At least to me, that cleaned up picture makes it appear that the BG is much younger than I had thought originally.

I'm hoping this is acceptable to post. I didn't really change the picture so much as just remove the background. I do a lot of work with photos and graphics, but I can't make any guarantees about the accuracy here. I tried to remove the background and blurred portions which seem to be from movement during recording, but I may be off in some places because of the similarity of the colors. The main thing I was looking for was what his general body type is, and if I've been looking for the wrong guy. I hope it might serve some purpose for somebody here.

This is interesting and definitely more in line with I 'see' in the photo. I've thought BG seems like a much younger man.

<modsnip>

There is no MSM link to my opinions on the cause of their deaths. The murders were heinous, atrocious and evil. LE describes the case as complex. I do not believe they crossed the creek. One reason for that belief is because it has been posted numerous times, including official graphs, that the water level was higher on the 13th. I do not believe the murders occurred where their precious bodies were located in a pristine area. (Bird of Paradise, my apologies for using the word pristine, again.)

Further, I believe there were more UnSubs than BG participating in the crimes, maybe the mystery man dressed in black and, quite possibly, including a willing female participant.

(Whitechapel)

Well, what did you mean when you said the bodies couldn’t be identified until autopsy? You said, “They did not know who the bodies were. The children had to be IDed by autopsy.” LE knew what the girls looked like prior to them being found so if you still profess that they didn’t know who the bodies were when found, there must have been something about their facial characteristics that prevented them from being identified by sight, right? And, if so, that can’t be right anyhow because they had open casket funerals. I’m not trying to be difficult. I’m really not. I would just like to know why you think the bodies couldn’t be identified when found. Autopsies in cases such as this are SOP.

Moving on…

Me, too. He seems to be wearing loose-fitting outerwear, the jeans and the jacket. With the layers he's wearing on top, I don't think he's more than average size, at best.

Every time I see a cleaned up version of this picture, I see a younger man. I don't see middle age or older. I see a man in his 20s-30s.

Okay I'm glad I'm not the only one that sees younger. I see while I was writing a bunch of you said the same.

Confusion, this is an excellent job! I know I already said so on your profile, but wanted to bring this forward for some possible discussion. I really appreciate the work you put into this.

I've spoken to Tricia. She mentioned leaving this thread closed for the weekend. I explained to her the steps we had taken to clean it up, issue TOs and she is aware of the content my Admin Note.

I am going to re-open this thread now because I honestly don't know how I can be any clearer. It is up to you guys how long it stays open. Keep in mind, mods depend on alerts. We cannot sit on one thread and read every post. Please alert any violations so we can take swift action.

Thanks in advance for your help and cooperation. :)

Thanks beach! This is me from now on----->

Looks like we all had the same idea about that great picture by Confusion. :D

He does look much younger..and much lighter. Amazing.

My thoughts too. How strange. So he looks about 25 now and less menacing imo.

Thanks for the effort to clean the pic up.

The new version not only looks younger, he also looks shorter to me. From the pic, I'd describe him as 5'6" and in his early 20's.

So now I have BG1, his older bro BG2 and little bro BG3. I give up.

If BG is younger it would help explain AW and LG's reaction to seeing him. Perhaps they weren't startled as has been thought, therefore they didn't run.

FWIW, I guessed the suspect initially as being in his mid-twenties to mid-thirties. Most thought he appeared to be older, and because none of us know factually he may very well be up to his fifties or even older though. I stay open-minded so as not to rule someone out due to age, build, or anything, because the photo is so grainy I cannot speculate much if at all.

I was going to post the same thing, less menacing. Creepy as that sounds in describing the suspect.

Moving on…

I have always been on the understanding that the bodies couldn't be deemed identified, whether the police can see they are who they are looking for or not, until a family member/spouse, etc. had identified the body or identification was done by DNA, dental records, etc. Because of the nature of the death, the police will submit the bodies to a forensic autopsy. It seems plausible that the family was asked to identify the bodies by photograph while the autopsy was being conducted. The autopsy was concluded fast enough that the id and autopsy were complete at relatively the same time.

Well we know he isn't just a cute guy...he murdered (presumedly) 2 young girls . But if the right person would see this picture it might help catch him..seems much more informative.

Yes...It's crazy how much "clearer" it is to see him simply by removing the background. Thank you to the poster who took the time to do this for all of us!

Oh my goodness, the image is moving closer to what would fit within the age group of aggressive male juvenile hooligans. I wonder if there's abandoned old outbuildings that might be used as a hangout?

A possible scenario is that Libby and Abby may have been in the wrong place, never intending to attract attention, having no idea a pack of delinquents was in the area until BG was sighted on his way to join the others. What may have started out on a somewhat milder note, for example by a dare from one of the group to another to harass or antagonize the girls, may have quickly turned nasty and gotten out of control.

A possible theory, just my opinion....

I also see younger. IMO, this is the best pic yet.
