I stick Moo on many of my posts, saves people barking 'quote please ' When six people in a row ask for a quote you will know what we mean!

That's the first thing I think of, as well.

Right before he says that, though, the interviewer is discussing how it happened in such a rural, local area that he expected to recognize the guy (BG) in the photo, but surprisingly didn't. Leazenby then starts to talk about how, in the past, they'd had another double homicide, which turned out to involve the grandchildren, so it was easy to track down the murderers. It's immediately after that he says the quote about the 'twist,' so I'm wondering if maybe at that time the crime appeared random, by a stranger(s), and not someone close to them as is often the case. ???

I believe the past double homicide victims they were talking about were somehow related to BP. Not sure the exact relation. I don’t know if that is a twist, but it’s weird.

I hate saying this, but if you cut into the carotid artery and your heart is pumping at an accelerated rate due to fear and anxiety, it really doesn't take that long.

Even that would not drain the body of blood. Once the heart stops beating, blood stops moving through the circulatory system. There would be some expelling outside the body, but not the entire volume of blood.

At any rate, to my knowledge no one has reported sounds of screaming or distress that day. The only unusual "sound" I can recall being mentioned was of a couple arguing somewhere beneath the bridge.

Going "down the hill", the 3 (BG and girls) could have been somewhere beneath the bridge. If one girl wasn't able (or didn't want) to make a sound, then the witness would have heard "a couple" arguing, a man and a girl, might have been BG and Libby. If Libby had time and courage for a fight, she also would have had time and courage to yell angrily. So, I imagine, there weren't any fearful screams.
AFAIK, "the couple arguing" wasn't identified by LE. AFAIK, we didn't learn, if the witness could remember part of the content of this dispute. Perhaps the witness heard single words and they sounded like being "intimate" and words, "a couple" would have a reason to use. MOO

Then he must have gagged them because the sound would have carried, and surely someone would have heard it? There were other hikers that day? Confusing.

Amateur opinion and speculation

Yes, I have always thought he immediately silenced them, first with the brandishing of a weapon (surprise) follower by rope (chokers) as they tried to get away? MOO ...

This case so frustrates me. My mind goes in circles with the several POI I wonder about. I remember being at work the night I first saw the picture of BG,who was then someone LE "would like to talk to" in case he knew anything.

Since then I have followed daily (and nightly) each of the various LE interviews, family TV airings, major press conferences, and many of the podcasts and YouTube presentations (following the better ones, trying to avoid the overly sensationalized) and ...

I so wish this case would be resolved and I do believe it will be. I can only surmise that LE have a tangled web of DNA issues to work through along with perhaps other legal issues (an example would be- if BG is under arrest already for another crime it gives LE time to continue investigating THIS crime so no big hurry) ... OR perhaps they are awaiting results on some new evidence that has come to light since the recent change of direction in the case, hence starting from the beginning again waiting for DNA results or other forensics... (...While BG is being surveilled?...)

WHO is Hiding in plain sight ... ? This I want to know. Someone who was there all along, from the beginning, but was considered just a part of the community, never realized to be BG, likely involved in discussions very early on or at least privvy to those discussions, someone trusted, never suspected.

The Shack references strongly suggest someone in the religious community. Or is there an Actual Shack somewhere that has a tie to this case somehow (a place where kids met up, talked...) and what was the BBR search all about in those very earliest days, does that have renewed significance?

So many questions. I want answers. I appreciate each of you here, keeping the faith, keeping hope alive for justice for these girls. I appreciate all of your various contributions and speculations as to how this all went down, and why, and most importantly- trying to close in on WHO is this Hiding in Plain Sight Psychopath BG?

Was looking at horse-related gear online such as "Lead Ropes and Long Lines" wondering anew if BG had some kind of ropes on a stick or handled rope devices under his jacket ...

mulling over everyones posts almost daily since this happened absorbing all we have there is one component that strikes me as really important and a big clue as to who they are looking for.

LE have made no alerts to the greater community that they should be scared and taking precautions to not be alone and look out for everybody.

if BG was a random predator wouldn't this be expected and warranted????????????

I am warming rapidly to the girls were targeted. catfished maybe.

and if such a predator unknown to the girls he is, why hasn't he attacked before/since???
a huge horrific crime like this...a one off????
with no connection or reason.
they imply he is local.
LE do not suggest he is a danger to the public. just he is hiding in plain sight.

this just does not sit with me for a 'random' wrong place wrong time scenario.

imo….just more musings and speculation!

Hmmm... Maybe something personal about the crime/scene made LE immediately think it was SO personal that general public was not in danger ... and Maybe there was an obvious SM connection right off the bat that caused them to question someone who explained it away so well that LE dismissed it ... now they are investigating that very someone?

Yes it’s quite telling that there is little concern for general public safety....why is this? Why are the LE not concerned he will offend again?

Why from the very start did they not think BG a threat to the general public? Did he SAY something on the audio that revealed that this was personal to these victims only? Or was something left at the scene or done at the scene as a kind of calling card or indicator to show that this was personal?

I did get the feeling from the start LE thought BG not a threat to others...

I came across a presso and only thing stated was when asked if the public should be alarmed and worried he would leave it up to them on that. (to that effect)

IMHO, it was noted in many articles and more quietly expressed within the community. Residents of Delphi and the general area were (and probably still are) terrified. moo
