Can you describe this a bit more? Is it an app? I'd like to set that up.
It’s not an outside app. It’s built in to both IPhones and Androids. On an android you go to settings, privacy and emergency, and then set up your SOS preferences. You can google sos settings for Iphone since all I know there is that it’s available.

Mine sends the audio and picture of what the phone sees in the moment I do the 3-click and then a google map of my exact location at that moment.

All this rambling is to say .... I’ve argued myself back into believing LE truly is getting close! Fingers crossed the arrest will come today!!

I am hopeful that they are not starting at zero. I think and am hopeful that they want the perp to think they are.

After studying the pic of BG for QUITE some time last night (and after being predictably freaked out by doing it so late), I made a couple of observations.

First, I think the pic needs to be stretched lengthwise to get a truer image (something about the angle or image itself is making him look squatter than he is). Also, as many others have said, he is unusually layered up with clothing and it's making him look bulkier. When you look at the sleeve of his right arm, the sleeve has significant extra material. It kind of looks like if I wear my boyfriend's oversized jacket and have to push up the sleeve a lot.

Also, I looked at the image using many different Instagram filters. The X-Pro II filter really highlighted the object in his right pocket. I agree with the posters who said it looks like a gun. I was skeptical at first, but look at the image using this particular filter and you will clearly see what I mean.

What's on top of his head is debatable. Some see a hat (as I did at first). Others swear this is not a hat and now I'm starting to agree that this is another attempt by him to disguise himself. I think it's a very, very bad hairpiece or wig. And this gives me the feeling that it's this that caused Libby to take his picture. I know a lot of kids will take people's pics in public not because they are afraid (which of course, could still have been the case here), BUT she may have been taking his picture because he looked just plain WEIRD.

Then, I isolated looking at the right side of his face and then just the left side of his face. Folks, don't do this late at night if you want to have a good night's sleep!

Thank you to everyone for this thoughtful and intelligent discussion. I hope there is a resolution and justice will come soon.

All of the above is JMHO.
Thank you for your insights. I did the same after reading this and have a couple of observations. First, even though it looks like he has a mustache the sketch doesn't show one and so I believe we are seeing something different. That idea combined with the thing on his head, which doesn't really seem like his hood since it seems down behind his head, maybe due to the wind, and added to what many have seen as a part and a cowlick or whirl, lead me to think he was covered with something like a balaclava. I haven't found exactly one that I think matches but something like this. I have noticed some have a single seam on top in the middle and some have 2 seams on top. And I often notice even on the models they pouf up slightly on top. I have seen some that allow more of the face to be open, adjustable, and those seem to dish out at the top forming almost a small bill when they are more open. I think it explains what looks like shifting shadows across his face. It may also explain that his voice seems slightly muffled or rougher as some people hear it. It certainly seems as a distance and with poor clarity from zooming in it could be mistaken for hair. It is also a motorcycle accessory if anyone read my previous post. What if the vehicle parked at the office was a bike?

I don't see any details, either. The only thing I see is that, at one point, his head does slightly turn and it appears that his mouth is moving. But, as you say, he could've been talking or chewing (or even spitting).

As someone explained earlier, the image was of low quality and is missing pixels. Enhancing the photo any further is, at this point, going to make the image lose integrity. LE has stated that what they've released is the best quality that is possible out of these images. They literally ran the image through the best photo editing equipment we have in this country-programs that are not available to the public. They've released height, weight, and hair color. If there were other attributes that might be important for the people in his life to recognize him by then IMO they would've released that information too.

I missed hair color. What is it?

I just listened to the podcast where Kelsi talks. Have we ever seen/has A photo of Libby been released fro my hat day? Libby would be leaning down on the Highbridge? Kelsi, Libby’s sister, referenced that she “showed the police the Snapchat from her phone of the photo of Abby at the end of the bridge at 2:07 PM and a photo of Libby leaning down of Highbridge “
Did she say leaning or looking? Because the 2nd photo that went on SC at that time was a long look down the length of the bridge. Quite artful.

Reddish brown.

The person depicted in the composite sketch is described as a White male between 5'6" and 5'10", weighing 180 to 220 pounds, with reddishbrown hair. His eye color is unknown. The suspect is believed to be between 18 and 40 years old but may appear younger.

IMHO, not really. Others aren't WS members with excellent reputations on this site.

There was a poster with an "excellent reputation" also on this site that frequented a different thread and he ended up being arrested for crimes against children. Not saying GH is a criminal but on a message board, one never really knows who is at the other end of the keyboard.

Yes. The case I can't recall the name of, the wife was trrrified to come forward because she thought they wouldn't believe her. He had told her he killed someone, IIRC. It took her awhile to come forward.

Someone else must recall that case? The man gave an arrogant interview to the show host and he was of South Asian descent.

Becky referred to BG as being "creepy" in the Facebook Q & A interview she hosted with Tara German long ago. This is the pertinent excerpt from the transcript:

Question: "Did Libby text Mike [Patty]?"

Becky: "Libby did not text Mike - I searched phone records to confirm this - Mike does not use Messenger or messages on Facebook. She was heard on the audio she turned on as BG was spotted coming towards them. They were talking about that creepy guy they'd seen earlier."
Earlier means before they crossed the bridge, right? So they had to have come across him between being dropped off and getting on the bridge. And there's 23 minutes between the Snapchat photo and the time LE is giving as the time the video of BG was shot.
How long does it take to cross the bridge?

