The report from today is the first time MSM reports LE says it is the voice of Bridge Guy.

Before they always left the possibility it might be a second perp. Big change to me.

Agreed. I've read the report referenced by Spellbound and this new one is much more difinitive; before LE were absolutely hedging their bets and unwilling to commit one or the other (possibly for good reason that has now been ruled out, such as one perp vs two). JMO[/QUOTE]
Several days ago, maybe a week now, I was watching MSM on TV where they stated something like "this recording of the man pictured " before showing the BG picture and playing the "down the hill" recording. I decided to conservatively assume the reporter mis-spoke/assumed.

While LE has a private list of several POI's/suspects, none of those names has been made public. Similarly, LE has a private list of alibis from people they've interviewed--but one of the alibis actually has been made public. It's understandable that so many are now thinking the same thing about who BG is: That alibi being a lie would be a game changer, it would easily explain developments from this past weekend, and it's the only alibi we know so we latch on to it.

But it wouldn't be fair at this point to rush to that judgement: LE cleared this suspect already and that's the last we know about their status as a suspect. More importantly, we have to remember that there are a lot of other alibis we aren't aware of, and it makes just as much sense that it was one of those that was false. Still, it's probably a reason for cautious optimism.

(Oh, and I've been lurking since the first weekend, like many others who have popped their heads up lately. I live in Indiana, but come to WS for the latest developments instead of local media. Ya'll do great work here.)

I wonder what the reasoning is to let the public know this, that alibis haven't all added up?!!! Hmmm

Maybe this is another way of persuading more tips to those who thought they were in the clear. Thinking Joe Smith has been cleared since he had a good alibi so why tip on him. Then find out all who have been cleared are not 100% cleared. Maybe this is LEs way of saying."Hey if you still think their alibi ain't up to snuff then give us a call"

Just an idea.

I've been hoping if there was grain in the silo they've sifted through it looking for hidden evidence...
BG clothing, a weapon, the girls clothing, phone, etc
I do keep thinking they were taken elsewhere then returned. MOO

I've thought the same before myself about a second crime scene. Only because the land owner said the crime scene was "pristine". That has always bothered and puzzled me. But I can't imagine the suspect coming back to that area. He had to have known they would be reported missing at some point. I believe k9 would have picked up something on him and tracked his scent or maybe blood to his exit point. I wonder if LE is withholding that too.

Most LEO have an amazing "spidey sense" and are "on to" liars before they even open their pie hole.
Moo, the don't have the guy. They f.b.i ran across him while conducting computor search's on sex offender's within a 2 hundred mile radious hoping they are related to the case. This isnt the guy IMO .my first theory still is the one I'm sticking with. His d.n.a. won't match. I.m.o. only

It's getting late and I have a lot of work to do tomorrow.

Thanks to everyone for their support and tireless sleuthing.

I still hold high hopes this 🤬🤬🤬 will be caught.

And if any of them are here: thank you to the LE that are always looking and working on this.

I have a friend who is a detective on this case and I agree with the poster that said LE knows people lie before they open their pie hole. He is one of those types. And no, before anyone asks, I have not talked to him.

Here's hoping and praying tomorrow we get results for these beautiful girls. We will get them A&L.

The Ft. Wayne guy has been on their radar since September. Wouldn't he have been checked out before this?
I'm not seeing what the frenzy is all about. They already knew about this guy.

You're right and they've probably been surveilling him too.

Just popping in here, haven't had much time to read today, Sorry!

I was thinking about the girls phone. I have an iphone and carry it in my pocket when I'm out for walks. Always on alert, (because I read here!), my go to plan for help is to alert Siri. If I push home button once, then again twice, Siri is asking me what I need. It recognizes my voice when I say "Call 911". My phone would then call 911. 911 would then connect and ask me if I need help. And 911 stays connected until the other party disconnects..

So, maybe the voice "down the hill" is from a 911 call from the phone. LE says it came from her phone, but they've never said they have the phone. Makes you wonder how long they were able to listen....

