son, if you turn them in with your suspicion, and they are not held, then YOUR life is greatly endangered....

if the witness knew the case was a slam dunk, and the perp would be kept in jail, then no problems...

I think it is a much more tragic situation. Imagine turning in your beloved husband, brother or son because your sense of duty overweighs your emotions.

Maybe this morning news show was primarily for further pressure on that “one person” who is afraid to step forward? And the mini official notice update this week. I see this as a building of societal pressure on the friend or family member who in their heart knows. What that person should realize is that we don’t view him/her too many notches above BG — assuming they have long had this inkling, and sat on facts coming together.
I hadn’t read through the thread before I posted the exact same thing about media pressure.

I just figured it might be easier to find out who he is at some point if he is alive. But if they can do so if he is already deceased, more power to them! ;)

Agree :) I just feel for the people of Delphi and surrounding area, always looking over their shoulders, constantly worrying about their children and teens, especially since the focus is on someone from the area. It must be very scary.

They need "cold eyes" on this case. Start from the beginning. Look at everything and everybody. But how do you get that manpower? Many a time, a cold case is solved by the old guard moving out and the new in. Wouldn't it be nice if some former detective with some time on his hands would show up for this challenge? Just dreamin'.
I thought GBI looked at it

Apparently they did, but it didn't appear to help at all. Perhaps another agency could take a look too.

FBI EX-Profiler Douglas mentioned that this was a "high risk
crime ", being carried out during daylight hours in an area where
others were nearby, and this is why they believe Delphi, in general,
is in the killer's comfort zone.
OK let's work backwards....
We know often times these murderers showed a pattern of
misbehaviors and possibly violent maladaptive behaviors earlier
in childhood.
Maybe there were no arrests, or maybe they were caught but a judge ex-punged their record due to age.
So let's go back to their school records. Young boys who were
constantly fighting and unable to 'get along' in school would be on my list of people to check out.
Was perp expelled from school and maybe home-schooled or
just dropped out? Or sent to alternative school or religious school?
School records for age appropriate students should be examined
imo.
Also were any young male students advised to get mental health/
psychiatric evaluations by school counselors?
We know that most perps do have a pattern of bad behavior long
before they act out by killing. Maybe LE has to start doing a
little more digging instead of waiting for the public to hand them the perp.

Skipping over a dozen pages to provide info about a program serving students who don't fit into society in Indiana since 1850:

https://whiteskids.org/about/history/

No idea if there is an alumni FaceBook group, or ClassMates.
No idea how many programs of this type exist(ed) in Indiana.
No idea if involvement in a program of this sort indicates a familiarity with an early Carroll County Child Protective Services building.

JMHO YMMV
