The search on Tuesday was much more organized and they wouldn't want random people just walking around in those woods whether it was their property or not. It was best if he stayed out of the way.

JMO...
I completely agree with you. But he could have been part of that organized team, as apparently several neighbors were.

I was originally responding to someone who asked where he could have gone that would be more important than helping search his property, which he knew better than anyone else. The post you quoted was further downstream in response to someone who mistakenly thought I was talking about where he was Monday, not Tuesday.
JMO.

My apologies. I have been in and out today. Earlier this morning there was mention of a Tippecanoe Ranch Rd. Was there something about this that I missed?

Hi guys. What's going on this afternoon? I know it's annoying, but I have to be that person.

Thank you.

So in this theory do u think this person is still around

I go two ways.

He is around as he does business in the area.., truck driver , contractor etc

Or he is local., one of the well liked and helpful townspeople. Someone who is charming , personable.. almost too much so.

I wouldn't be surprised if Lyric and Elizabeth also aren't linked .. hence the reasons for the billboards.

Under federal law, felons may not own firearms, I believe.

This is true. Any felony or even a conviction of domestic battery. There is another disqualifier for him too. He is a convection substance (alcohol) abuser.

And even if there was a condition that one was going to be able to get their "rights" back after completion of their felony probation, this probation period would not allow it as it extends past 365 days. It would have to be signed off on by a judge after completion of everything. In Indiana it is called "post conviction relief" and is not easy to had from my understanding.

You don't get to lie in a Murder investigation.

The same one he's refusing to cooperate in.

What a guy!

He *had* been cooperating until his lawyer advised him to put a lid on it, and seems he is following his lawyer's recommendation. Nothing wrong with that part.

Jumping off your post...

While I was lurking after discovering WS because of the TK:mad::sick: in SC case, I did a lot of reading in the Missing Persons forum. Along the way I somewhere found a link to a page here that lists a lot of the abbreviations like BBM, SBM etc. I thought it was under FAQ, but I can't find it. If anyone can link to it it might help the newer people on this thread.

The ISP PIO was interesting as was what the reporter said in the opening.

https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=mai87ho2trA

This was in reference to 3/17 SW.

ETA RL statement he was "cleared ages ago" contradicts PIO Riley's statement. Not sure when RL made that statement but he was in jail on 3/17 so not that date.

Re: Ron Logan DNA testing

I'm not sure what class felony his DUIs are but there is also one reason why I think he wasn't DNA tested.

He was never ordered in court ( from the records provided here, on WS, to pay for the costs. I do see where he had to pay fine/court costs ) All costs are to be court ordered for the felon to pay.

Is there a public link for that probation document that was posted last thread and keeps being reposted without a link? I cannot locate it.

And despite the accusation made earlier and since edited, I am not related to Ron Logan, in case those who read the original post were curious.

Another poster suggested I edit that comment for TOS. I certainly didn't accuse you of anything however. I just said that when people (and there's more than one) push the rest of us to stop considering RL and say they wish they could clear the forum of all messages related to him, it makes me wonder what their connection is, if they're family etc. Otherwise why wouldn't they want every stone unturned and every person's unique perspective explored?

I was careful to say that I don't necessarily think RL committed a crime. Just that I think it's valid to consider him among the persons of interest.

Another poster suggested I word it differently, in retrospect, so I did edit.

I sincerely apologize if that phrasing offended you or anyone else. My underlying question is why would anyone want to wipe the board clear of everyone's valuable and diverse opinions?

Thank you! No DNA testing for D's in Indiana

Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

I swear I saw a document a week or two ago that showed D's were included...not the new law about arrests but the old law for convictions.

DNA is collected from ALL convicted felons in Indiana. They are now trying to catchup with most of the other states that require DNA upon felony arrest:

https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Gun_laws_in_Indiana

In Indiana certain felons may own a gun... they can't BUY a gun.

Therefore, a person with a non-violent felony in Indiana would be allowed to possess a firearm under Indiana law, but because federal law prohibits possession in this instance, that person would be unable to purchase a firearm since purchasing a firearm is subject to federal law and a NICS background check. Is there a way to research to see if RL has a legal concealed carry permit for a firearm?
i don't think a felon can own a firearm under any circumstances

Police were definitely involved in the search Monday evening according to this video, responding about 5:30 p.m.:

http://fox59.com/2017/02/14/carroll-county-authorities-continue-search-for-missing-teenagers/

So while the initial contact with RL may have been a neighbor, LE may have been there too during the evening. Other videos I've seen showed the search continued well after dark (indeed, they showed how hard it would have been to spot the bodies in the woods at night, raising the possibility that the bodies might have been missed Monday evening).

As you say, we don't know if the neighbor who asked to search was the same neighbor that found the bodies. We also don't know, in either case, whether the neighbor was acting alone or in a group. The most likely case is that the neighbor or neighbors were simply being neighborly--pitching in to help find the girls, even though criminal activity wasn't initially considered, because they were missing, potentially lost or hurt, and facing a winter night in the open.
Exactly. It's just strange that the neighbour asks to search so late 6.30 p.m. but did or didn't search RL property till the next day ? Could that just have been an excuse to access RL property in order to hide the bodies there under pretense of the search? How would anyone know one way or the other?

Also to expand on this.. he couldn't get a concealed permit., so he would have to carry it out openly.

I live in a pretty decent area in Indy but at Texas Roadhouse on a Thursday night is filled with men carrying their guns openly.

I think to myself "felon" every time I see that.
