I get so confused by these articles. This one says the girls were found in the creek.

And under BG's pic, the caption reads "only suspect". What do u guys make of this?

I'm finding some reporting on this case frustrating. Each publication has small details that are different than others.

All true but what if the image has actually made it harder as I have seen some images of SO in that area and JL ( who I think located the bodies) and so many people could be BG.

So how many people (with good intentions i am sure ) have rung up to say it could be so and so because of that picture and it's actually slowed down the investigation ?

Did you happen to listen to the recent interview linked at the end of thread #51? The quality of the photo was discussed.

WebSight the image you have done is absolutely amazing.

So that now does look like a neck scarf of some kind and also it looks his jacket had different coloured shoulders to the rest of jacket.

Bad reporting regarding location of bodies; we know they were reported to be 50-60 feet from the water.

As to the "only suspect" comment, that is interesting, but may just mean BG is the only known suspect.

I am from from the U.K. So we are totally anti guns and it's illegal to have one.

So with that in mind would it be normal to carry a gun day to day if you was just randomally out for a walk somewhere like Indiana which seems quite rural in some parts ?

I am female, live in a very rural area of Indiana, and carry all the time.

We know LE created the image,so would we be doing wrong by exposing whats in the pics if they intentionally blurred it out?

I don't think that LE took into account that sleuthers like us and folks like me would analyse and play with every single pixel. I think they were more concerned to create as close a likeness in a photo to the guy they saw in the video as they could and get it out there. Like some on here have said, maybe they thought that the likeness was close enough that someone who knew the guy would recognize him without having to look all that hard.

We would not be able to unblur anything if they intentionally blurred it. We might be able to enhance or realign but that won't reveal anything they were trying to hide. So, in my opinion the photos are open for scrutinizing just as LE's words are. mooooooooooooo.:fence:

Do you sleuthers think The BG is right or left handed?

If the girls were killed by slashing their throats I'm sure LE has a good idea which hand was used to hold the knife. Some people are ambidextrous. IMO

Almost at the end of their work day, a reporter in Kentucky was assigned to quickly read a few news reports and then write a short summary about the Delphi murders.

Notice there's no quotes. That often a give away that contradictory information is not factual.

It's surprising that people can't make out what kind of shoes/boots he is wearing, but they can see a watch on his wrist.

In all fairness to people who see what they see, none of them are going to testify in court against anyone as to what is in his pockets or if he's right or left handed, IMO.

I see what appears to be a watch

I too think they are related based not only on similarities, but that police in Indiana connected with police in Iowa, and then put out a nation wide alert. I'll post more thoughts at the end of the day ... have a good one!

Sgt. John Perrine said there was no connection after Indiana and Iowa were in contact. It's not uncommon for detectives investigating major crimes like murder to travel or they may have had a conference call, I don't know, but he said that LE does not believe they're connected. I also think there is a good possiblity that Iowa and Indiana know who their killers are, IMO.

I see no reason to be so explicit..thank you

It is not at all abnormal, but not everyone does. I live in a pretty rural area, and do not, nor do my family and most of my friends.

The interview linked at end the of thread 51.....sorry I can't recall the name of LE but the photo was discussed. It's very relevant to the topic of discussion here.

He made a comment "you should have seen what the photo looked like before" LE worked on it, or something to that effect.

A video at a distance of 70 to 80 feet then without any doubt pixels had to be added to give the photo a higher level of clarity so it can be viewed close up. I don't think LE is offering any guarantee that it's an exact likeness although it's the best they have to offer.

When zooming into the photo, the problem becomes that we can't tell what pixels were added to give the photo a realistic appearance when viewed as a whole.
