You are right. Not once have I heard about the situations of DV ending up in someone being killed, when the neighbors called the police not when the victim was still live and yelling, but when she’d stop yelling.

And today “the bystander effect” is seen more often, when kids and adults make videos of someone being tortured or beaten up, and put them out on the Internet. Why don’t they intervene? Because people around them are making videos, too.

As to the after part, I think on top of everything, people have different facial memory. 1:50 has prosopagnosia, or facial blindness. Probably more have partial prosopagnosia. One hopes for a super witness, with excellent facial memory, but it is an uncommon thing.

ETA: is it possible that some potential witnesses walked the Trails looking at their phone screens? And simply saw nothing?

Except for the person that advised NOT Blue eyes. Does any one realise how close you have to be to a person to be able to say Not Blue Eyes. You must be face to face and it is noticeable. This is not something you can assume from a distance.

I don't know if that's true or not but for the record there's ALOT of urban legends about the dark/deep web. They are basically a genre of creepypasta at this point.
Thank you for clearing that up...I use the TOR browser quite a bit..If I'm not mistaken TOR is considered the "DEEP WEB" and is safe to use..Now the "DARK WEB" is a different story...I don't visit, don't want to visit, don't even want to know how to visit. Here's a link explaining the difference in detail....The Deep And Dark Web – We Shed Some Light On Safely Accessing It

I wonder, each and every day, what is the deal with the OBG v. NBG sketches. I wish LE could somehow shed some light on this as it might help those in Delphi/surrounding towns to offer up some info that might be of use if they better understood the odd disparity between the two sketches. I don't accept that LE simply went with the wrong sketch for 2 years. I think there is something more going on here.
Right...and the conflicting statements about disregarding the OBG sketch, making the OBG secondary...then turning around and saying when the perp is caught, he could look somewhere in between the OBG and NBG sketches. The whole thing is...well...”sketchy”.

I keep wondering the same I’m still baffled by the last press conference. Hopefully we will know one day once he is arrested.

I have my own theory as to why the FBI was in on the investigation so early on. I think what ever was found at the murder scene, the way in which the victims were killed and left to be found, was obviously planned out with purpose. Local and state LE most likely took one look and thought serial killer. That's MOO
Totally agree. There have been rumors about how they were murdered and staged that would lead you to believe the serial angle. This could potentially mean it’s not a local guy and could be national. I think the FBI at this point should take the lead on this. It’s been 2.5 years.

I don't know how much it's been discussed on Websleuths since we can't name folks not already named as suspects in MSM, but I have definitely seen it discussed at length elsewhere. It is certainly not an aspect that has been ignored by any means.
Agree--we cannot name folks but there have been a few that would fit

He may be deceased. If they have his DNA, they should still be able to find his name. I am afraid that “critical” relative in Gedmatch might be deceased, and died before Gedmatch changed its rules. So his DNA is not viewable.
Correct== January 2018 is when Indiana change the law from "Convicted felony" to Arrest---so anything before that time, if they were arrested, but NOT convicted ..they would NOT have swabbed for DNA

This is the case of Taylor Placker and Skyla Whittaker, murdered by Kevin Sweat. He did say he shot them because he thought they were monsters but I doubt he is telling the truth about that. There actually WAS evidence that there was a sexual motivation to this crime though there was no sexual assault per se. There was evidence that one of the girls had been undressed, shot in the groin and redressed afterwards.

I'm glad you brought this up because it is important to remember for the sake of the Delphi discussion that when men are angry at women they often choose to take their anger out in sexual ways. It points at the motivation of BG.
I am more interested in the "DOUBLE murders of 2 girls" .. I had not heard of this one. Whether SA motivated or not, I am trying to connect double murders of young teenagers.

