Hi - Are you saying no one in LE made a reference to nightmares?
LOUDER than words---in their initial press conference they were visibly disturbed.

BG stands for Bridge Guy---I do know ocgrad has an excellent eye on detail and is not easily befuddled which I can become, momentarily. I would like to ask the opinion of our community on pressing the courts for documentation concerning official charges. WS Admin stated no SA charges in this case. Just homicide twice? Also a copy of the SW on RL's property. Has that been withheld? Even the coroner's report may be made public in a redacted state----over two months without further discovery? I ask if it is unethical to press for these here, and still be respectful to Libby and Abby?

BBM Idareyouto, can you elaborate on the bolded statement? Did I miss something? When did we find that out? Of course after 53+ threads it is possible I missed that so I would appreciate it if you could tell me about this. Thx.

In a case local to me here, we had a similar situation, and the newspaper in the city petitioned the court to unseal the autopsy report and obtained all records. In fact some of the locals here went directly to the courthouse and got all the search warrant returns and every possible thing linked to the suspect arrested (he had a previous abduction conviction amongst many others) I have actually wondered if any locals in IN have considered trying to do the same thing there. We had a large group of folks here last summer who worked hard to redact the names mentioned in all the documents before they were uploaded here... Are you close enough to Delphi to be able to do that if it's possible? That's the only way we will probably ever learn anything

Post 72 in the media thread.

“Imagine what that must be like, it’s generally and very likely will be one of the last things these ladies and gentleman see for the rest of their lives before they go to sleep,” said Carter.

ADMIN NOTE: As Lafayette is about 25 minute drive from Delphi I see why you are all interested in the recent story about a volunteer firefighter's arrest for SA.

Here's the rub. Can anyone link to LE or any Main Stream Media report from authorities that state the victims in this case were sexually assaulted? No. Because no such info has been released.

So for now - the firefighter is off the table.

:bump:

You haven't missed anything. A link was posted several pages back about a man arrested in Lafayette for SA. Admin have said discussion of him is off the table as it has not been stated whether SA is a factor in A & L's case.

Today at 12:54 p.m. itcya posted #168 which stated no SA charge has been made public. I am at a loss on how to copy that statement here. Can you follow my identifiers?

Thank you - I was positive I heard the nightmare reference made by LE during one of the first conferences. My apologies if I was in error.

Thanks Skibs, that's what I thought.

It's so easy to get confused, so much was happening in the first couple of weeks. It was the media that stated a 'source' had told them the video was 'the stuff of nightmares'

ETA: BOP did it better. Thanks BOP!

Listen Skibs maybe we should consult each other prior to posting LOL

The information that is released to the public is highly dependent on the public disclosure (sunshine) laws in the state. Some states, like Florida, have notoriously broad public disclosure laws that allow media organizations to request copies of "public records" from LE. Even in Florida, which is the broadest law, there is an exemption for public safety and privacy. Once a complaint is filed in court and there's an ongoing litigation, it is easier to get public records because Florida assumes what will be presented in court will be made public, absent an item being sealed. I'm sure many here went through the Casey Anthony case and the public document dumps.

Here, though, I don't think any court would even consider interfering with an ongoing, only months-old investigation. The balance IMO weighs strongly against disclosure- LE needs the flexibility to carry out their investigation without having to disclose every step to the public.

(I am a lawyer but not licensed in IN, so I can only go off my experience in the states I have practiced in)

I think I must have misunderstood your meaning in your post "WS Admin stated no SA charges in this case." That sounded to me that WS Admin had made a statement regarding the charges that would be filed and that there would be no SA charges. Upon rereading it myself, Tricia was saying that there has been no statement from LE one way or another. That was what I thought. Thx.

The white truck parked next to the grain bin/silo is NOT RL's truck. Watch this as the truck pulls out and drives towards the reporter: @1:10

I don't know that the grain bin was searched, like inside. RL'S pickup was parked next to the grain bin which is near the old barn. I don't know if they took anything but the evidence truck was there that day, 3/10 so they seemed prepared to take something. Complete with media also.
They went back to the barn on 3/17 when they issued a SW for RL. Someone earlier mentioned there can be problems in court when submitting evidence obtained without a SW, so it makes sense they had one.
I've been looking for the photos of the searches that jumped out at me, seem to point to more going on that just searching RL'S property. When I find I will post.
