I am hoping that the reason for no more official updates is because they have a good idea who they are looking for. Operative word being hoping.

Still, every day despite how small the action feels I set off across the wastelands that are google for something we havent sleuthed, or something we have missed or something thats so obvious we have discounted it.

I know some people don't really GET the idea of this website. But it is possible that one of us will find that clue, that tip that will bring justice to these girls.

Thats my hope anyway and leads me back over and over.

As always, Moo.
They also may have to get approval to extradite someone from another state.

They also may have to get approval to extradite someone from another state.

I know if I lied to the FBI and ISP and they announced they were on to my deceit I might be in another state by now. Knowing how calculated they are in their press releases I wonder why they let everyone know? Had to be a reason.

When the LE announced that they were going to be reinterviewing people because their alibis were not completely truthful at first I was super excited, maybe a break in this case!!! But then the more I thought about it, this feels off to me… If the LE have been super quiet about everything thus far in the case why announce that information. Clearly LE are not swayed by the public demands for more information, they are going to do what they feel is best for the case period. So how does telling the public that there are possible alibi issues help their case? Wouldn’t that just complicate things? Wouldn’t the LE want to catch these people off guard when they reinterview them? Now anyone who has been interviewed will know why the LE is reinterviewing them? My question is what was the point in the LE giving us this information? This would seem to me to be something that they would want to keep quiet unless it was another attempt to spook whoever was involved. Perhaps the LE feel like they are close but not close enough so they are using the media to get to this guy?

This might be a moot point, right now. But the BG clearly is sporting a moustache. A grey, walrus type moustache, and a large one at that so it probably took a while (months, possibly years) for him to grow that.

I sort of think it looks reddish brown near the top and blends to gray as it goes down.

Would you like me to leave it to you Skibaboo? Your skills are sooooo much better than mine and so professional looking!

Thanks but nooo lol The more the merrier. It's driving me bonkers. I've been able to trace power cables to one of the properties across from the creek but can I heckers find where they go from there, I'm going bog eyed trying. Power lines run along W 300 N. I just don't see where any cross the creek. The thing is IF they do, then it would line up about right with where you and I both think the photo of Abby fishing may have been taken. I'm about to give up, and I don't do that often..

I hope these make sense

Am I the only one that won't go outside at night since this? Am I the only one that jumps at every bump in the night?

I'm not jumping at bumps in the night, but I know what you mean. Yesterday I took my child to the park and was so suspicious of people, though I live in a small town and most people are at least somewhat familiar even if I don't know them. One thing I really worried about was that there was a young woman with two young daughters meeting a man there in person for the first time after they'd communicated online (they were close to us on the swings and were talking about it). One of the daughters was being very quiet after the man said something to her, and the mom chastised her and told her she had better "talk to him and smile and be nice." I cringed. When they were leaving he asked if he could take them home (she didn't have a car), and she said "Oh no--that's fine! We live right across the street!" I wanted to shake her.

I've been a member for several years and followed many, many cases. I jumped at every noise after following the Boston Marathon bombings and listening to the police scanner of LE surrounding the suspect, but I've never had to step away for the sake of my own mental health. Grief might have something to do with it yeah, but I had to give myself a voluntary TO, because I had a doozie of a panic attack last week and had high anxiety ever since. That is how intense this case is. MOO

Could be a fake mustache for all we know.

from last thread:

Elly Mae, were you using the pic of Abby fishing for this conclusion? OMG, I cannot believe we did not connect her fishing spot to where they were found. They may have walked down there, to a familiar area, while on their "hike". Do we know for sure they were dropped off on the north side? Could they have been on the south side all this time? Perhaps dropped off at the cemetary area and walked down from there.

This is an amazing find.
Is anyone else having a hard time finding/seeing the fishing picture? The links don't work for me and I'd so like to see it!

BBM Wouldn't that have been just divine! :skip:

When it was posted on MSM it had a caption that said, "Another photo on her Facebook page shows Abigail fishing in the creek with the bridge in the background." But they could have just assumed it. I don't know that it was the caption on FB.

I don't know if this has been posted on here yet, but on Feb 10 The Harvard State Bank In Rockford, IL (it's about 3.5 hours from Delphi) was robbed at knife point by a man who looks very similar to BG.

I often cringe when I see so many " this could be the guy"...

I can just envision the defense attorney using this photo again and again as to discount this Photograph, due to the plethora of people that everyone has thought it looks like. ..

So this Photograph, I think, will be not used to prosecute him at all.

They need much more.

Not LE but this is my opinion as well. They haven't released it because they don't need to....

I leaning this way, too. Could also be why they no longer need 200 people working on it.

It's my opinion that the wires go to the home in the third photo. If Abby is standing with the wires running overhead, then they would go to that home. The home that has the driveway under in RR bridge. Jmo

When living in Va, on a peninsula on a lake our power lines ran over a creek to the lake to a pole on the next peninsula.

Since they were searching near and possibly in the grain bin/silo thing, it seems they have a reason to be doing that. If one or both of the girls were in/near it, couldn't the "down the hill" be from BG walking them BACK to where they were found? It's down a considerable hill I believe. Just spec, no links MOO

I've thought before when RL said it would be difficult to carry them to where they were found that maybe his command to get down the hill was later. Clicking Snapchat videos are quick and only last a few seconds, it's not like turning the recorder on and letting it run. Maybe she was able to get several short snips of verbiage. I wonder if it's possible to auto save video on SC? Otherwise you would have to manually save it and I don't think she'd have been able to do that.

The fishing pic of Abby is from her moms Facebook page. Are we allowed to post FB photos here? I am guessing yes.

I'm thinking they have a suspect based on LE not releasing anymore audio and/or video. At this point, over a month in, I think even the family would agree to release something, anything else to help catch this guy. Even just 3 seconds of him walking could make the difference in his capture, but there's nothing new. It's my hope that's because they're just waiting to get the okay for an arrest. Just my opinion and my hope.

Kind of O/T: My son is 15 years old, and he's becoming more independent, like walking home from school instead of being picked up from school, walking around the neighborhood and playing basketball with his friends, etc. My interest in true crime is now kind of turning me into a basket case everytime he walks out the door. Since this happened, I've made it a point to reiterate that if he and his friends are approached, to run. And run. And run. Don't hesitate, don't think he can save anyone, just run. It's awful to consider, but I can't help but to think that if BG had one of the girls, and the other ran, she would have survived and been an eye witness. I also can't say that I would've left my best friend in that situation when I was 13, either. I'm fairly certain I would've done what he said, hoping we would survive. MOO and hoping for an arrest ASAP.

Perhaps O/T

This case for some reason has really upset me and I want to call my family and my nieces and nephews concerning protecting their grandchildren and grands.

But I have not..If I did, they would think I was too concerned. They know I follow cases, and they think I am too much into it.

Question for other :websleuther:

Have you ever sent a message to family with concerns? How do you couch it without sounding like a paranoid grandmother?

This is probably a dumb idea, but maybe they have a few, or several, men whose alibis haven't been or can't be confirmed. They may have announced this to see who appears to panic among that group. It's possible that some of them were doing something illegal, or that violates parole/probation, and will admit to their actions when seeing the choice between admitting to that and being charged with a double homicide and possibly more. MOO

I guess I'm hardened after being a true crime addict since 1968. I don't freak out easily. I don't have nightmares. I don't have trouble sleeping. I don't think about this case 24/7. What it has done, however, is make me more wary of my surroundings since I live in a town with about the same population count as Delphi. Nothing ever happens here...yet.
