IMO It was not a meet up, we have a psycho killer living amongst us and WE have a photo.. It is of his entire BODY!! The public can find him. He may be living in YOUR town! Also, the people who want to only believe this was some revenge or internet thing have REAL FEAR and everyone should have REAL FEAR with people like him not locked up!

Respectfully, theories based on revenge, totally random/ opportunistic, planned meetup, opportunistic but not totally random are all relatively equally plausible based on the few facts we have. The image itself so far hasn't ruled any of those theories out. Hopefully, as LE alluded to, they have spoken with him already in some capacity and will be arresting him/ them soon. JMO.

Sgt. Riley would neither confirm or deny DNA in the articles from this morning, but the DA, Robert Ives, has been quoted tonight in new articles and appears to be confirming that there's DNA from the crime scene. They're still playing it pretty coy, but the DA has come pretty close to outright saying they believe they have DNA.

Honestly the "twist" to me is that the girls were killed by a total random stranger for no reason. The officer had been talking about the only cases he had previously dealt with were murders committed by family members ...this is different.
I think everyone is reading too much into everything due to lack of information available. Psychopaths take risks. They blitz when a good enough opportunity comes along. A lot of the time they actually take people from busier places... streets late at night or alleyways near homes etc..there's always a chance someone will drive by or hear them. They don't care by that point.
Imo this BG knew the tail. He'd been there before. Knew where was best to take them to avoid detection. Knew it was mostly unlikely he would be seen.
I think after that video was taken on the bridge he has threatened them with a weapon of some sort which is why we are not shown more video or audio. Things escalated quite rapidly from there imo.
I believe whatever was recorded after was audio in Libbys pocket The phone may have ended up on the ground nearby not long after in a struggle or dropped by Libby on purpose (unbeknownst to BG). I dont think it went through the river with them.
I think whatever happened,happened before the river...one may have tried running at some point across the river and thats how it ended there.

Sure, most images are 'compressed' somehow to make the file size smaller (better for transmitting over the internet and storing on a memory card). The compression process throws away some of the originally captured image information to make the file size smaller, but tries to do it in a way that minimizes the visual difference from the original.

Compression artifacts are un-intended fine details in the image that are not real, but simply due to the compression process approximating the original. Hope that makes sense.

I have found about 3 versions of the image of Liberty on the bridge: one version that looks like there *may* be vehicle in the trees on the left hand side and two versions where I don't see that at all.

:cow: Thank you for the comprehensive explanation. The left hand side of Liberty's picture of Abby has been cropped in the official ISP photo. That is why the vehicles under the bridge are not visible in all of the images.

The fact of the matter is the property owner's house is not near the crime scene, so even if he had been home there is no reason to expect he'd have known what was happening.

The house across the creek is actually a whole lot closer to the crime scene.

Mr. Logan's house is farther from the crime scene. Also, from his house, the crime scene is down a steep incline. The crime scene can not be seen from Mr. Logan's house.

The house at the end of 625 sits high on a bluff and overlooks the crime scene, though the view would be partially blocked by trees.

Would the girls have crossed the road if the were abducted from the south end? Is the road a drive to private residences with no exit?

So I was just looking at the picture from high up from the bridge, looking down at the ground at the road. I had this strange thought...could there have been a struggle on the bridge? Could the girls have been pushed off? Refresh my memory....did LE ever rule out that they were seen with BG? IMHO maybe that is how he got them "off" without being seen with them?
Just my out of the box thoughts. Maybe someone else too? I have followed most but not all of the threads so if this has been hashed out, sorry.

Yes, I see that road on google maps. However, I believe it is a private drive. It deadends to the east/southeast of the bridge.

I have seen it reported to be a public road. There is no gate. I wish we could trick... errr... talk one of our people that lives around there to going down N 625 W street and see if there are any signs posted.

Iirc, police were photographed near a grain bin (to this city gal, it looks like a silo) on Friday.

It is in deed a grain storage bin, most likely filled with grain soybeans or corn most likely. Could also be empty if the farmer had already hauled it to market. Most have entry doors with lever latch, and then a interior hinged compartment door that is bolted shut when full of grain. Now if its empty the interior door could be unbolted and swung back out off the way and only the exterior lever latch door is closed. We normally haul our grain in, clean out the bin and then re bolt the interior door shut and latch the exterior door so that its ready to be re filled in the fall. Not sure any of this is relevant but that is my 2 cents

I seem to have missed a few things.
Is it true that LE searched the PO's silo in the last week? What would normally be in silo out in that part of Indiana? Do people store ears of corn in those things or what?
When was the PO actually arrested for the drunk driving caper? He's still in jail?

The Silo wasn't on RL's property, it was on the property that is part of a very large farm in the area. Probably grain, not sure if corn or soybeans or stored like this but those are other crops in the area. This is a very rural area, very agricultural.

He has several DUIs, he's in jail on a probation violation.

I think initially when they reported that recording, it contained both the 4th word, and the background noise, but then later, on other sites (like the FBI's site), they had removed both the 'g' sound and the background noise. Obviously LE doesn't want people to consider the g word, for whatever reason, and wants people to only focus on the 3 words........ which, if you knew the person, would likely be enough to raise enough doubt in the mind that it could be that person, that it would prompt the person to make that call. Does it actually matter whether he said 'down the hill', or 'git down the hill', or 'go down the hill', or whatever, I think it all means the same anyway, and unless we can actually identify the perp from the voice and the photo, it doesn't really help us much. jmo and not meaning that to come off as snide!!!! And not directed at the poster above either, but just in general!!

Perhaps LE was trying to soften the effect of his command ("go" or "git") so that it is less jarring to the public. No matter, it chills me to the bone to think that that was an imperative directed at those poor girls when they were at their most terrified.

Actually, I think they might have sent the tweet because an NBC reporter from Boston just tweeted out that she had breaking news that RL had been arrested in the Dephi case. That was about a half hour ago. I'm guessing that irritated the ISP more than random citizens spreading rumors. I'm not going to post her sensationalist tweet, but she's getting schooled pretty hard right now on Twitter by her followers.

You're not ignorant; legal issues can be difficult to slog through. A subpoena is a legal document that compels you to appear in court or produce certain documents to the court, not to LE - it's basically used to obtain witness testimony. It can apply to a court of law, the Grand Jury or as a deposition in a lawyer's office.

Oh, and the subpoena must be served directly to the person, just like we see in the movies.
