In the general area that day, as I remember, it was bright and sunny, feeling much warmer than the 40degrees you state. Just my opinion

That was my point exactly, that the weather is subjective. What feels warm to you may not feel warm to someone else. A "mild"day for one person could be chilly to someone else.

According to Weather Underground, at 2pm in the Delphi area, the temperature was 41 degrees. At 3pm onward it began dropping down to the low-to-mid 30s. This isn't my opinion, but historical temperature values.

In the image thread a long time ago it was discussed a lot. The Punisher skull logo possibly being the white thing BG had at his neck that could be pulled up over the face. AFAIK we can still discuss what BG is wearing. I haven't seen anyone relate their comments to any one POI specific. He's got something white at his neck that appears to move. Just because a POI owned a goat, did not stop the goat talk. MOO.

How anyone can see a “punisher skull logo,” is beyond me.

If it was that clear, law enforcement would have mentioned it.

A logo that may or may not exist, is flimsy evidence upon which to build any subsequent link.

That’s my point.

I can only remember seeing the one from the 23rd when, at that point, they'd not found a link. If there's been an update then I missed it.

I know that people have ruminated on the girls' social media followers, but what keeps me from seeing a link between SM and their murders is that the timeframe just seems so tight. There's been nothing released to show that anything was mentioned in their social media about going to the park. It's not even been "leaked" as a rumor. In the beginning, though, I really did think that there would be a connection.

I don’t think there is a post about going to the trail, but there could be a SC or KIK message about it. Maybe even a message that they were at the trail when they got there. There would be a record of the fact that a conversation occurred, but the content of the conversation is not saved with SC (not sure about KIK). I’m pretty sure LE would not have had those records back and analyzed before either of these interviews.

I don’t want to keep bringing up SM if it’s been totally discounted and I just can’t find where it has. I do have 18 pages to go in the media thread and will let you guys know if I find anything.

In my opinion, BG has a black with white skull imprint, balaclava on his neck. It was a mild day back in 2017. He may have owned it previously, but choose to wear it that day to disguise himself if needed
IMO, wearing that in the park would have made him stick out like a sore thumb. And I think he wanted to blend in.

40 degrees would be really cold to me so I thought he was dressed appropriately. I do live where it is hotter than the surface of the sun for about 8 months out of the year, so I’m not the best judge of proper attire for February in Indiana.

Jake Patterson did not serve in the military. He dropped out of bootcamp. He didnt earn the title we did the day we walked across that parade deck and were given our EGA'S.

More importantly, they didnt teach us how to breach a door in bootcamp at all. They *certainly* didn't teach us how to breach alone.

What he did was a matter of surprise, luck, and basic planning. His five weeks in bootcamp weren't a benefit in his assault. His history of being a bootcamp drop-out is nothing more than a matter of his past. Don't associate him with our Corps. He is not one of us.

There is nothing about this (Delphi) attack that could indicate a military background or lack of.

Patterson also killed in cold blood, including an unarmed woman, protecting her child. He got chucked out of the boot camp so I completely agree with your sentiments. JP was lucky he didn't immediately get caught, and was outwitted by a child in the end, as was BG, and he will be caught too, as JP was, I am positive.

Which is why I think it was around his neck until he thought he needed it
You don’t think he knew they had already seen him? Do you think he did not plan to kill whoever he attacked that day? Because if he was going to use it to conceal his identity... I don’t think he planned on leaving any witnesses to the actual crime.

It had been cold and overcast for a few days so what was nice about the 13th was that the sun was out and it was pretty. I feel that MSM's reporting of it, however, has been confusing. Sure it was nice-for a winter day in February.

Not only do I see a puppy, but I can tell it’s a mixed breed - lab/husky with one blue eye.

I suppose it's just me (since everything except a kitchen sink has been seen) but I've followed this case for a long time and never once have I thought "let me study this man's image and see what's in/on/hanging off him".

It is amazing what so many have "seen". A kitchen sink hasn't been mentioned... Has it??

I'm of the opinion he may have left his home that day to commit some sort of heinous crime. But not sure what. He took advantage of an opportunity.
Curious, what do you think the white outline is?
I have zero opinion on what it is because the images are too pixelated to give us enough detail to identify anything. When it’s that grainy, I could easily convince myself it could be a lot of things it probably isn’t. So given that it’s impossible to accurately identify that kind of detail when the image quality is so low, I don’t think it’s a productive use of my time to try.

They wouldn't because LE haven't said a lot of things, like it may be a gun in his pocket or a rope in his jacket or a meth mask because they want to keep the details back, or they really don't know. Hence the speculation. Once the perp is arrested, he may have kept some of these items and then they will be important, hopefully. Till then there's speculation.

Agree. It's a flash of white set against something dark that may or may not be black and of which the white may or may not be attached to. If it was identifiable as a picture or logo (someone saw the letter "P" on it and thought it might be a Purdue t-shirt) then I think that's something that would've been denoted by LE.

It's interesting to speculate on it, but the quality of the image is so low that it really can't be seen so it's not worth arguing about.

Ha, you've been reading the image thread. ;-)
