Does anyone here know if all RSO's in Indiana have DNA on file?
I think the question is important because I have and idea or two about this case that is relevant. If LE is currently serving search warrants on RSOs relating to this case then it means one of two things either a) RSO's in Indiana don't have DNA on file or b) LE does not have DNA results back yet.
My hunch (JMO) is that LE did not find any of the killers DNA at the crime scene during the initial investigation when they were absolutely sure that they would. This would IMO explain a lot. It would explain why they released the crime scene initially and then hustled back there and closed off the scene again. It would also explain why LE is so rattled about this case. Any killer that could murder 2 teenage girls in the tight time frame we have discussed without leaving ANY dna would be very experienced and very methodical and very very dangerous. It is possible he chose the location of the creek so he could clean up. Keep in mind there would be a lot of DNA to sort through at the scene that would have nothing to do with the crime, family members DNA on the girls clothes etc. To not leave one piece of Dna behind would be quite a feat. It would also require the killer to remove a large amount of evidence from the scene with him which could be why LE wanted to know about a duffle bag.
I also believe that they found DNA evidence somewhere back there very recently but they do not have it back yet, which is why they are asking for patience.
If I'm right and they get the DNA back early next week expect an arrest Monday or Tuesday if they get a match...all of this is pure speculation on my part of course and JMO.
