I frequently use snapchat for photos and videos unless I need to get to my camera really fast. Or if I want to take a longer video. It's much faster to access my camera.
IMO Libby used her regular camera to take the video of BG. Bc you are correct, snapchat requires you to hold the button down for the entire video which only records up to 10 seconds. Also, once the video is recorded on snapchat it replays the video that was recorded over and over on loop until you send it, or delete it. And if you have the volume turned up on your phone you can hear the sounds of the video taken as it replays on loop. So I think Libby used her regular camera to record The video of BG then put her phone in her pocket which captured the audio for however long her phone was recording. ALL IMO

Agree completely. I think it's really common for people to switch back and forth between Snapchat and the Camera app. You may take a photo/video to post immediately on Snapchat, and then a longer video or a series of photos on the camera app to edit and later post on Instagram or Facebook. I do that all the time with videos of my dog.

Maybe in the longer video LE has they can see something regarding BG right hand or he never takes it out of his pocket. That could mean BG has something he doesn't want to show or he is handicapped in some way. Remember when people also said he might have a limp? This would narrow down suspects.

When Libby took the photo of Abby on the bridge she posted it to her story right after she took the photo. Here is an example of a snapchat that I added to my story this morning. The photo says posted 6 hours ago

The second photo is a photo that I took yesterday and saved to my camera roll. I uploaded it to my snapchat story just now to show you this. It shows the time stamp of when I took the photo. So that people who are watching the story know it's not a photo from "now".
So my guess is that the time stamp on her snapchat photo is a screenshot from her snap story. And the "7 hours ago" is from the time they took a screen shot of it from her story. If anyone else has any questions about snapchat feel free to tag me. I've been using snapchat for a long time now. Hope this helps!

ETA: I'm not Nancy Grace!! That just and edited snap name that my friends see. Sorry for any confusion!!

So that means that the picture Libby took of Abby and sent out on snapchat (saying "7 Hours ago"), that picture
was taken 7 hours back in time from the time Libby's friend/family member first received that photo, is that correct ?

you must believe than that he stopped talking because LE had absolutely no suspicion? He stopped talking prior to the SW, and we know LE had some suspicion on the day of the search and likely the days ahead of the search.

What i said is those that are not guilty and where LE has raised zero suspicion typically answer questions. He does not need to be guilty to stop talking, but by doing it is probably a good indication that LE has asked him questions in connection to the murders that he does not want to answer.

It's possible LE asked him questions where the answer could lead to a probation violation.

I hope you don't mind me jumping of your post but your thoughts help confirm my belief that Libby used her regular phone video system (not through snapchat) and that the video was stored on her phone and that LE has it. As I have stated before, I also do not believe that the video was stored on any kind of cloud because of the timing.

LE would have been able to get access to all of Libby's account info (including anything on a cloud) the night of the 13th. I would certainly think that the family would be handing over any account info to LE voluntarily for them to look at, especially as the night wore on. If they did access that video per a cloud then they would have known exactly what danger those girls would have been in. I then cannot see how LE would have then made a statement saying they had no reason to suspect that the girls were in any danger other than exposure to the elements.

Another confirmation for me is that experts in the field of extraction were brought in to retrieve the video footage from the phone. I am assuming again that LE has the phone but it must have been damaged to a degree that made the video not playable.

This is a news report regarding the photo of the Monon Bridge that was featured on Abby's mom's facebook. Probably just an odd coincidence as the bridge is certainly a beautiful local historic landmark but it sparked one of my theories, a motive of diabolical malicious intent directed toward Abby's family, but her mother in particular. Wild speculation only...

Do you have some links to back up what you said or is it just your opinion regarding that LE was suspicious of RL? They served many warrants besides giving one to RL. RL is locked up for another matter currently.

i think that fact that they did a search of his house with probable cause that they would find something connected to the double homicide is a pretty good indication that they had their suspicions.

From day #1 I haven't been able to figure out if the perp has a mustache or if that's his mouth under his nose!

If BG is RL, then BG has a moustache. If not then it's a mouth but we can't see it as it is right under his big nose.

I read in an article very early on in the case that LE wanted info on a man with his right hand in his pocket, among other things. Does anyone else recall this?

Could investigators know this was a habit of BG's, or have knowledge that he had cuts on his right hand? TIA.

they mentioned something along those lines at the big press conference when they released the video, although they did not mention a specific hand. Some people walk with their hands in their pockets. BG does as well...similar mannerisms.

I guess I kind of get it...if one of the girls was on life support on 2/14 would we say she was killed on 2/14? I think I would say killed 2/13, died 2/14. OR am I totally misunderstanding the semantics here? I'm still not sure if it makes a difference...

edited---now that I re-read this it makes less sense LOL. I guess mortally wounded 2/13.

From my experiences, the official statement would be something along the lines of "Died on February 14 as a result of injuries received on February 13." In other words, she was assaulted on Feb. 13 resulting in her death the following day. She wouldn't die on a different day than the one on which she was killed.

That's what I have always thought. But if that's the Creek below she must be facing North because the creek only goes under the North End right. So the body location as we look at this pic would be down the left on this side of the Creek that we are on. She must be facing and walking North in this pic.
