I agree. There might be two perps. I also feel its not the first time for them as well. It could be two people and of course they would cover for each other. The witnesses that seen these two could be that they weren't supposed to be there. They ditched work. Did someone mention that there is a chicken processing businesses? Could it have been a lunch break or something? IDL Anyone else wonder this same thing?
BBM That was supposed to be IDK. Sorry

There used to be a way to see which staff members were online. Did that option disappear?

My honest opinion delete your post that you just made asking and then report on it and ask your question @NameUser never ask on the board

ETA and be patient as mods are busy and it may take some time for them to respond

Honestly when this case started I thought it was highly likely that the perp likely had some connection to the girls.

As the days, months and then years have gone by I find it more and more unlikely that they had any idea who this individual was

And currently I think its almost a certainty that they had no idea who this guy was

Interesting, my opinion is the opposite. Immediately following the tragedy I presumed there was some sort of connection between the killer and at least one of the girls. Then for a time it seemed the search went nationwide so I presumed it was a stranger. But now with the focus back on Delphi I’ve come full circle. But I might change my mind again.

It's very neutral and common where I live. I interact with kids all the time in my job and use "guys" when speaking to a group of girls. I also use it frequently when talking to female relatives, and even the exact tone that BG uses, I've used when younger female relatives are doing something they shouldn't be doing.
Ditto. I have used "guys" as a catch-all phrase for years. Perhaps it depends on geographical area, but it is very common wherever I have lived.
ETA: i have used that terminology "guys" when addressing only my 3 daughters! I have only lived in western states, though, so....

My premise is that familiar murders are the easiest to solve and based on past experiences following cases, the longer it goes the more likely it was a committed by a random stranger.....JMO

ETA: If there was any connection whatsoever to be discovered, with the massive LE resources in this case a connection would have been made rather swiftly

Here is something that I can not fathom.

Her dad called pretty soon, maybe she was alive. No answer, and with all subsequent calls, the phone would go to VM.

Was she so smart as to switch it off? Or put on “mute” and then it lost power? Lots of photos, a video, lots of battery life lost. Maybe he did see it but with the power being off, decided it was off for a while? Because taking the phone with you is a huge burden, it starts traveling with yours.

Perhaps he wanted to avoid the liability of carrying her phone, and since it was dead, merely left it with her?

Libby’s phone. It is so key. The images she captured have him looking down at his feet, possibly because the bridge ties are so separated and disintegrated. He wasn’t watching Libby, so it seems. She was surreptitious (and amazing).

So, definitely he was focused on traversing this difficult bridge while still targeting.

I wonder if he just can’t multitask well and missed the phone altogether. Glad the investigators found it.

2 weeks ago we were in great anticipation for the press conference...Monday is the 2 week mark. Not sure what to think. It’s kinda open ended. Will LE come out with something on Monday....

BBM That was supposed to be IDK. Sorry
BBM - means I bolded the text I am referring to
IDK - means I don't know

No two weeks was likely stated to give the families some time.

LE are now starting down a more focused path but it will still take some time to put all the pieces together

Investigations don't have a timeline, they are completed when they are completed

When they have enough to make an arrest, an arrest will be made

Our clever Libby, the hero. We will get him because of her cleverness.

He likely never noticed the phone because she knew what was happening and knew it would be her last brave act. She hid it well, and he was absorbed with his murderous acts no doubt. Such a smart girl.

Amateur opinion and speculation
I agree with this. I think he did not notice Libby recording anything, and if he had, and apparently there is more on the recording, that he would have made sure to grab it at some point.

We can hope' I think they gave that two week period to watch someone they felt was a person of interest. See if he/she goes back to the scene, or takes off. MOO

I don’t think so. Not that I know for sure, but think the two weeks was to ask the media to leave the family alone after the new direction of *possibly* a younger person of interest and new takeaways that, for the betterment of the case, have a reason to be out of the public eye for now.

I truly feel new leads are being pursued and we still won’t hear anything until the announcement of an arrest.

I feel it won’t take another two years. IMO.

It seems odd, this 2 week period. I'm not sure why that amount of time, interesting.

Well, it is not every day that you commit two murders. There was a lot of multitasking I assume, so something got out of his periscope’s field of view.?

been in a class all day checking here and there....

I'd like to say something about the PC and Carter's references to heaven, to the Shack etc...

who says he was addressing the unsub?......I think he was talking to the unsub's family/friends.....putting some guilt out there.....

he specifically stated that the girls are not as they were found anymore....referencing that they are in heaven....

Carter was touching buttons.....I hope it works....