Best hopes for an answer.

So i did just that. I googled "meth labs in indiana". I found the following which shows three meth labs in carroll county in 2015. i did not look any further than that but the below document looks interesting. Click on the first line of 2015 map. It shows the meth labs by county.

http://www.in.gov/meth/2330.htm

Something to consider, have you ever seen/smelled a meth lab? They smell HORRIBLE. They are not easily hidden...they need to be somewhere very remote generally if they're going to be in the woods. Consider the time of year, size of the area, and lack of foliage...I can not possibly imagine meth lab in the area directly where the girls were found. Too close to civilization and well-traveled trails. JMO. mooooo

If you look it up on bing maps you can actually see the power lines and I am pretty confidant that this is in fact the bridge where the fishing photo was taken..FWIW MOO

911 connect stay connected before other party drop it. Is it really true? If so it is good to know. How if the caller die immediately but the phone is still on. Will 911 dispatcher stay connected until somebody come over to hang up the phone?

Huge fan of Occam's razor over here. 99% of the time, the simplest explanation is the right one. I've seen other cases where people launched into massive conspiracy theories, sex trafficking etc..yet the real cause was a simple car accident, or the boyfriend was the assailant, etc. Look close to home, and as I've learned, keep it simple. JMO of course :)

You're absolutely right. I've seen that happen with a lot of cases on here. We've had thousands of posts, theorizing everything from sex trafficking to aliens, and it's turned out to be a murder/suicide (I am thinking of the Jamison case in Oklahoma, although that was never definitively proven). People are complicated but most of these cases are usually pretty simple. I think that BG is someone they've already interviewed or someone that knew the family. I think LE probably knows more than they are saying and might even have a few strong POIs and are keeping things tight-lipped for the integrity of the case. In a lot of these cases, the culprit was someone who was interviewed right at the beginning. Look at Jessica Heeringa's case. We were starting to think that it might never be solved. Or the poor McStay family. People were off chasing theories all over the country and, in both cases, it ended up being someone they'd talked to in the very beginning. And, in the McStay family's case, one of the biggest faces of the case.

That's not to say that I don't like theorizing. It's fun and I want to try to help. As a crime author, it's kind of what I do-sit around and look at evidence, theories, and listen to everyone's ideas. In this one, though, as with most, I do truly feel that O's Razor is probably true.

Just coming to read and over a hundred posts on another case?

Is there a WS link to this other 🤬🤬🤬🤬 case being posted about?

Or is it all being posted in this thread for Abby and Libby for ? reason?

I live in Indiana and am in a line of work that makes me acutely aware of our drug epidemic & methods of manufacturing. I think there are plenty of other larger wooded areas, many more remote locations, not too far from there. Again just my 2 cents and conversation. :)

I've been shocked to learn how prolific this problem is in Indiana. I would never have guessed that Indiana leads the nation. No wonder the homicide rate has jumped so dramatically there, along with child welfare cases, arson, and not just Gary either. I added up MO,IL,IN,OH,KY and it is more than the rest of the nation for meth labs.

I agree that it's usually the most simple answer and I do not think for a minute these murders have anything to do with sex trafficking, child 🤬🤬🤬🤬, etc. I think it was simply a man with an urge to kill and two girls who had the very bad luck to cross paths with him that day.

I have to say - it is driving me crazy how many men I have seen pictures of that look like they *could* be the BG. Like every darned man in Indiana must look like BG...or so it seems. There are so many people who I think *could* be the killer just going off the picture and this very common appearance he seems to possess - sex offenders, odd people around Delphi whose FB pages I have seen, Delphi residents in TV news stories in the past and present -- even LE and family! At this point, based only on the picture, I have about 15 suspects - and that's just the ones I have run across myself. I can't imagine living around there - going to the grocery store or gas station or even to church and seeing BG's likeness in so many men around me.

Great questions. I think 911 can call back to a cell phone regaining the previous connection. Even if the caller dies, there is audio. Hopefully others will chime about iphone 911 info.

Adios amiga