Agreed, i think he was planning it for ages. I think he's likely not from Delphi or even Indiana but he either stayed there as a kid or had a relative who he visited, but he's probably not had that connection in 10+ years which is why no one remembers him (this and most of this post is an assumption of course). He probably watches and reads a lot about murders and has went to lengths as best as he can to make this a tough case to solve, doing the attack in an area he knows well but no longer has a connection to would be a good move in that regard. He's probably a paedophile who watches a lot of child 🤬🤬🤬🤬 and maybe even has convictions for it but not in Indiana, in Chicago or wherever he's from and through that he uses something like TOR and has been for a long time meaning he knows what he's doing with it, using TOR he stalked various Delphi childrens Social Media which makes it difficult to track him down especially if he didn't engage any of them then he's got the perfect opportunity with Abby and Libby going to the trail. That or he knew of the trail when he previously lived there and he knew children often went there (i know it's been said children don't often go there but i've heard the opposite too, plus maybe they did 10+ years ago when he was a kid) so he went and lucked out.
Of course this is full of assumptions and is based on so little, i've changed my mind so much on this case and any release of information could easily make me do a 180. That's just the type of story that satisfies all my questions best right now.
I could go along with this EXCEPT LE stated BG "lived in Delphi, Worked in Delphi or has ties to Delphi.
"quote- We also believe this person is from Delphi- currently, or has previously lived here, visits Delphi on a regular basis, or works here. We believe this person is currently between the age range of 18 and 40, but might appear younger than his true age. "

It wont ever be solved. What many of you dont get is majority of people who struggle in life dont have any interest in cooperating or putting effort into solving some 2.5 year old murder. They need to eat. They need to make sure lights are on. They have different priorities than people who are well off wishing some murder was solved.

Well. Tell that to my friends and neighbors who just informed this past weekend that I have been "anti-social" lately because they havent seen me around lately. It is because I have spent my time researching and looking up cases on POI's and traveling to Delphi ..etc. TRUE, I cant do it during the day because I work to Pay the bills and make sure my Lights are on and have food to eat. But in my off time, I try to give what I can to this case. Oh...and I am not "well off"..I wish I was well off, but I work and pay the bills like everyone else.

You shouldnt because if you actually did research and actually put 2 and 2 together you would know what happened. There is also a difference between human beings who participate in illegal activities and people who work hard to take care of their own.

If I did a documentary on Delphi Indiana and truly delivered some reality, I bet this thread would end.

Midwest United States is worse than people think when it comes to opioids and other things. The craziest 🤬🤬🤬🤬 goes down in midwest because it's the middle man for entire America.

I hope and think your wrong. He is going to get caught he will get arrested for something (hopefully nobody will be harmed) or forensic testing will produce the lead they need. I don’t know how long it will take but he is not going to get away with double murder his “luck” is going to run out.

Correct== January 2018 is when Indiana change the law from "Convicted felony" to Arrest---so anything before that time, if they were arrested, but NOT convicted ..they would NOT have swabbed for DNA

I am talking about the opposite situation. We have more felons' DNAs, but way fewer than used to be in Gedmatch.

Gedmatch is an open database where anyone tested in commercial ancestry systems (e.g., FTDNA, 23@me, Ancestry, MyHeritage), can download his raw DNA, to compare with the relatives tested in other commercial systems. It actually is for genealogy. Free and easy.

However, after GSK was caught using his old DNA and Gedmatch matches, there were questions about the legality or running DNAs of criminals against some people without their knowledge. That led to outflow of clients from Gedmatch. Gedmatch now has migrated on a slightly different platform, transferred all DNAs there (it was mostly done to accommodate new clients tested on V5 chip of 23@me and had nothing to do with GSK or other cases). Now you have to specially "opt in" if you want your DNA be accessible not only to genealogists but to LE as well. Otherwise, your DNA stays in Gedmatch, it can be used to find DNA relatives, but is "invisible" for the LE.

Everyone who is in Gedmatch may answer this question about "opting in" for himself. I usually tell people, if you don't want to make your own DNA "visible", but your older parents/relatives were tested, opting them in is enough.

But there were people who may have downloaded their DNA several years ago, and died afterwards. They can't opt in. They are invisible. Gedmatch changed their rules in March, or April of 2019.

Had the Indiana LE worked with the Parabon since 2017, they'd have better chance at finding matches for the perp's DNA. Now the pool of comparable samples has dwindled.

(And I don't know if they ever worked with the Parabon, or considered it. But the LE did have the time to achieve something through genealogy, in 2017-2018).

... and they may not feel compassion for some old methead, but they do feel sorry for two young girls who were clean, smart, and had the chance to escape Delphi. A chance so brutally cut off.

So you think that this is related to opioids and ‘other things’? I’m hoping you can expand on your theory. And why you think it won’t be solved.

Midwest United States is worse than people think when it comes to opioids and other things. The craziest **** goes down in midwest because it's the middle man for entire America.
