Fox59 livestream has an expert talking now about the two different subsections to the murder statute. There's murder and also felony murder (felony murder means a death occurs during the commission of another major crime). We don't know yet which subsection Richard Allen has been charged with.

Kidnapping for one? Imo.

The idea that the perpetrator took photos of the scene comes from an interpretation of information laid out in the search warrant for RL's property (the type of things that were listed as being searched for). It's not confirmed that this happened. But I agree, humiliating and disturbing visuals probably did matter to this killer, whether or not he did what people are speculating about based on the warrant.

I haven't read the RL search warrant, but have thought for awhile that "visuals" were part of the crime and perhaps even the sole motivation of the crime. My thoughts are not actually based on fact, just a hunch, and I don't ever imply my thoughts confirm what actually happened or didn't happen. I'm speculating to the point of being tedious in stating I'm speculating only.

Since they didn't tell us the level of the murder charges, I expect there are many other charges which the L.E. do not want us to know about!

I still believe that there are plenty more charges and it will be those additional charges we aren't aware of yet - that will tell the story.

There is a reason why the charging document is sealed. They do not want to release any additional charges they've made against R.A. at this time.

Also, of course, this investigation is ongoing and there may very well be more arrests or more charges against R.A.

I sincerely hope that the documents will not be leaked.

I cannot even imagine the relief that the families and the community have been feeling since Friday. I know our hearts have always been with Libby's and Abby's families.

I agree with this. I followed a case here on Websleuths that took place in Alabama where a child was sexually assaulted and killed during the commission of that crime. They caught the person who raped and killed her pretty quickly but when they first charged him they kept everything completely sealed....within about a week a second person was also arrested and charged with felony murder (in this particular case, the person was involved with procuring the child for the purposes of the sexual assault - so she was charged with felony murder because the child died during the crime, it didn't matter whether or not this person knew in advance that the child would be killed). But they kept everything sealed in order to also create a case against this other involved individual.

Some confirmation bias going on. We were given information and we all heard it clearly and one saying they believe God is a god of justice, another sniffling, and all saying they can’t answer questions related to the investigation had no impact on us all getting the information and confirmation of RMA being arrested on two counts of murder with no bond. That’s big big news and not just news but confirmation from ISP and CCS.

When case watchers don't get the info they expect, there's often an assumption LE doesn't have a good case or LE doesn't really know what they're doing, or evidence is weak, etc. etc.

Every photo so far I have seen of this man, it is always the eyes. There is literally nothing there.

Perhaps look for evidence in out of state matters - perhaps this is why the office of the marshall is involved?
Why was the FBI not there today to speak??

I posted right before the presser started that, according to the reporter speaking on Fox59, the US Marshals were involved for electronic evidence/phone pings.

IMO he looks like he would like to kill the photographer and then everyone beyond.

Taken into custody at Lafayette ISP. Wonder why he was already in Lafayette? On the run? Surrendered there with a lawyer? Is that the nearest ISP barracks? Picked up and detained earlier before formal arrest?

Ohhh that's a lovely shade of Orange Prisoner on him. He looks a little tired. Probably not sleeping very well lately. He looks kinda angry actually. I think he's pissed someone has turned him in. I won't be shocked to learn perhaps the wife, or someone close to him got in touch with police to discuss something of concern. OR... maybe he's pissed to be called out by KAK? Who knows. I wonder if COurtTV will air his future court appearances?

I believe that there are more charges against R.A. but the prosecution does not want these to be revealed. Hence, the sealing of the charging document.

The reason I believe this, is because at the press conference, the specificity of the charge is always read - not in this case though - only the words "murder charges".

I expect there will be connections to others to this case. Who, why and where will be revealed when it is time and it doesn't affect the integrity of the investigation.

We shall find out at some point.

I'm just so relieved for the families and the community. This news is tremendous for them all.
