Yes, they are looking to have a big storyline so put a spin on it….I still hold out hope regarding JBC but I certainly can understand Kelsi being annoyed with various social media posts saying things like, Did you hear they caught that Delphi killer?

just want to point out tho that it’s typical Daily Fail fare, where someone else’s reporting (here, the recent podcast) is taken & spun into unsupported but far more interesting headlines/ conclusions.
Nothing new in this piece - Kelsi DID NOT say BJC is not the one - if anything she said she wouldn’t know as LE isn’t sharing info with her. The closest she came to saying he’s not the one is “There is no suspect in custody in this case,” which everyone knows & is undisputed.

Daily fail did the same thing with the original story on the 9-yo victim, describing her IIRC as ‘covered in dog bites’ or likewise when there was nothing else reported suggesting even multiple bites let alone ‘covered’

I so agree and I'm glad that it is recognized the way the DM does this by "borrowing" other reports and sensationalizing/re-intepreting what is said in the most sensational way possible. I think all of their reporting on Delphi needs to be viewed in the same lens - i.e. that very little of it, if any, is original reporting and some of it may be very loose interpretation of the actual facts or even totally made up.
IMO - no one here can say, as no one commenting here was FB friends with him at the time. His public postings may be different to a previous or future pattern, but the public, undeleted ones are all we see. What he may have posted privately, commented on, what content he may have deleted, or how he participated in groups (if any) is absolutely unknown to the general "us." No doubt LE knows, however.

I absolutely agree with everything you've said here.
There is no possibility of L.E. risking the integrity of their investigation into J.B.C. or anyone else for that matter. Hence, the "we're checking into him as we would anyone else".
In my opinion, the L.E. (including F.B.I.) may have been able to connect J.B.C. to the Delphi Murders or other crimes.
Maybe, maybe not - we shall see.
The investigation team has not leaked any information in 4 years and they are not about to now.
Just my opinions.

I agree with others that JBC's photo is the first one that gave me pause, thinking he could truly be BG. I agree that LE wouldn't say much one way or the other to family at this point as they don't want to get any hopes up or give the wrong impression.
But I hope that it's him and they can finally bring justice. Or if it's not him..maybe he knows something about it. Given what he's done, he may have friends who are similar to him/capable of doing something like BG has done.

IMO, I don't think that there is going to be any information released by LE on JBC in relation to Abby and Libby until AFTER the trial/deposition for his current case happens. Especially since it seems to be moving quickly towards trial and (again imo) I can't imagine that he has any logical defense.
I can't do links right now, but several msm sources have LE repeatedly stating that if they just have a "name", or the "who", they can figure out the rest. I would think that LE knows by now whether JBC is actually a suspect

Carter said in his last interview on People Investigates Delphi, the last piece of the puzzle is someone tipping in a name. I've tried to ponder, what else besides DNA or fingerprints could link someone personally to evidence. I'm assuming it has to do with signatures or weapon (possibly handmade by a certain profession), or something like a foreign (to the area) material or animal hair. Or maybe it is DNA or fingerprints and they just haven't gotten a hit which could by why they also suggested the possibility that he hasn't offended before.

The oft-mentioned ask is for somebody who knows the identity of the killer, the last piece of the puzzle, but I’d think that would have to involve more than just a name. Otherwise surely anyone giving LE somebody’s name must have reason to suspect he’s the murderer.
I have to confess that this has always puzzled me. It’s like LE having said, “We know Mr. X is doing these serial murders, if only someone would come forward and say, His name is Ted Bundy, it would be solved.”
Usually they simply don’t know who the killer is, and then he gets caught in the act, they find evidence at his residence and in his car, and now they also know his name (Ted Bundy, Night Stalker, Son of Sam). To say you have everything but the name is baffling.

JMO but I think when LE says ‘we just need one more piece of the puzzle’ or ‘all we need is a name’ ..... it doesn’t mean anything but that they think or hope those statements will somehow help close the investigation. They’re trying to EG psych out the killer, not get the truth of the investigation out to the public ... MOO
But wouldn’t that make the killer think they really don’t have anything? (Like it’s just false bravado)

I guess so, but it’s just very disturbing that a supposed local in a town with a small population would leave audio/video behind after a brazen and heinous murder of 2 minors, and walk free for 4+ years. Very disconcerting. I can only imagine what the family is enduring.
It’s sad that you can see Libby in Kelsi. She would probably look very much like her now.

I agree with you 100% on that. I thought it would be solved quickly between the audio and video, and like you said - small town. I also thought Elizabeth Barraza's murder would be solved quickly since it was caught on a neighbor's home surveillance but no luck there yet either.
Just trying to make sense of LE's wording about needing that one piece or needing a name. I'm just thinking that if they were given a name on a tip, etc, maybe they feel they could definitely connect them or rule them out with whatever evidence they have.
