I don't think the nose  matches. But in all seriousness they were found so if they were hidden it IMO probably wasn't well hidden. But you never know.Just chiming in.

Does anyone know if they were find on the bank of the river or more in the leaves on land?

I have always guessed the COD to be drown, while I don't know the answer I will blindly guess bank. Blind guesses are any of us really have.

that estimation was with his head looking down which subtracts from his real height.

Not sure that matters since... in that particular photo both of the heads are somewhat down and the head of RL is still quite smaller. So logic tells me if RL were to be resized appropriately, he would be larger. Because in interviews and photos, his head looks larger than usual to me. Jmo

As I understand it, they were 50-60 feet from the water's edge. We do not know if they were fully exposed, covered with leaves or brush or otherwise hidden. Viewing the crime scene it didn't look disturbed. moo

i think we provide links here to show something as fact. I don't know either way, because the best to my knowledge they have not said. You seem to firmly believe they were in the open. i don't believe the person in your picture had their place searched with LE saying that one outcome was that they could be cleared.
They certainly were not buried, or hidden very well. Logic would dictate by the time it took to find the bodies.

what message do you get in reply to your mail bouncing back? I would hate to see a tip go to waste so let us figure this out.

Do you think the girls were at the location they were found at all along or is it possible they was placed there later that night ?

I think placed there later. I seriously don't understand how someone commits a murder in broad daylight to not 1, but 2 people not far from the bridge. Do all of this and possibly more in an hour or so.

Google really is amazing at finding answers.

I'll guess in this case that the killer was in a hurry as to why the bodies were out and not buried or hidden better, IMO, because it happened quickly and was unplanned, also IMO.

But if it was RL then he had more time than anybody as it was his property.

New user here, so this is my first post. I registered specifically to reply to this. Not sure how to word this without giving out too much info on an individual, but I was lurking this thread over the last couple of hours and have noticed something. There was an earlier post regarding a local "journalist" taking pictures of the bridge area, allegedly during the initial search or shortly after, and posting these pictures to Facebook. There is a bit of controversy regarding the times his pics were posted to his page. Hopefully one of you know what I am talking about without me posting the guy's name. But the individual has a beard, which is what I am seeing in this photo. He has red hair and a pretty distinctive nose, which I again somewhat see in this photo. Hopefully one of you know what I am referencing, and if so, please take a look at his Facebook pictures and see if you also see the distinct similarities I am seeing.

Also, great work all of you are doing. I just found this site this morning and I am extremely impressed with everything. I am originally from a small-ish town, also in Indiana, so I know the mentality of the area and how devastating this has to be. I am also a former investigator for the Indiana Department of Corrections and was fortunate enough to get a lot of training from a lot of good agencies and this case has really dragged me down the rabbit hole as a human being, a father of two girls, and someone with an investigative background. Keep up the good work! Looking forward to interacting with all of you!

EDIT: I was replying to Floridian's picture of BG where they were debating as to whether or not someone saw a beard....should have replied with quote so I didn't make my first post looking like a big dummy head...

Personally i don't think suspect cared if or how they were found. It's possible that who ever it was that came to pick them up and got no response by phone call/text got out and started looking for them and hollered out their names. Suspect may have heard that and left in a hurry. Seeing the photos of the crime scene and the hills, ravins, and fallen trees one may have to have been close to actually see them. Jmo

That is the problem, isn't it, we don't know how the girls were found, exactly. So unfortunately no one has a link to prove their point. Sigh.

Still, to me, even if they were buried or covered, it couldn't have been by too much because they were found fairly quickly. I think the point is that, if they were buried or covered, they weren't buried deep enough so as to never be found.

My question would be then, did the perp want them to be found?

First crime, not a murder. The "found alive" is kind of a giveaway

Second, shallow grave is buried, haphazardly perhaps but buried.

Picton fed his victims to his pigs, no quote of them just laying in his backyard.

Citing links tends to work better, when you read them first.

Just two days ago LE again asked for tips to try to identify Bridge Guy. Odd request if they know who he is...

It might be deliberate mis information as to not alarm the perpertrator.

A few years ago, there was a horrific murder of a child near my city. The police knew from say, day two who their primary suspect was and that he, in all probability, was the perpetrator. Yet, the police continued to report that there were no suspects and that they welcomed any additional tips.

Likewise, in another high profile murder case here, the police informed the media that the case was considered "cold" with no suspects. In fact, the case was very warm- and focused near entirely on one person who was later arrested by surprise.
