Maybe someone behind the "Anthony shots" profile posted a picture on social media from the bridge area and the girls recognized the area and went to see if he was still there. It might not have been a planned meeting, but more of a spontaneous "let's go see and look for him" thing.
I previously thought the girls posted a picture on SM and BG saw it and showed up, but I think the timeline is too tight now for that.
That's an interesting idea. It also could have been something that L and A thought might impress a_shots (or whomever else).

I'm still unsure why a dedicated tip line (for A & L's murder) would be used for the a_shots tips unless there was some kind of connection. Seems like it would complicate the investigation process immensely, if unrelated.

That's a great thought. It's much more plausible than a secret meetup with, as far as we know, no trail. There wouldn't have to be any recent interaction with this theory. And it being last minute would reduce that chance of either girl telling someone about the plan.

Hi, I’ve been very busy with work, and just getting to watch the video now and catch up.

I’m not even a minute in yet, but first thing I’m noticing is the moving train with Maersk containers. I also noticed a moving train in another recent video. Just noting as observation.

Wow, 1:28, I haven’t seen that before, have you guys? Sorry for what I’m sure is rehash. I look forward to going back and reading!!

So far there is some good footage, including one shot showing razor wire and field, and LE vehicles, among other shots. I’d love to watch this in slow motion, right now I’m pausing every few seconds to look at the terrain shots. It’s going to take a long time to get through this at this rate.

“They’re watching. We’ll meet him soon.”
-DC

(also, reminder to self to post thoughts about DC saying in other video that if he could ask BG one question, it would be “why?”)

— showing train again.

* The girls were so adorable. Their videos are precious. ❤️

It looks like I’m going to have a lot of notes, so will make in separate document and post when finished. I look forward to reading everyone’s posts over the past week as well.

Also, here are some other recent videos from YT feed, haven’t watched them yet, likely already posted:

In the beginning, many posters, not including myself, felt BG was an older guy because they felt he was wearing grandpa jeans.

In actuality, the girth of BG forced him to purchase jeans that would fit his midriff making the length too long forcing the legs of the jeans to bunch up around the knees and ankles. His jeans were not the popular skinny fit rather they are for what I'll call jeans for a Big Dude.

In any case, I think BG wore jeans that he wouldn't mind tossing in case any blood could not be washed out of them. I've heard meat tenderizer helps remove dried blood but have never needed to try it. All of that bulge of the buttons on the blue jacket, and where it kinda hangs over his jeans, is due to being chubby and not because he's carrying a puppy or copious amounts of killing supplies.

I don't think he needed more than a firearm for control, a knife for the dirty deeds and perhaps zip ties to bind the girls together until they reached the kill spot. All items that would easily fit inside his pockets.

If KAK shopped at WalMart, the closest locations to Peru are in Wabash and Logansport with either being about a 20 minute drive. At least one of the witnesses claimed he was wearing a scarf that partially covered his face. That may be why the 2nd sketch does not have the facial hair of the 1st sketch. Could this scarf be the white thingy we see in the image?

Re: “In the beginning, many posters, not including myself, felt BG was an older guy because they felt he was wearing grandpa jeans”, I still feel this way, jmo. And in fact, it still stands out to me when watching the clip, the bunching at the bottom. Jmo.

Watching it again. About 11 minutes in Carter is asked about the access to the crime scene area and the killer's prior experience in getting to that spot. Carter's reply is that simply any rural area in Indiana has multiple routes of access. He doesn't address how familiar the killer is with the area and finishes by saying he isn't going to talk about it. Huh!?? Not going to talk about it after his one lead investigator, 1st Sgt Holeman has talked about it and Sheriff Leazenby has talked about it. Both stating it was likely the killer was very familiar with the area from the killer's past. Even family members have stated there are locals who weren't familiar with area, so how is it this killer knew his way around.

I don't know what it is about Doug Carter but he just doesn't fill me with any confidence at all in regards to this case. He tends to say a lot in interviews without saying anything at all. 5 years later and we're still getting the same soundbites.

It is a very odd response. He seems to only want to talk about what he wants, and he wants to be the star. That’s the feeling I’m getting from him. But I could be sooo far off in that opinion. moo.

And I’m kind of leaning towards agreeing with whoever said that they believe that some of LEOs have differing opinions.
**ETA: And I wonder if this is why some give more details, and DC doesn’t address some questions directly.

Sometimes I feel like it’s a word salad. I hope he doesn’t do it purposely.

World salad is exactly what it is. It's the same things being repeated by him but just said in a different way or manner.

I just happened to see someone today walking in a pair of jeans that were loose at the ankle and they do flap around- this was a person with no real obvious gate problem or weight problem.... in a lot of wind, loose bottomed jeans flap around IMO.

JMO: I think you meant "in the last decade" as hyperbole, but have you seen the younger photos of him? The arrest photo shows a LOT of weight gain from 2018 and an earlier photo, see link:
https://kuzenski.org/wp-content/uploads/2021/12/kak-sizes-01.jpg

KAK may well be physically capable of committing this crime, but, IMO, even in pictures of him closer to the time of the murders, his hips are wider than BG’s. BG looks to me like he has thin(ish) hips and a big belly, like some men who were thin in their teens and twenties start to develop in their mid-30s.

Maybe something to consider:

Since the Anthony Shots profile was revealed, I don't see any appeals to the public for information on the killers identity. There are no more directives about watching the video, the killers movements , or if anyone recognizes the voice.
They are only asking for people to share information about contacts with the AS profile.

To me, it seems like they no longer need certain types of information.
They already have it.

Same, I’m sure the initial height estimate of 5’6” was pretty spot on. Most jeans are easy to find the correct length unless you’re super short or super tall and they aren’t bunched at the bottom because he has a 36” inseam, I’m guessing based on the video and photo that his inseam is around 28” and the shortest jeans readily available have a 30” inseam. @DeDee, I always thought that the white thing around his neck might be the scarf that some of the whitnesses are describing. Maybe one of these tube-things you use when skiing that you Can have around you neck as a scarf or pull up around the lover part of your face or even further up to cover you head and ears. If this is the case I think the white that we see is some kind of pattern, maybe stribes, on the fabric that makes people see different things like robe or dogs or goats and what not.

Agree. This is actually some of the things about this case that I find very weird (among many other things) - the communication from LE, and DC in particular. With all these snippets of hints and eluding information, I sometimes get the feeling that this is one of these movies, where you are served snippets of information throughout the movie, some which are relevant and some which are irrelevant, and while watching you try to put the pieces together and guess who the killer is. That makes me feel sad cause this is not a TV show, something horrible happened here to real people.
Where I am from LE will never communicate like this. They will give Press conference with only the facts that they can share and they never share their speculations. They will usually not give interviews to media while the active investigation is ongoing.
Is this LE communication common in the US or uniqe to this case?

Yes! I own several. They're called infinity scarves. A couple of mine have a small pocket inserted into the seam so an ID or debit card can be placed inside. BG could have carried some type of tool or anything, really, inside a pocket of his scarf, if it had one. I also agree the scarf has a subtle pattern in the fabric.
