Looking at the suspects photo makes me think he has an issue with his gait. I wonder if he has a weird way of walking, kid of like how Isreal Keyes had a unique stride when he walked. If the guy is some sort of laborer he may have issues walking, especially if he hasn't a jobs where he's standing for long periods of time. My opinion only. Sorry for the rambling, I'm on my phone and morning used to typing this much on it.
A couple days ago a poster took the photos and made 2 gifs showing him walking... very interesting imo

There is shallow water and sand bars there

Doesn't seem like it would be easy to do know what I mean?

Which is something that only someone with experience with that area would know. IMO.

After seeing the area in the video I'm really puzzled over this. I can understand how they crossed the water but not why. And yes, I realize it's something that only the murderer(s) can answer but it does make me wonder if there was some sort of significance to that spot. Both sides of the river are secluded so it probably wasn't for privacy. I just don't know. Maybe they did it to intimidate the girls psychologically or maybe they felt it would be harder for the girls to run.

Ugh. Whatever the reason, my heart aches when I think of the terror Abigail and Liberty felt. :(

Was he running toward them?

that is I thought at first but there are significant gaps between those cross ties. that could make it difficult to run and easy to turn an ankle.

What does it take to get a search warrant? They had to have something to go on besides his name and someone saying, "Hey, it could be so-and-so", right?

Yes, they would. I don't know what their probable cause was for the search. They haven't released any of the affidavits for the search warrants. Those would give us some idea of what they are looking for or trying to collect.

How did he get them to cross the water?

MOO, but gun.

Or he had Abby in his clutches with a gun or knife held to her while Libby walked "down the hill" and across the creek in front of them.

:(

Not sure how to reply to post from previous thread on the new thread. Someone said it's weird for Libby I think to not be friends with her mom on fb. My younger brother is not friends with my mom on fb. Moms can be very embarrassing on fb and I feel teens are particularly sensitive to this. ETA: embarrassing = commenting on things profusely and comments fawning over them or critical of what they've posted.

So true. When my daughter was that age, I had to look at her FB using my son's account. Which was better, because she did not know I was able to see her FB, and I got a better idea of which boys she was talking to. This was years ago when kids still used FB often...

Just because we were not FB friends, it did not mean we weren't close. She thought we were a bit too close, as in ' I watched her' too much...

Great job! However, I just don;t think they crossed the creek. I still think he came back and they left the bridge to go into the woods on the other side (the northeast) side of the creek... and then went right and then down the bank towards the creek from the north.

Who is our resident photo guru here?

Are you asking who can work photo software? If so, NIN (no it's not) did some excellent work on the Missy Bevers thread.

Are registered sex offenders an automatic yes for a search warrant? Maybe a sex offender lives there.

Does anyone here know if all RSO's in Indiana have DNA on file?

I think the question is important because I have and idea or two about this case that is relevant. If LE is currently serving search warrants on RSOs relating to this case then it means one of two things either a) RSO's in Indiana don't have DNA on file or b) LE does not have DNA results back yet.

My hunch (JMO) is that LE did not find any of the killers DNA at the crime scene during the initial investigation when they were absolutely sure that they would. This would IMO explain a lot. It would explain why they released the crime scene initially and then hustled back there and closed off the scene again. It would also explain why LE is so rattled about this case. Any killer that could murder 2 teenage girls in the tight time frame we have discussed without leaving ANY dna would be very experienced and very methodical and very very dangerous. It is possible he chose the location of the creek so he could clean up. Keep in mind there would be a lot of DNA to sort through at the scene that would have nothing to do with the crime, family members DNA on the girls clothes etc. To not leave one piece of Dna behind would be quite a feat. It would also require the killer to remove a large amount of evidence from the scene with him which could be why LE wanted to know about a duffle bag.

I also believe that they found DNA evidence somewhere back there very recently but they do not have it back yet, which is why they are asking for patience.

If I'm right and they get the DNA back early next week expect an arrest Monday or Tuesday if they get a match...all of this is pure speculation on my part of course and JMO.

I don't know if you were already answered, but the last section talks about DNA records of RSO's. They do indeed catalogue all offenders.

Even w/the quality of these images, I think if this was a close relative/friend or someone I was around daily or quite often, I could recognize them. So I believe someone has to know who this is, unless they somehow haven't seen the news & these pics. Also, it's curious to me why LE wouldn't release just a snippet of the video. I mean, even it's just brief enough to to see him at least take a complete step.

Yes, IMO the bodies got there because they never crossed the creek.

That would be interesting to see. I'm not finding anything like that at the link that you put, though.

Link works for me. Check your Java or make sure you don't have any blockers enabled (?)

Was surprised to see one of the digital billboards here in NJ with the images of the victims and the suspect. Unfortunately, it was very hard to see/read while driving. It was one of those digital billboards that cycle through multiple ads and it was only on the screen for a few seconds. If I had not been familiar with the case I am not sure I would have really been able to make much of it.

Yes and why bother crossing the creek.. it's just as secluded down on the creek bottom either side.