And how the hell can you sit there with a straight face and release a sketch from 2 years ago now? For whatever reason...

Moving in a new direction they call it. What? Is this a video game? Where you can just start over? Mind boggling.

Because they're trying to solve a difficult case. That's how. After thousands of hours of investigation they've now determined that sketch is the perp.

It could be because they got a Parabon DNA profile. Or another witness stepped forward. Or suddenly recalled something. Or tons of work profiling led them to believe that sketch (of the younger guy) was accurate. Or a combination.

I can think of various reasons why they would release it now.

And why not two years ago? Well most everyone thought BG was an older dude. The first sketch released certainly seemed to match the images of BG fairly well. The second image frankly, does not, IMO. Yes, some are suddenly clearly seeing this guy as matching the second sketch (I don't at all, BTW) but as another poster pointed out, suggestibility is a factor.

It makes sense to me they would've discounted the witness who saw someone acting oddly because he appeared too young and didn't match the images they had. And there could've been other reasons they discounted that sketch and went with the other instead.

This is a real investigation. It's not tv.

After silence for so long, to come out with this, which was the work of the Delphi Police, Carroll County Sheriff's, Indiana State Police and FBI, I have renewed confidence in the investigation. They're not stopping.

Linking Gray's videos should be fine. As a matter of fact, some are linked by Tricia in the first post. moo
What name does GH go by on WS??

So I have been thinking (way overthinking, I have turned into a complete armchair detective over this case) and am writing all this to help clear up my mind and have a few questions!

If LE had enough evidence to arrest and knew who he was/where he was, they would arrest. Right?? Not do a PC hoping for the person to turn themselves in first....who cares. Why be nice, why give him a chance to run. The PC would have been about an arrest.

If they knew who the person was and that he did it, but not where he was, there would be a manhunt with his name released. Like with Hannah Graham. Right?

Ok, so, here is my question/confusion. How much does LE need to know about the sketched man to post it publicly? Do they need to have enough evidence to arrest that person if they find him as they are stating him as the killer? Like would it be some sort of slander to post a picture just for more leads because they *think* he is the killer and want to see what comes out of it?

I have been thinking LE came back to that sketch for a big reason and then had an "Aha" moment when they recognized the face. Or they always knew the face, but he had been cleared. Either way...why not arrest?? Not enough evidence is what I thought - they need more from tips - but if they have enough evidence to change the sketch and say this IS the killer, what more could they need?

So that makes me go back to thinking they DO NOT know this killer's name or family. They couldn't have so much on him to do that PC, but not enough to get him without more tips. Or am I wrong about that?

I hope what I am asking makes sense. Basically can they put a sketch up because they haven't gotten enough evidence from their main suspect or do you need enough evidence to arrest to put a sketch out in the first place.

Whether or not there is any profit generated elsewhere, and regardless of any of our opinions on that, there is no profit being made from his activities, posting, and contributions to our discussions here on WS, is there? Not sure it's relevant. Seems more productive to either be grateful for his posts, to report if you feel they violate TOS in any way, or to scroll & roll. Fellow WSer-bashing seems counterproductive and distracting, no?

JMHO. Moo moo moo.
I am unsure how I bashed anyone, I simply stated ones speculating is of no higher viability then anyone else's.

Is it possible that no one is covering for BG? I know a handful of people who have lost their parents and have no close friends, no spouse, no significant other, not even a roommate... I don't necessarily mean they are loners either. They are active in the community but have no one they are close with. My point is, if no one is specifically covering for them, all of the tips in the world about how the sketch looks like so-and-so aren't going to help.

honestly i think that's possible even if he DOES still have parents or a parent and also friends/roommates and people he is close with. Some people who have friends and family tend to not necessarily be loners, but just tend to do their own thing without always letting those close to them know. I have parents and close friends, but i'm also independent and i'm not keeping them updated all the time on what i'm doing or planning to do. On any given day if you asked them where i was and what i was doing at XX time on XX day they'd be utterly clueless.

Harmony posted "STOP" warning earlier today.

HG Investigates videos are very easy to find-- just by description.

The problem today as the case heats up in the news is that
non-credible sources are taking liberty with his and even MSM videos-- adding narration and/or editing, and these are definitely not approved for posting. And it takes a few days to get the copyright violators shut down.

When in doubt, ask a Mod for approval.

I’m trying and trying to catch up..

I just now got to the part on the last thread that the two sketches are NOT the same guy! WHAT? We were asking store owners to hang fliers of the sketch and barcode with the voice clip for 2 years... of the WRONG person?

Please - can someone briefly tell me what is going on?

I always wondered too if they passed each other and BG did a 180 and B-lined it across the bridge to catch up to them.

If you go though the friends list of both girls on Facebook, you will see 50 men that look like BG. I think we are all looking too hard to find this guy :(

You're right. It's not going to be someone who doesn't know him or have contact with him, who finds him. And if anyone thinks LE hasn't poured over every news video of people in the area talking, searching, getting on camera, and vetted those people, listen: That's just not realistic.
